I want the new Red Dead to be set before the events of RDR2 playing as Dutch and the gang as Dutch moved from Philly across the Poconos linking up with Hosea then into the Midwest where John and Arthur joined the gang and they continue west.

Jack Marston killing Agent Ross is the perfect ending to the story of the Van Der Linde gang. If they ever make RDR3, it needs to be another prequel, or totally unrelated.

Personally I've always rooted for a retelling of Red Harlow, I know that he is considered a legend in the redemption series but a redux on his story with the existing game design would be really interesting. I think some version of Red Harlow has to be real, after all Landon Rickets was told as some kind of legend in RDR2 as well so I don't feel that it's too farfetched of an idea. With the retelling of Red Harlow's story, that also comes with a set of characters that you could rewrite. Each of those characters represent a very important aspect of the wild west which RDR does a good job of holding on to. This way the writers could still go back in time, but still give us something new.

I want to see the events leading up to Blackwater. We can play as Mac Callander. It adds the potential to actually establish them and others as fleshed out characters, instead of just dead gang members, and we can see the beginnings for characters we already know. I’d like to see Davy and Mac go from maybe, brothers who just kinda ride with the gang without any real commitment turn into loyal members who happily sacrifice themselves for their friends at Blackwater.

I’m glad someone else shares this perspective, whenever someone mentions a continuation of Jack’s story someone says “but that wouldn’t be in the Wild West”. The redemption games have never been in the Wild West, the backdrop has always been a dying time thanks to the ever evolving world around them.

personally i’d want a red dead remaster more than a third game, but a sadie adler spinoff in south america is undeniably appealing

Kinda want it to take place in the late 1850s early 1860s for the gold rush. I feel like you can get a great Early western story from those years.

I like the idea of the third game validating the sacrifices john and arthur had made even more and jack being the best thing to come out of the group

Honestly it would make more sense if we went further back in time to the formation of the gang 1. because Jack killing Ross should be the definitive end to the series as it wouldn't fit with the wild west theme to continue on into WW1 and 2. because it gives you the option to play the games chronologically. It also wouldn't make much sense to start with 1 go back to the past with 2 and then pick up after 1 with Jack. As for who to play as either Dutch or Hosea or perhaps even Mac Callender. We could see the golden days of the wild west, see Dutch become friends with Colm Odriscoll and later fall out with him. Him recruiting both Arthur and John and maybe even have a time skip to see them older. There's so much potential like John meeting Abigail, the other gang members joining and the events of the Blackwater massacre. Overall I don't mind if they don't do a third but it would be interesting to see more backstory as well as giving more depth to pre established characters.

A RDR3 could gone few ways. Jack gets drafted the war, or avoids it and fights gangs at home. Sadie has huge potential. Charles has a fantastic storyline never told. Sam Freeman would be my number one pick however. That's got a HUGE potential especially for the rise of a former slave into power

My favourite part of RDR2 is that the epilogue is a “they all lived happily ever after” type of story. It makes things feel really bittersweet, when you know what happens in the first game

I want Jack's story to continue to truly wrap up the story of redemption so John and Arthur's deaths weren't in vain. Even if he's just a side character, I want to see a good conclusion. We could even have an entirely new character that just befriends and helps Jack. It can even include alternate history elements like affecting the 1912 election and whether America joins World War 1. Also, the height of the Mexican revolution would be occuring.

They talk a lot about the calendar boys at the start of RDR2. I reckon both Calendar brother could be the main characters in the next. With the game ending during or a little after the the black water ferry job. Mac was said to have lingered on a little longer after that job but never met up with the Van Der Linde gang and probably got caught up by the pinkertons. Both brothers were praised throughout and were said to be violent, heartless and unpredictable.. but also described as complex and layered with a heart. It’s been said during a random campfire chat in RDR2 that Mac brawled 15 sailors at once, which kinda sounds like something a player would do in a free roaming game. This version would be great for seeing the real personality of Dutch seep through at the early stages until he cracks at the black water ferry job at the end of the game. As well as how some Gang members joined, like Micah. Seeing Arthur’s early love life. And witnessing John Marston positive or negative reaction to Jacks birth.

