I believe Percy's comment on her weight loss further supports this as maybe when he was alive she'd eat alot more(thus have more weight) and when gawain took over after percy's death she began to eat less as gawain's cooking is....something

I think someone said that as long as you got any sin you cant escape Avalon.Merlin knew what would happen to artoria if she took the sword, artoria also had an idea of how it would turn out and was ok with it. Still Merlin cant forgive himself about it , and thus he is still trapped on Avalon.

@@Emiya491 she is an experiment by Artoria Fanatics to bring Artoria back, they did all kind of things to her, the experiment change her face like Artoria. Her whole hometown is part of it, including ber parents. In the end Gray was saved by Waver, but upon looking at her face Waver felt disgusted. So now she wear her coat and mantle to hide her face as much as she could

As for those self doubts, her belief that she brought about the fall of Camelot and all the death and woe associated with it because she wasn’t a good enough king. Which assuming this is post Fate/Stay Night, possibly Unlimited Blade Works, she has assumably finally started to put those doubts to rest

@@naoimportagarai Her doubts are about herself. The reason she was tense during the 4HGW is because she felt the regret of leading her own country. She doubted herself and her right to be king when it all ended in failure. Iskandar judged that as unkingly of her because the king must be selfish and must accept the result of whatever decisions they make. Artoria couldn't accept her ending but after FSN, she has moved on from that. That's why she looks better here in FGO, and why Iskandar is now happy to see her as a proud king again.

The line with Gareth is really sad... For me, she and bediviere are the most kindhearth of all of the round table knights, and that line with iskandar is really interesting considering the interludes of seiba. And he he cute little castoria, of course she Will know her more than anyone.

@@rosavine23 Probably we don't have him just for the class. Only Mash should be a "Shielder" in the game, even though I think some "Shielder Servants" could be very interesting.

@@toni2296 Galahad would be a Saber. He might have his Shield but Mash is a shielder not because of Galahad, but because her main Noble Phantasm in his shield/The center piece for the Round Table. She's a nonstandard class because she's still a living human with the powers of a servant made her own so she isn't bound to the 7 classes of servant used as a vessel to summon the heroes. Mash herself is the vessel. Essentially how Heroic Spirit summoning works is thus: You're not summoning the literal Ghost of the hero but instead one of 7(9) vessels which are the various classes. You're not Summoning Arthur Pendragon but a Saber Servant embied with a fraction of the true Hero who resides in the Throne. This system gets jacked and changed a lot in F/GO which is how we end up with Divine Spirits summoned as Heroic Spirits by using a Human as a vessel to make a Pseudo-Servant Mash's shield being the center piece is pretty important for all of Chaldea too given it's the Catalyst for the entire Hero Summoning that allows you to summon literally any heroic spirit because the Round Table is "A Place where heroes gather". So given her lack of need for the 7 standard class vessels she's able to manifest as a nonstandard class like sheilder because of how important the shield is for literally everything around her. Technically we could get other "Shielders" or even something crazy like... oh say a computer virus manifesting as its own unique Class outright. *Cough B.B. cough* The Class system is really only used because it's convenient for gameplay. (Yes I am aware of the two other Moon Cancers but that's more like an instance of "Best fit" more so than a situation that they have similar powers to BB. Alucerid for example is literally the daughter of the Moon.)

I believe this is because of how Chaldea’s summoning system differs to the Heaven’s Feel summoning system. Unlike Heaven’s Feel which takes a copy of the spirit directly from the Throne, the Chaldea system more or less copies the records of meetings with summoned versions of those Heroic Spirits and almost projects them in a way (using the round table, Mash’s shield as a catalyst for this unique). So, it doesn’t exactly follow the rules of the grail war system. This is why the Kaleid characters, Shiki and Fujino, and other such servants can be summoned. Though, there does seem to be some who don’t retain their memories of past summonings, such as Iskandar saying nothing about Waver

There are rules to this. Ever since stay night, it has been known that strong enough experiences etch themselves to the servants who will then remember them even if they're summoned through the grail wars, or whatever method. If the experience is important enough, they will be added to what is communicated to the true body of the servant In the throne of heroes.

It makes no damn sense and it's an awful line when said by him. Muramasa is Old Man Shirou and he's got no reason to mention Artoria. He is completely different person than the Shirou who partook in war. That line would have made way more sense if it were said by Emiya. Who actually remembers everything about Saber, including how she is too responsible.

You know, this is really a great showcase as how impactful artoria was to the knight of the roundtable. While some may had betrayed her, all of them carry great respect for their king. I guess her ideology stood the test of time.

@@racaphrandomshitpost9788Read the VN and Hollow Atarxia. Saber is one of the only few things that Archer couldn’t forget. The prologue to the series where a Shirou said “I will remember this scene vividly even when I have gone to hell” is from Archer’s perspective.
