You have explained only about one side operation. If train is also coming from other side also, then station master will take one train on loop line. It is still used on single track lines, especially on branch lines.

Yes, it is correct when train is stopping on every station. But some trains are nonstopping trains. For example one train starts from Bombay , which is non stopping train and the next stop is pune. The distance is 200 km . What process is adopted in this distance .

There are also procedures that need to be adhered to. For example if a running train does not receive a Neale Ball ? Can 2 or more trains be allowed to travel in the same direction?