I think a prequel showing how the gang formed would be sweet

I think it’d be cool to have a new protagonist in Mexico or something. Maybe the protagonist you play as started off as a criminal of sorts and due to some sort of fill in the blank events he decides to now redeem himself with doing good for his family, the helpless of Mexico in dire need of assistance, and his country as a whole by being a part of Reyes’ Rebels to (what he thought would be) saving his country from the oppression of Colonel Allende. But then realizes later on that in doing so, he’s been made to harm possibly one or more of the innocents he once saved/helped for Reyes’ through being misinformed and lied to for Reyes’ bidding, who has an insatiable lust for power maybe more than Allende. And if they wanted to really go dark and gritty with it, maybe he inadvertently harms his own family in some way due to him being led astray by Reyes’ lies or finds out that his family has been captured or killed. There’s a lot of blank spots in this possible story but i think that’d be pretty cool. and POSSIBLY if they were to stretch it even more, you could throw Jack somewhere in the middle or end to lead up to a 4th and final game with Jack being the protagonist. With Jack being in this story, it could give him assets and help in Mexico should Jack’s story extend there (which in all honesty he should have red dead 1 and 2’s maps along with Mexico.

I think that rdr3 should be somewhat of a “clean slate” so to speak because there is really no need to push jack’s story any further and there is also no need to go back to early Vander Lin gang because if it were to follow like rdr and rdr2 then there would be no epilogue because it would go right into rdr2. So I think that it should go way back to maybe the beginning of the Wild West era at the end of the civil war around 1865 since the game is about change in society/civilization it would be a nice change instead of it being the end of an era it would be the beginning of one.

It would be awesome to see Jack, Sadie and Charles teaming up to be like vigilante bounty hunters like Red Harlow's crew, but in the end get redemption by leaving that life, ending the trail of revenge still in an epic finale of gunsmoke, but still by learning from the past of Arthur and John. The idea of Jack surviving his redemption arc and writing stories about it makes sense if you consider that in GTA 5 there's a book on a shelf titled, Red Dead, and the author is "J. Marston".

If we do get a rdr3 i would like it to be either in the past as dutch just after he left his mother but just a few missions before meeting hosea and starting the gang or in the future meaning like maybe a few years before 1920 or so as jack taking the driver seat and seeing how his arc plays out

The year is 1911, the protagonist is Sadie Adler she is doing some bounty hunting in north Colombia and south Panama when a group of Pinkerton’s attempt to sweeten her into capturing Jack marston however she knows this is a trick. So she must travel through Central America and through the Mexican war to warn Jack marston bounty hunting for money along her way

Yeah I felt the same, dissapointed that I wasn't playing as John. However, after a few hours like yourself, I found myself caring for Arthur in a way I hadn't previously cared about other video game protagonists. Rdr2 is most certainly the best game ever made for me.

I think Red Dead 3 should have Jack expanding the ranch. Make it bigger, hire more hands, and have the biggest ranch in the state. Be Allie’s with McFarlanes ranch and Pronghorn ranch. But be enemies with a knew ranch who just appears in West Elizabeth after the end of the first game. And Jack and the new ranch go to war. The war would start in the middle of the game. And the game would end with an elderly Jack telling stories to his grand kids about Red dead 2 and Red dead 1. And he passes the ranch on to his son. He also starts a family in the beginning of red dead 3. Kind of like John Dutton from Yellowstone.

