Agree, it isn't about how many people you have shown as friends on social media, where it seems to be a competition...it is the number of people you could call at 3am when something has gone seriously wrong and you could count on them to come to your assistance...I have 4 or 5 people like that, they are real friends and they could call me at 3am and I would be on the way!

As someone else who was bullied intensely throughout my entire school life, specifically middle school. I know that term is really generic but I personally believe that God gives some of us certain gifts. I still remember the apartment I lived in as a 3yo. My mom thinks I had an imaginary playmate but thinks it was more. I even remember my Kindergarten teacher, the room, playing dodge ball, a game that should be outlawed! I was pretty much invisible, a dark eyed, dark haired and what seemed too much hair on my arms while my brother was cherub-faced blue eyed and fair hair that got the attention even while I stood right beside him as the lady behind the register fussed over him, giving him candy. My hand was clasped around the stroller handle and I know I looked down at my shoes, my dress, my mother's camel coat as I needed to make sure I was still there! A former classmate in Jr high had posed a question on Facebook about memories and wrote at great length as I am now and suddenly, the invisible girl had a whole lot of people coming by my page as though they wondered, "Who is that?" as their memories were jarred to things they had forgotten. I just opened the lid. Earlier I was texting with my son when he shared a message with me of someone who asked if he'd ever lived in Orlando, telling him I was her supervisor at Ticketmaster, not sure I'd remember her. At this point, miss, what do you think? Correct! I'm sorry for writing so much but sometimes, Spirit moves me to do so. I'd noticed you were wiping tears away. I know it isn't easy being a teen, especially with people hiding behind a computer, a cell phone and even the "icon" of an anime character. I wish I could just throw my anxiety away and talk to people to make good friends

coming from someone who had literally no friends in high school and still doesnt have any in college (i hate people who are like "i dont have any friends.. only like 3" like ok) its just really upsetting to not have someone. Fortunately I have a boyfriend now and he is my best friend so im okay, but until i met him i just thought something was wrong with me. i still do sometimes because i do everything in my power to make friends and still dont make any. when i hung out with my bf and his friends (they all live in a different state) i just felt so happy and was like, wow, this is what its like to have friends. all they were doing was playing soccer but it just felt nice to be with people for a change. idk i guess you just wont get it unless youve been there. it's different for everyone.

Jennifa Loranz I did school online! I returned for a semester in junior year and quickly went back to doing it online because it wasn’t working out friends wise. I’m glad I had the privilege of doing school online, but it definitely didn’t help me make any new friends. At least I was comfortable at home and made friends through video games and fandoms

@@blazereho811 don't try so hard to make friends, just keep studying, enjoy time with your boyfriend and socialising with his friends when you get the chance and just relax. Do things that interest you and be yourself eventually you will find a friend or more and it will happen naturally.
