🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

I honestly have to say this brought tears to my eyes. I left Cuba when I was 16 yet I feel 100% cuban. Took me back to my childhood summers spent in the countryside at my grandmas. I love how despite the political turmoil and the economic hardships, cubans always are so welcoming and resourceful, no matter how poor they are. I don’t think you could have captured any better the essence of being cuban from a culinary perspective. Oro, mi hermano, great personality, very transparent and down to earth. A+++

@@AD-lh3jk Yes, when we left Cuba 20 years ago, the cuban government hadn’t impose certain laws that don’t allow cubans to return for 7-8 years. I have been back many times and brought my daughters with me. As far as this government goes, it depends on the administration. I remember at one point you could only fly to Cuba from the States once every 3 years. People used to flight through a third country.

I like how Cuba feels modern yet vintage at the same time, I think that's one of the best things about the country. Some places will completely get rid of the old but Cuba preserves aspects of the various cultures/peoples that made the country what it is.

I’m saving this video to watch over and over again. This is one of THE best travel, foodie videos Ive ever watched! I grew up in East LA in a small city called Bell. It was a federal settlement of Cubans with children who arrived in the late 60’s. I Cherished my childhood memories (I’m now 58) of dance, laughter, and food from my new friends. I loved this video.... so many of the families I grew up with have memories that they will never see again. You brought the flavor of Cuba back. Thank you!!! I pray someday Cuba will once more be a shining jewel by the sea....

Great culture thanks for sharing. Cuba🇨🇺 seems so far but so close to us in the Philippines 🇵🇭. The lechon, cassava, banana, tobacco, kape, names, dialect and the tropical vibes. Growing up in the 70's I was helping my family plant tobacco, dry it, roll it make it a cigar. The coffee believe it or not almost the same technique. The tropical vibes in the countryside exactly the same. No wonder when USA saw us by the shores of Manila their jaw dropped. Seeing a Fort and a culture similar to Cuba in the other side of the globe in Asia. 😂🤣😂 The Trophy 🏆 prize to USA in Us. I'll be darn.