I don’t know if I’d want to see another red dead REDEMPTION, but definitely another Red Dead game. If that makes sense. I absolutely want rockstar to create story is in the western genre. It’s just there isn’t much that NEEDS to be told within the Redemption storyline. Things that sound super interesting such as the black water massacre would’ve been better suited for a DLC chapter, or not be told at all, remaining a mystery. I almost don’t want to the events of black water because of how ambiguous it should remain. For me, the only story I want to see that focuses on the legacy characters, is the start of the gang, up to the black water massacre. I don’t know how they’d work out an epilogue, because after blackwater you head straight to the mountains. But the game wouldn’t necessarily need to be open world either, if it fell Under another name. It could be a linear third person narrative, similar to the last of us, or something that follows the Van der linde gang over time, from place to place. They ilude that they’ve been all over the United States. That would probably be seen as controversial because one of rdr’s best features is its open world, but red dead revolver wasn’t open world, so Idk. So many possibilities, however it could very much screw up the impact of these two redemption Games because what we have feels like a complete ark.

My personal wishes for a sequel: Scenario 1: Probably going back to the 1880s, during the last bit of the Indian Wars, encountering the Van Der Linde gang at one point from a different perspective and maybe being able to access Canada and Mexico. Scenario 2: Start a new story in late 19th century South America, roaming from the snowy Andes to the tropical Amazons. There so many stories to be told places to explore in that region of America. Scenario 3: The Australian Outback in 1910s-1920s, where Jack Marston flees from America to one of the last frontier regions in the world that are still somewhat wild as the old American West, especially after killing a well known government agent that he asked around for painting a target on him. Maybe from another person's POV local to Australia that helps Jack. Also be interesting seeing WWI veterans bring their trauma back home, possibly getting fueling more lawlessness. Scenario 4 and 5: Definitely stories of Sadie and Charles after RDR2.

With the current state of Rockstar, I wouldn’t be surprised if they make GTA VI, add GTA VI Multiplayer and then abandon the single player and focus on the multiplayer non stop

I've always liked stories that go back in time. It would be great if movie series, TV series and games made it a thing. It's interesting how a hero is seen, how he became one. And if we go even further back in time when he is still far from it and there are others before him. And not all heroes wear capes. I'm talking more about the main characters of the story.

I think a third game featuring Jack still trying to “make it” in a constantly modernizing world, would be quite amazing, especially if there’s some cars, and other technological advancements correct for the period. Moving up from the country into the city or something, a new kind of crime world with mafia type options, that kind of thing? I don’t know. Choose to live as a low level criminal or become the boss of a mob family, or rule the country holding on the old west roots Jack was brought up with? Definitely yes in and around 1910-1917. A reference to the titanic disaster would be interesting - think of Jack moving from out west to, say, an early 1910’s Liberty City. That would be an amazing game with a bit of a GTA crossover. So many options here.

I could see the ending being a cutscene of Jack sitting down at a table, grabbing a empty book and writing Red Dead Redemption on the cover. Just like the book in GTA.

Assuming we're sticking with Wild West and creating symmetry with RDR1 and RDR2, going to what took place before it, we'd be looking at a timeline where Arthur was young. We also cannot feature a character who is alive in RDR2... so Dutch and Hosea are out. IMHO: Lyle Morgan, Arthur's father, is the most logical candidate. We don't know much about him, other than Arthur hated him, he got arrested and executed for larceny in 1874... yet 2 decades later, Arthur still keeps his picture next to his bed, and... yes... wore the same silly hat that would eventually be given to John. There is A LOT more to that story that I think Rockstar would like to tell. So yep, my prediction - if they do RDR3, it will take place 1874, feature Lyle Morgan and tell the story of both him and Arthur's past, with Arthur becoming a playable character in an epilogue that takes place in maybe 1881. That, or they pick a character who they've never even hinted at existing, yet have him profoundly rolled up with young Arthur and John in the early days of Dutch's gang.

I really like the idea of continuing Jacks story. Him becoming an outlaw and in the end becoming a part of the civilized world, living in a city in his older days and write about the old times. Would love that.

RDR3 should absolutely have jack as the protagonist and have him meet up with characters like Sadie and Charles, potentially running into a few like Tilly and having encounters with them akin to John's in the epilogue. It should for sure end with him writing the book "Red Dead" we see in GTA V in Franklin's house, using John's and Arthur's Journals as anecdotes or even shaping his story based on the events they entail.

