This isn't just a white culture issue. Black culture (I'm black) is full of it too. I feel that if we address this topic, we need to make it clear that this evil is an issue in all cultures of the world. Obviously racism shouldn't be a Christian issue at all, since this is a cultural problem..."Do not love the world or the things in it....." No saint should be living according to cultural rules.

I like the way you put it. This sin is a universal sin. And the statement, "No Christian should be living according to cultural rules." If you don't mind, let me add 2 Cor 5:16, we should regard no one according to self. In addition, with all humility, if you have time,, go to my channel and check my series on Prejudice. May be we will agree more on this gospel perspective and gospel solution to the problem. God bless!

Experience tells me that behind all racial prejudice is the lack of forgiveness. When a person feels he has been wronged and has not forgiven the person for not hurting him since we each make our own lives; we are not victims. We get the life we have by asking for it and receive what we asked for. We are all masters of our fate. In that attitude of being a victim, we associate other people who look like the perpetrator as also being guilty. Anger comes up for those similar people. "Judge not by appearance, but judge by righteous judgment." As Monique says, we are all of the same family of God, no appearances are part of that. We are spirit, created in the likeness of God. Repentance does bring us back to remembering that.

I think you hit this spot on! Well done brother! So now how do we get this info into the homes that are teaching their kids to view the world this way, while also professing Christianity? That’s the work we need to look at now. Because none of this started with the kids now perpetuating this. It started with their parents. I wish Pastors would speak on this in the local churches. A how-to walk in unity, even with tribes, and holding a grudge against an appearance. 🤔

@@jaquirox6579 Responsibility for your own life starts now, regardless what has happened before. The only way to truly teach is by modeling the right thinking. If others are interested, then you can go on to another step and explain it. If not now, then later because living without truth and without responsibility will always bring unhappiness. Unfortunately people have learned to live with a lot of pain and discomfort, but have faith they will come to the point of thinking, " There must be a better way." Then they will "Ask and you will receive" ..asking God will always take us in the right direction.

So so good! Thank you for speaking truth!! We as believers in Christ are all brothers and sisters, a family. Our sin is just that, ours. When we sin, we individually need to confess it and to ask for forgiveness. God is the one who does the work of cleaning out all the bad stuff, so we can walk in unity with our fellow brothers and sisters!! Unfortunately, those who are not believers, are incapable of seeing this truth. We need to pray that God would lift the scales from their eyes and be saved. ❤️

I totally get their points of view, but it bothers me that neither of them mention justice in how to deal with a legitimate racist in church. Monique mentioned bringing it up to leadership if they are unrepetant, but a problem a lot of minorities are facing is leadership not taking them seriously, or thinking its not worthy of their time or effort. What do you have to do when no one in the church will listen??? Not trying to start anything, trying to find legitimate advice to give to people if they bring this up with me.

If anyone who names the name of Christ is racist then I would say without any doubt at all they haven't had a revelation of Jesus Christ thereby becoming saved and following Him. So many folk who profess to be saved aren't and this has come to be because of preachers who tell folks to simply pray the prayer and they're saved. Only a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ given by the Holy Spirit enabling salvation to occur is true. And if a person hasnt experienced this then they aren't saved so can be racist, but I do not believe that any truly saved soul can possibly be racist as they would be unable to walk with God.

I am an African American man who is Christian. I believe in unity, Psalm 133. But unity has to be based in truth. I don't blame current white conservatives, including evangelicals, for slavery, jim crow, lynching, etc. But I DO have a problem with white evangelicals whitewashing, omitting parts of, or even lying about the aforementioned. While I don't subscribe to CRT, I also don't like conservatives using CRT as a cover to minimize our racial past, including the church's racial past, as some states are trying. As Christians, we are to bear one other's burdens. What affects one part of the body should affect us all. So if, for example, an unarmed black man is unjustifiably killed by a police officer (most police officers are good cops), and our community is hurting, we should hear words of encouragement from our white brothers and sisters, not condemnation of the victim or the community that we have often heard. It's bad enough being marginalized by the larger culture. It's even worse when we feel marginalized by those who are supposed to be our Christian brothers and sisters. It's one thing to quote Galatians 3:28, it's another thing to live it.

