Every now and again I like to do an indoor video, no matter the weather. When we used to do all the festivals - Bloodstock, Hammerfest, Hard Rock Hell etc, it was always great to meet up again with friends and like minded people from all over the country and that was part of the festival, the meet ups and the friendliness of it all. Yeah for me that is the very best part of festivals , I went to Donnington Monsters of Rock 1988 and it was a life changing experience for 16 year old me , something very tribal about it, best wishes pal 🦇🦇🖤🖤

As a child, i was never the cool kid in mainstream. I was always different. Sometimes it was hard in younger years. Very hard was some critic that was not fair through years from different ages. Now in the middlel of life, im very comfort in being alternative. Good that i have gone that way. Good that i have meet my people. Interesting is, that i get compliments from "normal/mainstream" people for my look the last years....( and you see the ebm, horror punk, classic biker... sometimes with glam... look very much in my daily life after work) Thats totaly new for me. But its so. Than i look back in life of the reactions from people and dont know what to say. Crazy times we life. Stay different, stay free, stay good to each other. I hope my english is not to bad to understand. Greetings from northwestern german countryside John.

Thank you , I too am comfortable at my age to be honest it gets to a point when you just don't care anyone about small minded people , it is a bit more difficult when you are young , mainstream type people are a lot better these days in general. Good description and advice John; I really enjoyed this.......finding beauty and acceptance in the weird and 'alternative' ...that which makes us unique....always good to find your tribe! I've been Punk, Goth and Metal; really into bands like Behemoth and Rhaug at the moment. Best wishes....stay safe.....stay weird 🖤⛧🖤

Thanks Gilly , I think the alternative scenes overlap on certain things, I was into metal as a kid and young teen, then into punk for along time , but more into goth for quite a few years now , I've liked goth since I was a teen as well as punk , but goth is more how I identify these days, as its where my interests are. I do still listen to punk and metal bands though and enjoy the music. Best wishes Gilly 🦇🦇🖤🖤

For me it's also the political/societal, I don't mean ranting and raving (although I'm sure you've seen a bit of that from me!) just the idea that things could be better.

Good point. Im active since over ten years, and for 4 years now councilman and i think i will go on. In the beginning, i was the absolut alien. I think, some were a bit afraid what is coming. Politics are often to old, and to normal. So they have their perspective, make the decisions etc from their world thats "normal". There are not many alternative people realy active in democraties different institutions. Its sad, cause politic should show all people, not normal old men that had never realy contact to the alternative cultures.

@@thehealthanarchist That political aspect had been my way, becoming councilman. But its a two aspect hard way. First you are alternative. Their are not many of us. So you are exotic... sometimes i think some are a bit afraid what is coming. Second: With an alternative view, you are not much people. There are not many politicans that had real deep contact to alternative cultures, ore are active in that cultures. But if politic should show ore represent all people, it must have active alternative people. If there are no alternative people, its not a real representation of all.