I Think A Character From Another Gang Would Be Dope During The Time Period Of 1897 - 1899 Where You See People From Van Der Linde Gang Roaming Around In The Towns And Doing Robberys And Having Someone From The Gang Telling You About What Just Happened in Blackwater Or Maybe The Protagonist Seeing The Massacre From His Own Eyes sitting On The Hill Place From Which You Examine Blackwater From In ch 2 Of Rdr 2 .

I used to be one of those play as Dutch forming the gang kind of person, but I kinda swapped more towards playing as Mac Callander. We would still see an earlier form of the gang, but Mac would be a better character to focus on because of his potential for a redemption story. They seemed to mention him a fair deal of times as if teasing him.

Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 held a special place in my gaming experience, but I personally believe that making another Redemption game about either continuing the story or making another prequel for the story would be unnecessary after the success of Red Dead Redemption 2. I think Redemption's story should better end there, but it would be quite interesting to undergo a new story, with new characters and a new place to explore in another time.

I think continuing on as Jack into the 1920s would be an interesting choice, sort of a bridge between Rockstar's 2 biggest franchises: post-RDR & proto-GTA; horses, but also cars. Six shooters, but also automatic weapons. I also like taking events immediately prior to the Blackwater Massacre, with Mac Calendar as the main protagonist. But Landon Ricketts was the most interesting character in RDR, to me. What if the Epilogue to Mac was Landon during the Massacre, and then into settling himself in Mexico? I know Ross Hagen is dead, but Landon Ricketts is one of the most intriguing characters in the franchise.

Red Dead Redemption must be of the western genre. Simple as that. It cannot continue beyond the timeline of the first RDR. It should be a totally new story set during the height of the American old west.

I always thought we'd be in a much more modern version of the places we knew like a more Industrial Blackwater. Cars, taller buildings, basically the Mafia. I thought either we played as the son/daughter of Jack Marston who found ourselves in a gang. Or we play as a male/female PC in a Mafia gang and down the line like we meet Jack Marston pointing a Colt at us. I'd like to see the world not only bigger but more layered. Enter more buildings and reach higher places. Maybe we could explore Mexico again or maybe go further North for new locations that the Mafia are stronger, wanting to seek influence bellow?

I have a few theories, Mac and davey were mentioned too much in rdr2 for them to be minor characters, I feel rockstar learned there lesson and are teasing rdr3 through these characters….. - few things they could do is have the morality system divided between these two as they are known hot heads, but one brother could be better than the other so the dialogue could change with these two and how npc would react Another theory is the black belle lady as I believe they had Arthur hat in her cabin meant to symbolize her as a new protagonist. And they could go in multiple directions with her story as well

Red dead 3 set before the events of rdr 2 you get to play as a younger arthur or/and dutch maybe even hosea. The game ends with us experiencing the havoc of the blackwater heist. After a huge time skip we get to play as jack marston in the epilogue. Thats how id want rdr 3

I'm positive that in the next game you'll play as Davey and Mac. RDR2 really felt like it set them up as the next protagonists. The end of the game would be the blackwater heist. Idk who we'd play as in the epilogue though.

Love what you said about the Exploration in RDR2 it really feels rewarding to find stuff as you need to go off the beaten path to find stuff. Some games like Elden Ring May not use map makers But finding Things felt really easy. I do like When games make things harder to find as feels Like I am actually exploring. Ubisoft games do not allow to miss anything so You never get a sense of discovery. I also agree With RDR3 having mixed feelings. I feel a New Story would be better. Of course they can Top the Open world as they always do but The story is the biggest factor. Dan Houser before leaving Rockstar said he would do another if he had a good story to tell.

I would love a young Landon Ricketts story. Call it Red Dead Revenge, and start fresh.

Personally I think a game where we play as a younger Rains Fall could be really interesting. The Red Dead games have always been more about changing times than about cowboys, and at many points the games intentionally parallel what’s happening with the gangs to what did happen to the native tribes. I think it could be a great place for a powerful story.