This is why the concept of home churches or smaller churches needs to become more popularized again. That is how churches used to be, but it was discouraged by the Roman Catholic tradition, and never re-introduced in any major way. The current structure of church (go, sit in a seat, sing a couple songs, listen absently to one person speak while also either trying to keep your kids quite or sending them off entirely to Sunday school or children's church just is not conducive to studying together in the Lord. Home churches solve pretty much all those problems, eliminates any excessive Costs associated with owning or renting a meeting space, and creates a structure wherein each member is more able and more responsible to contribute to the Church.

The enemy of our souls always wants to steal, kill and destroy our Father's creations...which is those who are called by Him- the true Church that Christ died for. The enemy knows his time is very short; therefore, He is pulling out all the stops and using His minions all over this sin-sick world. God is going to do away with all evil and the reprobate perpetrators of evil. He will make ALL things new- and there will be NO sin or brokenness. Praise HIS NAME!!!

Monique says that if you have prejudice in your heart, you need to repent and be inspecting our own hearts continuously for prejudice. But this assumes that we are the best judge of our own sinfulness. Even if we're praying that God would reveal our sin, we don't always listen. Biblically, it's often the voices of others who serve as our conviction. So if we want to know if we're being a racist neighbor, shouldn't we talk to our neighbor and ask them what kind of neighbor they feel we're being? Isn't that the point of listening to black voices, etc.?

I hear this. I really do but it has prompted me to think about how Israel was throughout scripture either being removed from Israel or being relocated back into their land as a result of the benevolence of whichever king was in charge and how the various Israelite leaders worked so hard to restore the material possessions, laws/customs and land that had been stolen, displaced or destroyed so I am not sure if I am convinced that reconciliation or reparations are off the table completely in this day and age for the Christian. Especially because with the Israelites alot of their mistreatment from nations had alot to do with xenophobia and other forms of prejudice. There is a lot of justice in the bible even between believers in the NT where we saw a complaint that widows were not being treated fairly in church giving programs. Its just an area that needs more study for me before I can just take it at face value.

However here our life is over in a blink of an eye, eternity is forever and ever. So much better knowing we can spend all eternity in Heaven; no more cancer, no more murder, no more pain. Luke 3:23 also informs us that John baptized Jesus when this one was about 30 years old, said baptism found recorded in Luke 3:21, 22. Considering all these historical facts we have to ask: [1] John is God's relative who is six months older than Him? [2] Why did God need to be baptized? [3] John saw God come down in the form of a bird and sit down on top of God's head? [4] Both John and God heard God saying to God, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased?

There are those in this world who are dark skinned and they call themselves black, yet they are not fully black for they are biracial or biethnic, because their father is black but their mother is white, in this ,they are biracial or biethnic, yet they do not acknowledge their White Side ,and in this, they are racist, if you have a black father and a white mother and you do not acknowledge your Whiteside, then you disrespect your mother, or vice versa ,if the mother is black and the father is white , to be fully black is to be full blooded black, and if you are not full blooded then you are biracial or biethnic, so do not be a racist and disregard your white side for you show disrespect to your father and mother, as it is written , honour your father and mother, For those who are biracial or biethnicity, then rejoice to The Heights of Heaven, because are you not a living being of reconciliation,

God promised Adam and Eve, “As for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.” (Genesis 2:17) In turn Satan disaffirmed, “YOU positively will not die.” (Genesis 3:4) Who do you believe? Jehovah God or Satan? Are Adam and Eve dead or alive?

