Bro , kyuki jab rain hoti h toh loco ke roof pe lage sare connection insulated hote , aur direct accidental earthing connection hota h , bychance agar barish k mausam me loco ki roof pe current leak hota h toh directly current earth me jata h , lekin loco ki chat pe arcing and explosion hote rahenge

EMF of the current affects the RF sets and GSM frequency of the drivers equipment.. hence to keep a healthy distance from that strong EMF field, the rear one is deployed instead of the pentograph overhead the driver

In high rise OHE section front Panto is used because it is observed with aerodynamic forces rear Panto causes sparking, i saw this in other youtuber's video.

The friction on pantos are quite low as they are made of graphite. Graphite is an excellent conductor and also a solid lubricant (Due to way graphite forms bonds in its lattice). The most likely reason is that when a rear panto is raised, it DRAGS (Rather than dig) the OHE and thereby the wear on the panto slider is lower. This is mostly done during summer and dry seasons. When its wet, the thin water layer on the wire can act as a barrier for higher current causing surges in the power leading to component stresses. To prevent this, the forward panto will be used as this causes the panto to DIG into the wire and make harder contact (Imagine dragging a stick in sand to pushing it from the back - the latter will cause the stick to dig into the sand). For a loco thats capable of pulling 7000 ton loads, the friction on the panto is way too miniscule - infact its not even measurable.

Knowledge less person will not like. It is correct reason. Pan head of contact point have two contact points. 1st graphite (carbon) 2nd brass/ aluminium or other metal Graphite is lubricant and good conductor so as per design it should come before brass. That is reason mostly rear panto used. When 1st panto raised brass metal will come in action and graphite will behind. During winter front panto used by NR Because no need of carbon(graphite) because watery surface of ohe gives smooth contact.

The temperature of frost is much lower than the temperature of a water droplets so the intermolecular velocity of molecules is relatively zero in frost so they easily settle down at a place where it attaches. But in tge case of rain droplets the relative velocity is greater so they doesn't settles down...

The big zigzag porcelain wire holder doesn't make a continuous thread of water droplet to the roof of the loco. When water droplet comes to the sharp edge of the wire holder, it is thrown out by the air passing beside it. Thus earthing is prohibited. And the components are covered with corrosion resistant material helps to minimise the decay.

Sayed app ka version galat hae. Electicity ka ek di electric value hota hai.agar uske adik ho to insulation break hota hai. Safety ke karan peche ka pantograph use hota hai. Current sab se kam raste se ground ko jati hai. Probility of ceramic insulation break lako me ek hota hai.mene ek bar tram driver ke ser ke bal pe aag lagte dekha tha. This follows the same principle of a lighting strike.

Frost settles down on disc insultion along with with dust that may result into insulator failure where as rain water cleans the insulator so no leakage current path . Hence insulator remains safe.

आजकल सर्दियों में भी रेयर पैंटोग्राफ अधिक उपयोग किया जा रहा है।। बारिश में पानी हर जगह बराबर गिरता है और सूख भी जाता है जबकि सर्दियों में ओस की बूंदें इंजन के ऊपर किसी एक स्थान विशेष (जैसे डी.बी.आर) पर ही इकट्ठी हो जाती होंगी इसिलए शायद सामने वाले को उठा लिया जाता होगा।।

Winter season me Kota division me front panto use Kiya Jata hai . Front panto use karane se mist /dew servomotor par nahin garati . Cold dew girane se servomotor JAM ho jati hai . Yadi loco pilot ne kisi Karan panto lower kar diya tab raise hone me difficulty Hoti hai .

I've a question. If the reasons mentioned in the video are to go by, then how come EMUs always run with their front pantos up? Given the number of frequent trips EMUs have to go for every day, they should have their pantos pointed to the rear direction, because they have the biggest possibility to face the danger conditions mentioned in the video here. Then why do they have front-facing pantos? Can somebody explain?
