Hello and welcome to our channel where today I'm having to think of ways to use up 6 pints of milk as it has gone a day past it's best by date.

Delicious Maria, I could eat any of those, also make my custard in the microwave and I love bird’s custard, haven’t had banana custard for ages but you made my mouth water especially when you mentioned adding cream, you certainly must have been a hit at tea time 😊❤

I'd not had bananas and custard for a long time, it was really nice. The rice pudding is gorgeous done in the slow cooker, so creamy. Thank you for watching 😊

Hi Maria, you picked some good things to use your milk up. I bet the cake was nice. It's years since i've had bananas in custard. You could also have made a big batch of Yorkshire puddings and froze them. Or you could have done some hot chocolate and coffee made with milk. I've used milk a couple of days past the use buy date and it's been fine. Anyway well done for what you achieved

Yorkshire puddings is a good one. I did think if I had some left over I might make a milky coffee. I haven't had bananas in custard for a long time so I'm looking forward to that one 😊

I've never tried making butter. It'd be a good way of using milk and I imagine it would taste nice 😊

I think to make butter from milk, it needs to be raw milk (without the cream removed). Making butter from cream is so easy. I do it all the time now. I always look in the reduced section for double cream and make it then. Much cheaper than buying butter, and tastes better too.

My milk is always out of date. I find it never seems to go off these days . . . I wonder why 🤔 The same with cream. Years ago it was usually 'off' before the sell by date 🤷‍♀ You made good use of your milk. I bet your family loved having all the delicious treats 😊

I've noticed that too. Mine was one day over its date, but still smelled and looked fresh. Yes my lot love all of the desserts, they suggest more for me to make. I'll end up needing my own cow to milk if I was to make everything they suggest 😂

Hello Maria, it looks like you're got your recipes to use up the milk, I took a peek on line on I think it's wicki how🧐not sure but there's is a recipe for vanilla ice cream using just milk sugar and vanilla extract and no ice cream maker. My friend used to make this simple ice cream but she added some cream as well. If you ever give it a go it has to stirred through every few hours to stop icicles forming in the ice cream. She used to make strawberry ice cream, was lovely😋😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I keep thinking of things🤪 if your feeling healthy Maria some nice fresh home made yoghurt? Then mash ya strawberries in a little sugar or use some jam in it,😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Just freeze it and then use it another time. We freeze our milk all the time and have no issues with it

I do freeze milk, it was just that because this was a 6 pint carton I'd never beable to use it all before it went off once I defrosted it. A lot more tastier this way too 😋 Thank you for watching 😊