I've always had this idea in my head for a sequel involving Jack as the protagonist, especially after playing 2. It starts with a repeat of the final "mission" of RDR, with Jack hunting and killing Ross. Afterwards, he rides back to Beechers Hope with the intent of retirement from the bounty hunter business. He has enough money saved that he could live at Beechers comfortably for the rest of his life, maybe even try writing like he wanted as a child. A montage akin to the house building segment of RDR2 of Jack trying to live a normal life occurs, showing him doing chores, reading, and other thingss. Maybe a few weeks or even months pass. But then one day, he's ambushed by lawman in a sequence mirroring the ambush of John in his final mission of RDR. This is because, let's be honest, the law are not going to let the murder of Edgar Ross, one of their most decorated agents, just slide and Jack was not exactly subtle during his hunt for him nor in what his intent was. During the shoot out, all seems lost until another person joins the fight, helping Jack fend them off. As they flee, Jack points his gun at the stranger and demands answers, only for them to reveal themselves as an elderly Sadie Adler. She had returned to New Austin for some reason or another, heard about Jack killing Ross, and knew the law were going to try and kill him so decided she needed to help. The two then pack up a wagon with basics; camping equipment, rations, munitions, and such. Then flee, mirroring the movement of the camp in RDR2 but over the entire map. Mexico, New Austin, West Elizabeth, New Hanover, Ambarino, and Lemoyne. Over the course of the game, the two slowly pick up more wanderers from multiple backgrounds, maybe even running into some recognisable faces, building up their encampment and group. By the end of the game, a new gang has been formed, with Jack and Sade taking the place as Dutch and Hosea, bringing the games full circle and mirroring the transference of protagonist from the previous 2.

I believe the game should be played as Jack in the 1920s as a mobster. As you play through missions, Jack reads Arthur’s journal and sometimes during the game we get to go back in time and play as Arthur while Jack is reading the stories to us. It’s a perfect way to incorporate old missions like blackwater but still move the overall story forward in time. I like the idea of Jack leaving the lifestyle at the end and it being a happy ending symbolizing the sacrifice that John and Arthur and the rest of the gang made for Jack.

Maybe in RDR3 we will play as a young Edgar Ross and we will see things from his point of view and it’ll be the most inspiring, brave game anyone has ever played.

Why are we even talking about this right now? We are still 3 years away from GTA 6, and RDR 3 won't go into development until GTA 6 is finished. We're 10-12 years away from RDR 3.

I think that Red Dead 3 should be set in an alternate timeline in 1919 where Mexico accepts Germany’s request to invade the United States and jack finds himself in the middle of the war, and for the epilogue in 1921 jack finds the love of his life in Saint Denis and they live happily ever after ending with a cutscene of a mysterious man in a suit looking down at the ranch where jack and his wife live for the rest of their lives

I'd like to go more back in time and play as Otis Miller. Otis Miller was a lad that killed many a man and he robbed the Lanahechee train. RD3 Otis Miller the Legend of the west.

Here’s an idea for a red dead game. Instead of red dead redemption 3 have it be called red dead revenge. We play as Dutch as him and hosea start to build up the gang but the story mainly focuses on the relationship between Dutch and colm odriscoll and how they end up falling out and the struggle of revenge. Colm was the one who planned the death of annabelle but colms brother was the one who pulled the trigger which made Dutch kill him. The end can have it be where Dutch teaches Arthur that revenge is a fools game and he learns this when him and colm struggle to pull the trigger on one another but still hate each other. The epilogue we can play as Arthur during the events leading up to rdr2 like part 1 can be about meeting lenny, Micah and Charles and part 2 is the black water massacre. Red dead Revenge. Dutch’s grudge and journey for failed revenge against colm.

