Hi! Amsterdam local here. On your way to Febo, you passed Restaurant Kam Yin.. You could have had a proper meal for under a tenner, instead of the bite of air Febo calls a burger. They do have fairly decent fries though. They are sold at the counter freshly fried. Also the prices for a pre-roll in the city center are a complete rip-off. Start your day just outside the centre (our city isn't that big) and you can buy them for prices ranging from 3.50 to 4.50. And yes, same is truefor stroofwafels, so much better and cheaper to have a fresh one at a market. Good to see you still enjoyed Amsterdam after having to pay those prices.

Yes you found the tourist traps. you could have had a huge normal stroopwafel for the same price, The Dutch trick is..buy the supermarket ones..put them on top of the cup of your hot drink or couple of seconds in microwave..and you have your fresh ones 10 for about 2 euro's. than your burger for four euro..sinds with my tip you saved 1.50 euro for under 5,- you could have bought many nicer things huge blt bun loaded with bacon, or lamachun(turkish pizza) tomato meat spice base rolled up with fresh vegies garlic sauce and hot sauce.. or go to HEMA for a fix of bun with about 125 gr smoked sausage with mustard for 3.65. and buy a fresh tompouce 0.95 at the bakery of HEMA. tompouce is two layers of puffpastry with custard in between and pink glaze on top...so two fixes for under 5 euro

I don't know who told you that Van Wonderen is the original stroopwafel place, but they're not. You can get the best ones for 2.50 at Albert Cuyp Markt. And the orange juice seemed more expensive because of the recycling fare. If you return that plastic bottle to an Albert Heijn for recycling you'll get your 25 cents back.

In Amsterdam everything is much more expensive then the rest of the Netherlands, it said 1.59 for the juice but you pay 0.10 cents extra for the bottle if u return the bottle u get money back same goes for Coca Cola bottles etc. , coffeeshops are also way cheaper outside of Amsterdam I would recommend getting somewhere else and then smoke that in Amsterdam

The orange juice was the correct price. There is a return policy on the bottle. 10 to 15 cents. If you return it empty

the Van wonderen stroopwafels are deff a tourist trap/scam also the orange juice is 1,59 but i the netherlands we have bottle and can deposits so normally when you have saved up a few bottles you can turn them in at any supermarket and you get a receipt with the amount you payed for the deposit
