Hello my cyclist subscribers. This video is going to be unusual. Once again, a bike was brought to our bike shop that broke down for an unusual reason. As they say, there's always a first time for everything. I've never seen ordinary grass break a bike's shifter before. Because of the grass that was on the bike's shifter sprocket, the rear derailleur holder attachment was broken. I think it would be very useful for you to know which part will prevent a similar breakdown in the future. I'm going to show you how to fix the bike. This will be a short lesson on how to replace the bracket that secures the rear derailleur to the bike frame. Also, I will show you how to adjust the rear derailleur. I will perform the removal and installation of a bicycle's rear derailleur and fix a deformed derailleur frame.

Same s..t happened with me on my commute to work. Rear derailleur’s hanger splits in half and I did walk for an hour till I get to my work place^^

Chain is one set of links to short ...it's going to happen again. Yeah I know that is a cross chain gear combination that shouldn't get use , but it's going to done anyway. I do rolling up to a stop sign occasionally and quickly shift out of it as soon as I get rolling again. And those new plastic ferrals ( I like those longer ones too they usually outlast the housing and don't corrode like the metal ones making the adjuster barrel difficult to useless) . Oh I was going to say tug hard(maby use a rag I don't but I've done for decades and skin got a bit tough)on the exposed cable and seat the new housing into the new plastic ferrals the derailleur will stay in adjustment much longer. You should try and pick yourself up an XT 770 Shadow rear derailer 👍👍. I bought mine back in 2009 ($190.00🍁) and it still works Great. Altus is ok at best.

wonder if you know what my bikes problem is, when i shift gears to smaller sprocket it makes this loud clicking sound but when i put it in the upper gear it goes away! not sure if its coming from the back or the middle and its just not nice to use anymore!! hope you can help me out Thanks!!

Without seeing the bike it's hard to answer. Most likely it's the rear derailleur settings. See if the derailleur rollers are in the same plane as the small sprocket when you shifted to it.

Tenkrat se mi stalo neco podobneho. Jel jsem v zime a pri prehazovani se mi dostala prehazovacka nebo raminko prehazovacky do dratu. Jel jsem smikem po naledi a prehazovacka mi urvala dva draty z vypletu. Nevim do dnes z jakeho duvodu se to mohlo stat. Ale o prehazovacku jsem se nejak nestaral.

Tam göstermedin ama keşke zinciride sökmüşken temizleseydin. Birde Shimano zincir kerpeteniyle söküldükyen sonra tekrar aynı zincir baklakarının kullanılmasını önermiyor. Kopma olabilir diyor. Tabii tercih meselesi. Çektiğin video için teşekkür ederim. Her zaman öğrenilecek şeyler vardır.

That was a KMC chain they uuse a different link than Shimano. The KMC quick connect link is good for a few reconnects . When it doesn't reconnect with a good solid snap into the seat replace it for sure. Shimano's low end connects are certainly single use . I don't use those anyway. I usually use the "break off pin" as much as possible . Those are also single use . But if it's properly installed they rarely fail. I also prefer not to remove a chain until it's being replaced if at all possible. Clean it on the bike and lube often. That chain was overdue and the quick link looked like it snapped in place a little sloppy.

KMC chains come with a lock that completely eliminates problems with pins

Łatwo się naprawia pełni uposażonym serwisie rowerowym niż we własnym zakresie Naprawiałem se sam rower A miałem uszkodzony hak Uszkodzoną kasetę nawet nie dała normalnie odkręcić uszkodziła mi narzędzia koło miało uszkodzone szprychy By odkręcić kasetę trzeba było obciąć nakrętkę mocująca kasetę Czego nie zrobiłem to ustawienie haka
