Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left January 10, 2016. We started this KZfaq channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

I’ve been a silent watcher since back in the days of your Tokyo travels, where you guys only had at most, 2k views, and were staying at creepy hotel capsule to save up money. But look at where you are now, having at least 100k viewers, staying at the best hotels, and still as humble as you guys first posted a video. Keep it up guys, I’ll always be watching every single one of your videos and Ig stories!

I've always known how much work and dedication goes into these vlogs. By Nate, for getting all the gorgeous footage and choosing all the locations we'll eventually get to see, and Kara, for getting it all put together in these wonderfully fun, informative and entertaining vlogs we enjoy regularly. It's never lost on me the time you spend on making great content for us. Thank you for all the hard work you do in bringing the world to us. Many of us may never get to see these places in person, so you are providing a wonderful service to these people. I'm so glad that you get to enjoy yourselves as a perk of what you do. Somebody needs to make a montage of Kara's food reviews using no words...just the expressions on her face. Seriously there's a whole language in there. You can tell if it's just ok (with a polite twist) , ewww spit it out, pretty good, love it, emaciated love it, and orgasmic. All with no words, I love it. Btw I'm still catching up. I have to say that this video makes me a tiny bit sad and it's totally personal in nature. For the past 5 weeks my husband and I have binge watched your videos from the very beginning and love you guys! Now that we have caught up I'm sad that our marathon has ended but we are looking forward to your next adventure! You have inspired us to visit places that we never considered before. Guys, I can't tell you how much I love your videos!! Well, actually I can. I have NEVER posted to KZfaq before in my life - until now. In the past I have not really been interested in travel... but that has totally changed since I found your channel. And Kara, I don't know if you went to school to learn editing, but you do such a FANTASTIC JOB with them! Each one not only tells a wonderful story of your travels, but it so visually appealing! Talking about your first trip to Bangkok prompted me to go back and watch the first couple of videos when you guys arrived in Tokyo. It's so much fun to see how 'green' you were back then compared to now, snacking on random street food compared to snacking out of a 7:11. Thank you for putting in the effort to edit the videos, so that the rest of us can travel with you vicariously.😃

I've often wondered how all of this is done. Thanks for showing the perseverance and commitment it takes to bring us these video moments. Sticking with a passion can oftentimes seem like it doesn't pay off--but I guess it's always worthwhile to look back at where you came from so you can appreciate where you are now.

I like that even with the number of hours of work that you do, the smiles on your faces do not reflect that. And your positivity is infectious. I first watched a video from your channel a few months ago - the Trans Siberian railway videos. And then, just today, i happen to watch your video on the Shorty Awards and then this. We went to the Kao soi place a few days after you posted your insta story about it. We LOVED it and went multiple times while staying nearby in Bangkok. Now we are back in Canada so it is so fun to see the place on the video! Thanks for sharing!

Then I ended up starting my nurse training & had my daughter half way through (a surprise, but the best surprise) so I’m living my travel dreams through you two! Keep up the good work. Congrats on the Shorty Award!!!! YAY!!!!!! I love the little clips you're putting in at the end of your videos. Love that! Stay safe you two because we needs LOTS more videos! :) OH! I just returned from my second trip to Cuba and was just wondering if Havana is on your radar. You would LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Like stepping back in the 1960s in many respects. Internet, however, is sketchy and you'd have to edit outside in a park (or edit after leaving) where there are hot spots but I've heard it's fast. I had internet in my airbnb apt but it was very very slow. My 5th floor 2 bedroom with aircon (and an elevator) was $45 a night and one block from the Malecon! Easy walk to Old Havana! Can't beat it!
