This is the one that I couldn't believe wasn't at least a special mention! I also have 2 of them! Theres also the 1990 football card of Brian Bosworth where the team name was different than all the others in the set? And I can't remember the players name at this moment, (edited 1-4-22 :Fred Marion was the players name) but there was a "dong card" in football too where it was actually the end of his belt flapping out in the picture...lmao

I pulled a Frank Thomas NNOF from a mystery pack at my LCS in 91 or 92... The LCS owner was a big ERR collector and he occasionally put ERR cards in his mystery packs along with a copy of the corrected card... I traded it for an Eric Lindros RC (hockey). I was 12 and didn’t know what I had at the time...I’m 41 now and it still hurts lol.

I collected sports cards in the late 80s and early 90s like many people my age. I haven't bought a sports card or pack in about 30 years. I do enjoy trading card games (Magic the Gathering, etc.), so KZfaq sometimes recommends sports card channels to me. Occasionally I'll click on one from time to time if it piques my interest. This time I'm glad I did. The subject is interesting, but more importantly I love the energy and enthusiasm of the presenter! That passion and charisma isn't something that can be taught.

The 1990 Donruss Juan Gonzalez rookie card reverse negative.....with the Ripken FF card, the scramble to correct it with black box, black scribble and the white out scribble made it iconic. The white scribble is more valuable than the FF card. The 1989 Fleer Randy Johnson with the Marlboro sign over his shoulder.......1981 Fleer Fernand Valenzuela instead of Fernando.

I'm happy you went with the Bill Ripken as #1. In my opinion, there's no other error card that has received so much attention over the years, has gone up in value, still getting more popular, but is also somewhat easily assessable to everyone and has a million different variations of the error. There's a website dedicated to what seems like an almost unlimited number of variations of this error card, variations you would never otherwise think would be out there. I was lucky enough to find a seller selling a lot that contained a PSA 10, 9, 8, 7 and a PSA 6 right before they went crazy is value. I sold the 6 and the 7, made my money back and the 10, 9 and 8 were free. Doesn't get much better than that. I did have some sellers remorse due to the fact I later thought about possibly having the first PSA "Rainbow" with one of every grade. I thought it would be too hard to find the PSA 1-5's as ironic as that is.

The 1977 Topps C-3PO boner card is one of my favorite error cards. There is actually at least five versions. There is the Topps and the O'Pee Chee error card. There is the Topps and O'Pee Chee corrected version. and there is the Topps airbrushed version. I do not know if O'Pee Chee had a airbrushed version. You can totally see the airbrushed version. I have around 20 of these cards with only one being the airbrushed version. I probably have around 20 of the corrected version. The original story is a disgruntled worker modified the card shortly before he was fired. Topps story is Anthony Daniels C-3PO suit had some glue come undone. The picture was taken and submitted for the card and it was missed in editing.
