What a lot of these pundits miss is that our league results have been mediocre for 2 full seasons now. We almost got relegated last season, and nobody would have criticised the board for sacking Moyes at the halfway point when we were again in 17th place. Moyes did brilliantly from 20-22, and we probably would have got to the Europa League final if Cresswell didn't get sent off. But it's been mostly downhill since then. Even the Conference League win itself isn't as impressive as people make out. Any decent manager would have won that competition, given the teams we played against.

@@enod9746 Oh absolutely yeah. It's probably the best thing to happen to the club in my whole life. I will always associate Moyes with that moment. But in terms of it reflecting his skill as a manager, I just don't think it carries as much weight as a lot of pundits do. It obviously does carry some though.

I hate these so called experts. 3 points isn’t enough we want fancy passing football. It’s got to be stylish. Not it at all. Being at West Ham is winning games by anyway you can. Moyes was setting up to counter with a team that can’t defend and leaked goals. Refused to change when change is needed. Yes we are grateful to him but his style of play isn’t boring it’s innefectve!

All these pundits saying we shouldn’t sack Moyes yet we barely escaped relegation last season and this season we conceded 70 goals with a so called low block and a defensive system

Don’t think the “bald”pundit has watched anything more than afew WHU matches cause his attitude/response is off the mark regarding Moyes time or what fans for 2yrs had to watch…it was horrible watching the lack of style,desire,effort,lack of player/youth involvement or ridged inclusion of out of form players,one tactic for every team! Moyes was a very good manager that did his job but WHU board should have handled this entire situation better…way way better!

C'mon he's won 3 games in the last 4 months with some of the best players in the league. He was what we needed 2 years ago but he's completely lost the squad now.

Yeh he did spend a lot of money didn't he?... Then when he was told that he couldn't have even more money to throw at it due to FFP and to get the current squad playing better instead... He walked out, cue Gary O'Neil. Also Cunha, Sarabia and Toti certainly do not carry Wolves, that's just incorrect.

Honestly I think most of these pundits are relieved we got rid of moyes. They must know what a terrible state we've been left in. If moyes genuinely stayed we'd have a squad revolt and go down, it would be sunderland all over again... and they would have egg on their face. Now they are just sitting there waiting for lopetegui to struggle with this grim legacy so they can gloat. Still... I don't think they'll get what they want! Optimistic for next year despite the challenges! COYI!

What bad treatment? Moyes himself said that he would make a decision on whether or not he was going to sign a new contract at the END of the season. What was the club supposed to do - wait until June until they looked for his replacement. We are grateful for what Moyes has done but it is time to move on

WH fans don’t expect attractive attacking football every week, they’re not deluded - they understand that you have to play differently - what they don’t want is low block, unattractive football every single week - there is a big difference