I think Christians are over trivializing CRT... I'm a Christian, quite orthodox, and I'm also a neo Marxist to some degree and can throw a ton of other political and anthropological labels onto myself to illustrate my positions on anymore of different issues... So as you may imagine I spend a lot of time following these things and especially following the public discourse sounding these issues. As a pretty stout leftist, I can say that I don't particularly care that much about CRT and many of my leftist friends will say the same. We don't really hold it up as dogma. We find it a good discussion but theres a ton of nuance that we have surrounding it and many other race theories that we are constantly having within what many of you would call the extreme left. And I'd also like to point out that leftism is a very old tradition of attempting to best organize communities to serve everybody in the best way possible that prioritizes collective health and wealth over individual health and wealth. It's actually a pretty intuitive way of looking at communities of people you actually care about... Like families, churches, small towns ect... It's not much more complex than that. And Marxist is simply a long forum critque of capitalism and capitalist marketplaces.... It's not actually a form of governance... It's more of a way of thinking about economics. Like a bias. As a neo-marxist, my bias is that capital lead production by default brings out the worst in humans, and that it's as unsustainable as is human greed.... So we believe that markets should be democratically organized... Essentially... And thus will lead to a more productive more creative more flourishing and free society. I also happen to be a social libertarian so I believe that adult people should have the freedom to do what they want legally with humanitarian regulations.... this includes all drugs, prostitution, weapons, same sex unions and any other type of unions ect... I'm also against all forms of warcare and militarizrd policing. And am totally against prisons and death penalties. 1Now here me out Now, I'm not a "progressive" Christian. I believe in sin and death and God's perfect justice... I believe that humanity is sinful and is long overdue for judgement apart from the grace of Christ's sacrifice for us. At the same time I'm not at all interested in establishing an iron fist Christan theocracy because Christ clearly on many occasions conveyed that he wasn't interested in establishing an empire on the earth as it stands right now. And so we're called to do 2 basic things, spread the gospel and love each other and God. So my ideas on politics and so on are, admittedly, entirelly intellectual. Let me expound.... I know we live in a secular world and it will be that way until Christ returns. So in the meantime I'm very interested in working towards a world where people are able to live healthy prosperous IN COMMUNITY with each other a even if we have a million different things in common. Why? Because I want to see God's creation prosper even if I cannot control ever little thing everyone does, at the very least I want people to be living in Harmony ... This will make it easier to my job of spreading the gospel. And actually many studies show that legalization of black markets actually significantly reduces the use and casualty rates around use and transactions and sales... This has been proven to happen around the world with many different black markets. So ironically by legalizing evil things and regulating them, you actually do more to solve the issue at hand as well as signficantly decrease the trauma and tragedy surrounding the dangerous of black markets sales. Ok I'm rambling now. Essentially I said all of this to say that you're over trivializing CRT. And Im actually not going to say CRT anymore because I could care less about CRT really. The general true leftist unferstsnding of western racism is that it was founded due to western expansion in which Europe ran out of real estate and felt that it needed to expand around the globe to continue empire expansion and resource aquisitions..... And it did so by getting near free labor to maximize on production and outcome by taking African and native north and south American slaves and working them into the ground. Centuries of doing this of course effected the psyche of generations and generations of everyone involve... Most notably it's a natural human response to philosophically dehumanize people that you're exploiting and abusing for personal gain. And essentially this is what Europeans did for centuries to morally justify for themselves before God that what they were doing was not as it appears. I think we can all agree on this btw because it doesn't seek to by default demonize white people and also doesn't let them off the hook. Now the argument leftists make is that it's naive to think that a few years of a civil rights movement and decades of white people warming up to black people and integrating will reverse both the deeply ingrained systematic and psychological prejudices that still exist to this day. In fact it's honestly not fair to white people to expect that best 2 generations of not being overly racist will wipe everything clean. And it's unfair to black people to expect that we act as though this has happened. For example, I'm 28, my great grandmother just passed 3 years ago.... Her mother was slave up until her teens right before she had my great grandmothers older siblings ... So I'm quite literally only 4 generations away from slavery and my parents are 2-3.... That's insane. My great grandmother grew up on a share cropping farm. And I grew up with her, she would baby sit us and read scripture and pray with me and my brothers ect.... So for millions of black or our roots go back just a couple generations to legalized southern slavery which means what? It means we all literally just start playing the game less than a century ago... No money, no property, no legacy, no education, nothing ... I mean for goodness sakes my name is Scott lol which was most likely the last name of my great great grandparents slave master. Considering this, even if say all systematically racist policy have been irradiated from our country, you have to take into consideration that we are like 10 laps behind everybody else including immigrants whom at least come to the country with some money .... Not to that black people couldnt legally do anything around white people up until the 60s... My parents were born in the late 60s, I'm only 28 mind you. One generation away from segregation. So yes maybe we've seen good progress, but we still suffer from systematic remnance.... And as a Marxist and leftist I can speak to this issue in a way that many liberals cannot and whom actually do a disservice to left activism because they only want social justice without systematic and economic justice. I think the right is correct when they say generally there's not really any overt racist policy in more ... But we have extremely classist policy that negatively effects poor and working class people and has been sense Regan/Nixon when there was capture of feds by the corporate oligarchy. And these classist policy effects everybody.... Whites, blacks, Latin, Asians ect.... Anyone whom is not in the ownership class is a second class citizen. And of course black people whom already were behind the 8 ball so much as I mentioned before are the most negatively effected by predatory capitalistic policy and schemes. And that's why we say systematic racism. Yeah maybe we don't have a law that says shoot all black people at traffic stops .... But we have policy that over militarized poor communities whom happen to be primarily black. We may not have a law that says don't allow black to get funding for schools, but we have a policy that awards education funding based on tax income in the town, and black people already started out poor by default ... So it systematically deprioirtizes black communities even if it's unintended. That's why to me a class critique is so important. I tend to disagree with some liberals who just want to demonize all conservative white people. I'm much more interested in cross cultural and racial class coalitions because we have a lot more in common than we think