I want RDR3 to be Lyle Morgan's story and in the Epilogue we play as a young Arthur, could be in the epilogue we meet Dutch and Hosea, while the main story is Lyles and as is tradition he'll meet some tragic end that will push Arthur down his path. That or just brand new characters brand new gang, set it in the west from the Yukon all the way down to California, could be set during the gold rushes and you gotta deal with Mounties in Canada and Sherrifs/Marshalls in the US parts, hell add Mexico too it'll likely be late this gen or early next gen if it does happen so the map can be even bigger.

It'd be nice if they like some have said here in the comments, about how the gang came together, plus the "blackwater massacre" but you've made some good points on how RS shouldn't make another. I love this game to death and played it 4 times. I hope they make another western game.

Absolutely love this idea! I think yhis could work so well as long as they put the same effort and detail as rd1 and 2. But you left out one interesting question: What will they map be? The same as the other 2 games? Maybe it could be that aswell as a few new areas to go back and forth at any time? i would want to map to be as rich and rewarding as the other games. Finding guns and axes, even viking helmets around. They could add pirate things, perhaps things from ww1 as 1917 is closer to the end of it. And gases such as phosgene, chlorine and mustard had been used but not well understood. Im sure Rocstar would do an incredible job. I know id love a 3rd and everuone would. They just need to put so much effort to make a fresh game that people want to love. What if..now hear me out…Jacks in his rampage he gets into or starts his own gang and eventually gets a bounty on him and thats how sadie meets up with him again and helps him out and that makes sadie have another thought on all the people she is collecting bounties from and that makes her want to go back to being a family person because she knows that she did all the things same as the outlaws that shes turning in

I think the game should start with Jack coming home from WW1 only to find the growing City of Blackwater encroaching on his farm. They could even have a WW1 battle scene you have to complete before returning home.

Great Video! I personally feel Sadie would be the character with the most potential narrative to explore, certainly from a historical perspective. The early 20th Century obviously brought huge social changes for women in society, particularly in America and I think Sadie mixing with women inspired by those from that era, as she finds her own place in the world would be interesting . As some examples, the temperance and later Alcohol Prohibition movement of that era were heavily led by women, such as 'Carrie A. Nation' who would attack bars with an axe, hence her nickname 'Hatchet Granny'. WW1 led to a lot of women joining up with the workforce for the first time, in jobs such as factories to support the war effort, this heavily influenced women getting the right to vote . This is also the era that birthed the first world famous models and actresses, it would be interesting to see Rockstar's take on people such as Lillian Gish or Evelyn Nesbit. The world trying to work out what role women should have in it, while 'A' woman works out what role she has in the world has a lot of narrative potential I think. As a slight additional, and depressing idea, the game could 100% start with Jack Marston as the playable character for only the first few missions, dying at the hands of a regretful bounty hunter Sadie, that would inspire her own search for Redemption and allow us to do the character switch the series is becoming known for, albeit at the start of the game.

Please allow me to interject some logic into this discussion. I suspect that the third installment of Red Dead Redemption will be another prequel leading up to the events of the botched bank job at Blackwater, as Blackwater raises many questions which have yet to be answered. It simply doesn’t make sense to continue the story after the events of RDR1 for two simple reasons. Firstly, RDR1 provided the perfect ending to the story with no need to continue its telling, and secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the RDR franchise is a western and RDR1 occurs at the very tail end of the Wild West era of history (some might even argue that it’s time had already passed by 1911-1914). I suspect the story of RDR3 will be primarily focused on the genesis of the Van der Linde gang and how it all came together, as seen through the eyes and experiences of the main protagonist, Mac Calendar, who was spoken of several times, but never seen in RDR2, as he died right before the events of RDR2 (this is Rockstar’s way of planting seeds for the third installment - for those who were paying attention). If you recall the first mission of RDR2, Mac’s brother, Davey, dies as the gang is escaping into the Grizzlies West Mountains into Colter, thus he will be a prominent character in the game as well. I suspect the primary theme of RDR will also be repeated, as Mac will find “redemption” before his untimely death, which will lead to an epilogue played by his successor, Author Morgan. Rockstar has already set up another prequel so perfectly so I doubt they will fail to capitalize on the seeds they have undoubtedly and intentionally planted. I guess we’ll all find out in the year 2044, when Rockstar finally gets around to releasing this title.

