It's nothing wrong with being latino. Latino derivates from the Latin word latinus which designates the founder people of the roman republic and the roman empire. Stop being so ignorant and desinformed. Try to be informed and not opinionated. You probably associate "latino" With Latin America like many people thanks to Hollywood. The reason it is called Latin America is because it was colonized by Latin European countries(Portugal, Spain and France) which held one of the greatest empires in history just like their predecessors the Romans. Countries with mother tounges derived from Latin, the language of the Romans and of the Vatican. Prominent and prestigious western european countries. If someone called me a latin or a latino i would be proud.

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry for another late upload; hopefully we can get more consistent with postings soon. I hope you enjoyed this one - the quality isn't as good as the ones I get to film in Toronto with the crew (as this one was filmed in Portugal with the local videographer). Hopefully the content makes it worthwhile. I tried to focus on just Eastern Europe, but realized it wouldn't be a fun video without Central Europe. Having said that, there are definitely countries missing that I will focus on in the future, such as the Baltics. What regions would you want to see next?

@CNFrostXY
@CNFrostXY 3 жыл бұрын
It's really just a slavic dish, that possibly came from China through the Mongols. In Ukraine and Russia it's called 'vareniki', and is considered a national dish in Ukraine. In my experience the polish ones tend to have thicker dough, and in Ukraine there are more varieties such as strawberry etc. ones, otherwise there isn't a difference. There are several other dumplings in Russia and Ukraine such as pirozhki, pelmeni, which are basically simpler versions of Chinese dumplings, served with sour cream rather than vinegar.

According to Wikipedia Belarusians and Lithuanians drink 15 litres of pure alcohol a year per capita. The second place belongs to Czechia and South Korea with 14 litres. Czechs drink a lot of alcoholic beverages, but majority of them is low volume beer which results in lower total alcohol consumption. Poland is way down below France at 11 litres. Czechia is frequently quoted as the champ mostly because they made it into their national pride. Belarus on the other hand is always greyed out because their tyrant president is scarred of polls

The division by the caucasus is an outdated and non-scientific division). The 'west/east/central' division has always been cultural, not geographical. I don't understand why some people are so upset because of our Central European identity. You may call us what you want in your culture and language but it doesn't change the fact that we have the right to identify as whatever the hell we want. It is OUR point of view and OUR identity, not yours. And some of us choose to identify as Central European. So what? Deal with it. Your vision of Europe is not the only one out there and frankly we don't care what feels correct for you. Also, it takes a little bit of knowledge about the history and culture of our region to understand all those fine differences that lay at the base of our ethnic identities. Central and Eastern Europe is not a monolith like so many Westerners view it to be (mostly due to their ignorance about the subject). I personally identify as Polish, Western Slavic, Central European. You may call me Eastern European if you want although, due to our recent history, it would be a social blunder in my opinion. So please calm down, open your mind a bit to a different point of view and have some respect for us in the comment section.

5:02- When I was for the first time in Poland, in Krakow, as a romanian used with the latin, romantic language, I heard spoken a fast russian, with snakes words that tells you to shut up: "shht" and I was contraried that czech and slovak people don't understand it. The written language is full of characters the other nations don't use (k, q, z, y, w), which are all pronounced as "ș" (romanian "sh") or "j". But I learned very fast the pronounciation and in the second day in the camp where we were hosted (near Zamek Korzkiew castle - 13 km by Krowodrza Gorka, in Krakow), I was reading erotic / porn poems (without understanding the meaning, just pronounciating correctly) to a 19 years old Polish girl. She was really impressed. ;) After that, when they wanted to tell us about the locations we had to reach or a hard word, the organisers asked me to pronounce their names. They sad that I managed myself perfectly with the porn poetry. :))

The saddest thing is that that Slovak girl did not say a single positive thing about our country, Slovakia. She liked everything else but her homeland. I am disappointed, but not surprised. A patriotism is still taken as a crime in Slovakia. When you compare it with Poles and Russians and South Slavic countries where patriotism is alive, you see that all these people in video think nicely about own culture, kitchen, language, etc. Slovaks are taught to think we are of no value, no history, nothing interesting here... which is so far from the truth. I am glad that there are at least some foreigners to show how amazing Slovakia and Slovaks are. I recommend anybody interested in my culture to check out the Chasing Kimberly KZfaq channel. :-))) My husband is Polish and I can see how proud he is of his Polish culture, history, language, kitchen and more.
