I would give anything if Dice would: -redesign all cosmetic items to be historically accurate -set camouflage to maps instead of have it as a cosmetic option -add the Italian faction to the game and replacing the German faction in the Greece maps with them -adding French, Greek, and Norwegian factions -add air assault game modes and naval combat -add the Russians -add the invasion of Normandy and the take back of Europe -add nazi flags and uniforms. WW2 was due to the NAZI party, it’s an insult to all of the victims of their tyranny to pretend like they didn’t exist Many of those are extremely unlikely and I don’t expect Dice to do them, but it’s still a nice thought

Dice I stayed through the whole first year of BF5. I even stayed after that first catastrophic period where everyone had jumped due to bugs and lack of content. I stayed and loved every part of the new Pacific maps. Then you dropped 5.2, and that is when I knew you weren’t listening. At that point I left, because nobody wanted that. No new players were coming. Everyone who stayed for so long just jumped ship and left. The dedicated ones wrote a list of things that needed fixing on the way out. I feel like after all this time you forgot rule one, make your game fun.

A ttk revert to 5.0 for starters. I've lost all confidence and faith in Dice after 5.2. They ruined my favorite game and then went on vacation.

I was having a blast when the two pacific maps came out. It made me come back to the game. Then the TTK, and new spotting changes came in out of nowhere. Now I’m back to playing this game maybe twice a month for just a couple hours.

I cant believe how much dice messed up on making a WW2 shooter. Been playing Hell Let Loose and Post Scriptum and they offer far better WW2 experiences and from indie developers... BF5 is dead, i uninstalled that game months ago. Pretty graphics but horrendous execution in gameplay and mechanics. Poor excuse of a game in the BF franchise.

BFV at the end of 2019 was the game that made me doubt that DICE can do this anymore... It's really sad the state of the game. It's not that it's just gotten patched the wrong way with bad TTK, no anti-cheat, no team balance... it has less features than any other battlefield game. I go back and play BF4 and BF1 a lot lately and those games just felt good. I never really had many complaints about BF4 and 1 during their runs, but BFV has just felt 'alpha' this whole time. I've been grinding away at CoDMW lately and after not playing a COD game since 4, I'm loving it.

This video is so accurate. Battlefield is my favorite series, but 2019 i was constantly on and off BFV, and every single time i got off was because of a reason talked about in this video. Dice just needs to go on social media for 5min, we (the player base) are very clear about what we want.

this new ttk update has my timing all messed up, I stop shooting at players thinking they'll be dropped then having to fire again. so frustrating.

Saving Private Ryan is what I wanted. We ended up getting a knock off instead.

Simple revert the ttk (even with the new weapons added), make the game more historically accurate (by giving certain weapons and gadgets to there respected countries) and add the Russian theater.

that whole segment from 9:01 on with Under No Flag in the background is like an inspirational monologue directed at DICE and I absolutely loved it Just like LevelCap, as much as I want to be real and face the fact that the game has very little room to redeem itself, I also want this game to experience this sort of a comeback. Maybe they'll pull another Battlefront II on us, given some time. I won't cry if they don't, but I certainly look forward to more this year

I'm honestly done with this game after 5.2, even 5.2.2 didn't make things that much better. I won't come back until they have full private match content, or until they bring in the eastern front.

I agree with everything you've said here, Charlie. My list is similar; perhaps with a different order of importance: 1. Active, honest-to-God, working anti-cheat. Stop *saying* an anti-cheat is important to the game and ACTUALLY implement one. Everyone knows that there isn't one running at all. Cheaters flaunt it during games, in in-game chat. No one from Dice or EA seem to care. This needs to stop. Now. Like, yesterday. It shouldn't have ever been a thing to begin with. I'm not naive enough to think the battle against cheaters can ever be completely won. But, Dice's approach with BFV is: do nothing? No bueno. 2. Stop farking around with massive, sweeping weapon balance changes. We're on "strike two" now. Little adjustments here and there may be acceptable. But not 5.2-level. Stop. That. Shit. Just stop. No one has asked for it, no one wanted it, and it did nothing positive for the game. 3. This one is harder because of the server infrastructure they've chosen. I suspect Amazon's EC2 may not have been the right choice. Simply because Amazon's infrastructure isn't everywhere in the world that Dice has customers. EC2 does exist in a lot of the heavily-populated areas, but it isn't everywhere. Further, Dice withdrew from some of the markets that EC2 is in, forcing, for instance, UK players to "hop" over to Germany to play. Even though EC2 does have a UK presence. EC2 instances are expensive, and they get more and more expensive the longer they run. It's great that you can spin them up and tear them down; fantastic for web servers and whatnot. But game servers that the community want to run? Hmmm. Maybe not so much. This might have been a place where the cloud isn't the right choice, and racks of servers run by independent game server companies works better. See: BF2/3/4/BC2/etc. 4. Maps, maps, maps, map, maps, maps, maps, maps! More. Maps! I actually don't care about more weapons, or more planes/tanks/vehicles, or any such stuff. Maps. Maps make the game fun or not so much. We need more. And when they're done doing those, make some more.

Assignments still suck and we cant change them in game, lmg/mmg supressios has no effect vs recons , no1 wants to be passenger/gunner in plane.... and i wonder if they change brit&german vehicles to same style upgrade tree as usa&japan.

I am kind of late to the party, just bought bf5 together with a friend because of the pacific update. Got to say, first impressions were not good, we play on the ps4 and we had big problems on certain maps with everything being very blurry and it looked like the resolution was off, very hard to see. Putting motion blur to 0 seemed to help a bit with that. Next to that, been enjoying it a lot, especialy the big maps with a lot of vehicles, conquest is to chaotic imo, but breakthrough is awesome, overall very good. Gunplay seems a bit arcade to me, i dont realy know what it is, cant put my finger on that. Last thing, it may be a bit cliche now since there has been a lot of conversation about This already, but it realy, realy breaks our immersion, running around on iwo jima, being all in the moment, feeling like you actualy are there, the real thing, and then seeing some women running around, screaming like lunatics, in some kind of superman skin that can be bought from the store, i know, i might be old fashioned, but this simply destroys the "immersive" ww2 feeling. Besides that, its worth a buy, full price? Nah, we bought it for 20 euros on a sale.

Still waiting for the modern style battlefield to come out. Bf3 was great, Bf4 was legendary. Bf1 died out quickly and so did clan participation. Bf5 doesnt even get my money. Id rather play Battlefront 2 or go back to Bf4. I have a whole clan who is playing other games in the hopes that the next Battlefield title with bring the clan back together. Great videos LevelCap. As an old school bf player (started with BF2) I bought and played BF1 for a bit and I'm now still finding myself playing BF4 only. Never bought or played BF5. Hope the next one is a kicker. Fingers crossed for Battlefield 2143 or something. A man can dream.
