What a wonderful landscape. What a interesting history. At the area near I live the romans had a not so good time. There must be a great assault from the forest and moorland to a big roman military campaign that must had been destroyed from it. A britisch Officer Major Clunn detected a lot of coins and staff in the 1980s. A roman cavallery Helmut masc was found later and much other stuff until today.

Look like really nice walking weather. And beautiful views too. Intresting history too. And yes, it can feel strange knowing what type of people walked there much, much earlier. Haha... That's my type of humor too! You should put down in description box what music you have in the video. Didn’t recognize the one today, but did love what I heard. Thanks for sharing John. Thanks , yes it was a great weather for walking sunny but not too hot , I really love a bit of history when walking, I will start adding the track info for songs I use, the one I used in the video was from some lyrics I wrote called Whoever you want to be, the music is computer generated on a song writing website called Udio , I have done many songs specifically for my channel on there , which I will make available for free download soon ,. I am also still working on a music/art project separate from my channel music , I have played and recorded the bass and guitar parts on these and the vocalist is still finishing his vocal parts on these songs when he gets time from the two jobs he does, but its going great. Hope you have a nice evening take care 🖤🖤🦇🦇🖤🖤

Thank you , it was a very calming walk , the main reason that I go out to these places, my mind is constantly deep in thought about the history of the area , I wonder what went on there in roman times from day to day and what their duties were and if there were any skirmishes and battles with the local celts. I love the 'dark' of the woodland! I love the way the light falls on the path and road in your video, its magical. Love the history of Stalybridge and the local area; that man who cleared it is a legend. Thanks Gilly , I love the shaded places in the summer or places you can disappear from the public when you want a bit of peace, that guy who has cleared it , I've seen him a few times , he is extremely quiet and introverted , I think he got made redundant I've been told and has used his time in such a positive way. It was an impassible bog up there for years. I'm actually thinking it would be cool to do a Halloween night walk up there with old school lanterns with a few mates to experience what it was like in places like that in the past, I agree let the darkness reign 🤣🤣, best wishes my friend 🖤🖤🦇🦇

So, its not realy gloomy for me seeing it in good weather and summertime. But i can understand people that are a bit.... you know.... walking in woodland. As a child it was a enchanted place for me.... when the weather was to dark, ore the forest was so deep and dark.

The only thing I was interested in at school was history absolutely fascinated me and could not wait for the history lesson every week. Its funny how those old roads are still there and still look pretty substantial, yet out modern roads are all covered in potholes. Great day to be out walking and the surrounding countryside looked great too, especially with it all being so quiet. I am always chilled out when I am walking in the outdoors and despite being a very social person, always happy with a very quiet walk, cheers Alan

Yes and I've noticed some of the little country roads vary from town to town, like you can be walking a road in an appalling state and when you cross over into another borough district the same road can become really well maintained . Dear Johnny: While I have only known about you & have been subscribed for the past three months or so & alas I don't comment on every video, as a Punk/Horror-Punk sort of combo, I wanted to say that indeed. While I love Alternative sub culture's music and the clothing (fashion; though alas I'm not a "Fashion Punk" either), I also pay attention to lyrical content. Even if the band/artist hates & really dislikes said song. I'll listen to Punk Rock of the '70s, even obscure stuff weekly. I'm also into mental health more as I'm older. Meaning I wanna befriend more Alternative sub culture people. Provided they'll be polite and not passive aggressive or gas lighters. Or to presume that I must be some "rube hick" just because I'm a Middle American when I'm from a city of two million, originally. Such ignorance from others. But yeah man, I agree. Walking over the previous two years has (somewhat) also helped my bleek depression. My father passed away over two years ago in the industrial Southern city of Shreveport, Louisiana and I think about him a lot. So yeah I also walk a lot. Life also hasn't been "super easy" for me. There's a lot on my home continent of North America that truly "isn't really for me". Not to mention that I also have mild Asperger's Syndrome but thankfully it isn't as severe as many others on our bickering planet. So yeah keep at it my friend. Also never forget that it is okay to have bad/shit days & to "fail" sometimes. You can always get right back up & to try new and different things within 24 hours more. That is something that I fear/worry about others not really understanding that one bad, shitty day alas isn't the whole end of one's entire life now. Cheers mate and really this was a great video.☠👍PUNK ROCK LOVE as I say.