Because "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one," Satan the Devil, true justice will come only from Jehovah God by way of his Kingdom. (1 John 5:19) As the divinely appointed King of God's Kingdom Christ Jesus "will judge the lowly with fairness, And with uprightness he will give reproof in behalf of the meek ones of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth And put the wicked to death with the breath of his lips." - Isaiah 11:4

While I can appreciate the discussions, instead of all the deep analysis, conversations, books, papers, reports, movements, etc., can't we all just simplify things by following the Golden Rule? Racism, along with many many other things, like antisemitism, adultery, murder, lying, stealing, idolatry, condemnation, etc., are all just a symptom of a bigger disease called sin. If you don't treat the root problem, sin, all the analysis and talks aren't really going to accomplish anything.

True these two ladies are really trying to get Christians to examine themselves in faith-following who God says we are developing Christ-like character which eliminates racism. Because trying to find true justice in a system run by the devil is oxymoronic we can try like MLK who was a Rev under Christ. But true Justice is in Christ alone-The Day of The LORD. That is why we-Christians should put our primary focus on The Great Commission which is what we are called to do. 1 Corinthians 15 👑 1 John 5:19😈

I agree that it should boil down to Love thy neighbor. Sadly, outside of Christ, it often doesn’t. I’m glad they go deeper, for those who need it. Thankfully, in Christ, many already reflect that virtue. And where we don’t, maybe these reminders are good, for self-analysis.

Alisa and Monique if Biblically speaking we are all children of God why you make the division between I am a Christian vs a child of God? You say "We are family if you are in Christ. If you are a follower of Jesus we are family" We have a kind of tribal kind of loyalty here again. The New Testament idea that you are either in Christ or outside is a sinful way of thinking because is a relative political act. It has nothing to do with love in the sense Jesus taught about it in the Sermon on the Mount of having fellowship with God. To have fellowship with Christ is to think as he does. When you think as Christ does you see everybody in Christ even your "enemies" or people who do not follow your definition of Christianity. I think we should as Christians approach racial reconciliation not only by loving our fellow Christians but loving non Christians as well because God loves them. If you only love your friends even the racists do as much. You love your enemy shows that you have fellowship with Christ and how people are going to actually live here in unity. Good day.

With the code of conduct he supplied his loyal ones, Christ drew a bright line and then announced that absolutely everyone on the other side is not a Christian. So wholly devoted to this code would these be that all non-Christian world-views/conduct would be effortlessly recognized. (Malachi 3:18 cf. Titus 1:16) These preach the gospel, and if necessary, use words. Meaning that, just as we can distinguish genuine legal tender apart from Monopoly money, any sincere person can assess the actions of any individual or group to differentiate between Christians and an Anti-Christians (Satanists).

The Bible says that black slaves should serve their non-black masters to the best of their ability, and never complain. Now, the modern Christian interpretation ignores the old testament, and pretends that their God is not a racist. Yahweh promoted slavery. That's because the Hebrews, who invented Yahweh, had many slaves, and saw nothing wrong with owning humans.

Find me a Bible verse that says “black slaves should serve their non-black masters to the best of their ability, and never complain”, whether explicitly or implicitly. Like, race, as we know it modernly, wasn’t even a thing until the 15th century or so. Also, slavery in ancient Israel was not about owning people, and God is against that, if you’ve actually read and studied the Bible.

Given that a slave is "someone who is legally owned by another person and is forced to work for that person without pay," referring to the labor system used by the ancient Israelites as slavery is unscrupulous, dishonest. After all, what system of slavery allows for factotums to amass wealth? (Leviticus 25:49, 53)
