I started with an A6400 and bought the 28-70 kit lens for full frame used for like $80, after about 6 months I saved up for the Sigma 35mm then went into the deep end and got my a7IV about a year and a half after my a6400. I cannot recommend the a6400 or the a7IV enough!

Nice! Both are dope cameras. Can’t say enough good things about the a7iv.

Good video ! But such a complex topic. Most people tend to buy features (high priced) that they probably don’t need. Important feature is the display and how you can adjust the view angle. Also important is the camera controls- buttons and menu.

Thanks! Oh for sure, I probably could have made this a 30 minute video, there are so many variables and things to consider. That being said, I think beginners should just pick up a cheap camera that’s ‘good enough’ and then learn through using the camera what features it may be lacking or need that it doesn’t have. The big issue is that a beginner doesn’t know what they don’t know, it’s really through experience you figure a lot of it out.

Yeah fair enough, like I say there are so many good options I couldn’t possibly list all of them ! I do prefer the bigger full frame cameras so I prefer the a7iii & a7iv over the c versions, but that comes down to personal preference for sure.

Nice video (; I was thinking about starting with a sony a7c but i don't know what lense to choose because there's too much options. (and they are very expensive)

Go for it, it’s a great camera as well! The one thing I’m not a huge fan of with the a7c is the size. I actually prefer a bigger camera body with more buttons, feels more like an older DSLR 😜. I have a lens video on the way, stay tuned !

Great video but why is there a bottle of oil on your wall behind the monitor
@shoottochange5 ай бұрын
Haha it’s not actually oil. It’s the packaging for a shirt, one of the Pete’s moto life shirts. Pretty clever packaging

@@shoottochange ohhhh that makes more sense considering I’ve seen those shirts 😂😂

Honestly for photography, HOW can you not recommend getting a used DSLR? Canon DSLR has so many bargains on the EF lens market.

I spoke about this in the video. It’s thinking ahead. Why not just spend a few hundred extra and get a mirrorless camera. I’ve seen so many beginners start with a used DSLR, myself included. You think you’re saving money and “what if I don’t like photography”. But more often than not, people will upgrade. New fancy full frame mirrorless camera. Need to buy all new lenses. Or switch camera brands. Or realize they want to shoot some video. It’s a small difference in cost now to avoid a much bigger one in the future. If you knew you’d never go to a full frame mirrorless camera and be satisfied with the DSLR for photos, I agree with you. But let’s be real, how often does that actually happen.

Why didn't the R8 make the 1-2k range?
@shoottochange5 ай бұрын
Because I’m biased towards Sony 😅. It’s the Canon lenses man, they’re too expensive