Hi , I was into horror punk and the darker more gothy side of punk most of my life then I moved over to more on the goth side of life these last 10 years , I guess when I had to recalibrate my life , I just accepted that I'm more of a goth than a punk these day if was honest with myself, still love my dark punk stuff though. Yeah there are lots of great alternative people but as with everything there a few toxic ones ,especially on the internet ,so always best to be a little cautious. I'm sorry you lost your dad , its heartbreaking losing someone close. Life is difficult for a lot of people and we all have different struggles , which is why it is important to try and be kind and show a bit of humanity to each other, and not give any time to toxic people if possible , life is short. I agree that having a bad day or even week or two is 99& of the time a temporary thing , sometimes it's hard to see it at the time , but life experience has taught me things can and very often do improve given time. Thank you and take care mate 🦇🦇🖤🖤
@He_Loves_Horror

Sorry for the belated reply John, but I was super busy the other night with relatives that came over to wanna watch the Summer Olympics (though alas I could give two shits LOL) and to have a quickie dinner with me. So I choose to be sociable. Would have replied earlier, if not. Ah I see. There is indeed a dark side of Punk Rock. Such as the cult classic mid '80s horror/comedy film The Return of the Living Dead (the original; I enjoyed the two sequels afterwards but the original is one of the best zombie movies of all time; I'm _NOT_ joking). Agreed on the cautious side so alas I only reply to general & more positive minded posts. I largely stay out of music & fashion discussions. Sure: It of course fascinates me (to a point) or else I wouldn't be in a sub-culture! Heh heh. Though I see a _TON_ of gatekeeping in the Punk scene, as well as the phrase "poser" used in around 80% of the posts on KZfaq (ugh, that pointless phrase). So it is actually a sub-culture that I simply enjoy by myself, as sad & pointless as it sounds. I'm a music lover, a fashion lover as well as a general ideal lover. But a lot of Punks & Goths are much more left leaning politically while I, alas, am more of a somewhat right leaning Libertarian if you will. So I also keep quiet on my political beliefs. Agreed on pretty much all that you wrote. However I've always made the remark that life is actually _NOT_ overly short but actually long. We're all stuck on this earth, if we eat enough boring foods & exercise, for around 80 years if we're lucky. So it isn't as super short as many believe if you look up Life Expectancy statistics. But we're all truly lucky to be here on our bickering earth for these many decades, flaws & all of humanity put aside. It isn't _THAT_ bad 'n miserable as many proclaim now. LOL But indeed: Enjoy your life & take it easy my new friend that I made this year. Always enjoy collecting your hobbies and passions and enjoy music, games plus interacting with others. Cheers, mate!! PUNK ROCK LOVE. ☮☠🖤

Good point. Im active since over ten years, and for 4 years now councilman and i think i will go on. In the beginning, i was the absolut alien. I think, some were a bit afraid what is coming. Politics are often to old, and to normal. So they have their perspective, make the decisions etc from their world thats "normal". There are not many alternative people realy active in democraties different institutions. Its sad, cause politic should show all people, not normal old men that had never realy contact to the alternative cultures.

@@thehealthanarchist That political aspect had been my way, becoming councilman. But its a two aspect hard way. First you are alternative. Their are not many of us. So you are exotic... sometimes i think some are a bit afraid what is coming. Second: With an alternative view, you are not much people. There are not many politicans that had real deep contact to alternative cultures, ore are active in that cultures. But if politic should show ore represent all people, it must have active alternative people. If there are no alternative people, its not a real representation of all.
