Again, very challenging. If Bilaam acted out of hatred, rage tends to demand immediacy, is chaotic and ultimately vulnerable to making big mistakes. If he acted out of love, he would have had patience and endurance with him. Abraham/Bilaam disciple qualities of good/bad eye, humble/haughty spirit and moderate/limitless appetite is a serious challenge when considering the spirit of the inner place. Psalm 55:24's search for deceit is real, and continues, as its nature and hiding place are difficult to identify. Thank you Rabbi for the most challenging shiur that I have felt.

I find it hard to believe that משה speaking to the rock, or giving a shiur, would have made a difference. This is after the מרגלים, they made their choice
