I don't usually cry, but I was absolutely as broken as Momo to see her eliminated! I also wanted to quit watching kpop EVERMORE! But I waited to see the end of Sixteen and never regretted it! I cried even MORE when Momo Sana and Mina were reunited! What a surprise!

They are the two most popular members of Twice and one of the main reasons why Twice are so big in Japan and oversea in general

Had JYP not brought back Momo, I really don't think TWICE would be where it is today. They still would have made it,...but Momo brings such a dynamic. And it sounded like Sana wouldn't have stayed....and _that_ dynamic not being in TWICE would have been equally as bad.

No they wouldn't have made it so big. Definitely not that big in Japan, USA and Europe, all countries where Momo is either the most popular member or top 3. The thing is Momo and Tzuyu are Twice's biggest new stans' attractors. You can safetly say that without Tzuyu Twice wouldn't have made it in Korea and Taiwan so quickly, and without Momo there's no way Twice would have enjoyed that same success in Japan, USA and Europe.

Ehm sorry to disappoint you but no. Some members are more important than the others, it's normal in a team, it's the same in all professional sports too. You need both the superstar and the workhorse to win and be successful. Now Momo, Tzuyu, Nayeon, Jihyo and Sana in that respective order made Twice so successful worldwide. The others are nice additions to the team.

I gotta be honest and truthfully speaking. When I was a rookie Once back in February 2016 prior to Cheer Up era as I watched Sixteen according to my fangirl spirit that wanted to pick a bias, Momo was originally supposed to be my bias based on talent and Tzuyu was originally supposed to be my bias based on visual. Somehow, my fangirl spirit was telling me I didn't picked Momo as I knew that Momo was eliminated when MNET totally ruined my plan or I didn't choose Tzuyu at the end. Somehow throughout Sixteen show, I decided that I chose Mina because she's an introvert like me as we have in common, being homebody, love being in bed, watch movie at home, etc. In conclusion, I just don't understand myself in the beginning why my fangirl spirit chose the rightful bias like Mina, not Momo or Tzuyu and sometimes I feel like saying 'I guess I didn't choose Mina by mistake.'

Don't fool yourselves, Momo and Tsuyu were selected at the end just for the popularity they had already at that time, specially overseas. Any of the other girls were (and still are) capable of performed at the same level but even though they were at some level, also kinda popular, never at the levels of Tsuyu and Momo. Now is easy to say: «Twice wouldn't be the same without Momo (and/or Tsuyu)» because that's the lineup that all of us knows of Twice, but at the end, is a supposition as also is, thinking on different members and how would it be with them. PS. Being a star, of any style or genre of music, isn't easy but if you are Japanese, and your name is Momo, then you have more possibilities of success in the end, even if you're eliminated early, you know why? -Momo Hirai, eliminated early from «Sixteen»: selected anyway as one of the members of Twice. -Momo Okazaki, eliminated early from «Planet Girls 999»: selected as official member of kawaii metal band, Babymetal.

It wasn't JYP or judge that eliminated her, it was the fans vote. Of course its hard to imagine now, but back then, they weren't nearly as popular. JYP brought her back in the team in the final episode, a decision that wasn't very popular with the fans as they expressed their frustrations: show was rigged, what was the point of voting then etc. But JYP saw her potential and decided to stick to his decision. Looking back, these fans are grateful now, as Momo eventually won over them. Tzuyu was also eliminated but she, on the other hand was the most popular amongst the fans, so JYP recognized that she could be the visual and brought her back as well. Hence 7 members became 9 as shown in the video.