I think a good setting for a RDR3 would be during the great depression. Jack Marston being a war hero but being left shell shocked after the Meuse-Argonne offensive. The setting could be just about anywhere but my first thought was Las Vegas. Maybe sprinkle in some Fallout New Vegas with Jack having settled down in Goodsprings and running it's small library. Cars, automatic weapons, and more modern things would exist but wouldn't be very common. Horses would likely still be a main form of transport (I was unable to check this because google was being stupid.) Larger amounts of semi automatic and bolt-action weapons would be available. Such as perhaps a mission involving Mexican arms would award a Mondragon M1908. Cars could still be found and used in Las Vegas but rarely if at all outside of it. I can't think of what the catalyst could be to make Jack get back into the outlaw life but perhaps he could strike at gangs that prey on those suffering or deliver alcohol. Just spitballing here but that's what I've always thought for a RDR3.

If I had it my way, we would play as Colm O'Driscolls younger brother caught up in feud between Colm and Dutch, same outcome as Colms brother dies you take over as Colm and kill Annabelle accidentally, it would showcase the moment Dutch's descent into madness takes place

I think a red dead spinoff where you play as a county sheriff or something bringing down local gangs would be really cool. Ik the games are supposed to be about outlaws but seeing it from the other perspective would be interesting and they could keep the honor dynamic with the player choosing to be an honest/dirty lawman and it would have a lot of potiential for free roam with random encounters with criminals and investigating crimes. I think it would be a great game if done right but I don’t think the red dead fan base would be for it, unless you got to play as Landon Ricketts maybe lol

I personally think Jack Marston’s story should be left up in the air. I know there’s a GTA Easter Egg that implies Jack became a writer, but there’s nothing canonical to Red Dead saying so. I like that Jack’s story is left in mystery, we’re left to wonder how Jack will reconcile with WWI and the more modern gangster if he continues a life of violence. For a third Red Dead I would love a Sadie Adler spinoff

Arthur was if John Wayne, Clint eastwood , and Butch cassidy/the Sundance kid were all spliced together and they threw in some Wyatt Earp and covered it all with doc Holiday . He was an instant favorite

I think a story about the Wild West colliding with more organized crime in say a 1920s setting sounds really interesting, could add a third part of the map with a giant city or just expand St. Denis + a mafia underworld. It wouldn’t necessarily have to be 100% historically accurate but it would be interesting to me, especially if we continue the theme of moving farther east

Author shoots bit further distance than that makes him better plus Author shoots down more people than anyone from gang. John becomes like Author in 1907 to 1911.

I can see this being a definite possibility for an RDR 3 for sure. Would it draw an audience? For sure. Would it keep the audience invested in the story? Without question. Would enough people want this? Possibly. Would Rockstar want to write it, and bring it to life? Remains to be seen. Especially if GTA 6 is now, and will remain to be their main focus for at least the next however many years until it’s release. For Red Dead Online the future unfortunately looks extremely bleak. So as consequence(through no fault of it’s own) the future for the series(whatever that future may be) as a whole looks bleak even more so. Everything(as it seems to be right now) is dependent upon GTA 6. As such(if the latest DLC for GTA 5 online is a sign of what’s to come) things look very dismal. To be honest: I would not be surprised in the slightest if GTA 6 turns out to be a flop. Crucify me verbally all you want(especially if what I just said turns out to be gospel because then all I can say is: I told you so). I know that given their track record thus far it downright sounds like blasphemy. But if it doesn’t turn out to be even remotely correct I’ll take the verbal chastisement without issue. I hate to be the one who is brutally honest, and tells everyone everything that they don’t want to hear. But someone has to. Otherwise everyone would be living in their own fantasy land, completely ignorant of the world collapsing around them until it’s too late. Sorry, but not sorry.
