I hope someone else posts their salary information too! I saw no one else has! I am a consultant in zero waste consulting, I started as a recycling coordinator, and that salary is about $65k/year, I then became a project manager two years later and went all the way up to $80k/year, and now I'm currently a director of projects, at $90k/year. I'm based in Orange County, California, Ive been with the company for almost 6 years. Most of our clients are cities/municipalities, and not many corporate clients. That client base affects profit margins. We are a small consulting firm. Hope this helps someone out there! Thanks Tyanna!

This video was really helpful and cool! I was wondering how much data analysis you do in your job or in your past sustainability consulting job. I'm an Environmental Science major, but I'm thinking about minoring in Statistics/Data Science

Hi Devon, I’d say data analysis is really prevalent for sustainability. Being able to take a company’s metrics and figuring out what it all means helps to drive strategy. It will definitely serve you more than not. Hope this helps!

Hi Tyanna, thank you for the insightful video!! Anyway, do you recommend getting the GRI Certified Sustainability Professional for someone that wants to pursue career in sustainability?

Hi there great question. I’ve seen people get this certification only if they’re reporting using GRI. So if you’re trying to do that then I’d say why not but it’s not necessarily needed.
