there’s a voice line which says “that horse is probably the only thing he cares about other than his guns” or something like that, so he definitely cares about baylock

If you enable cheats and kill Baylock, Micah reacts very heavily. Screaming his name and then immediately shooting at you.

btw micah is very proud of baylock's strength, if you take care of your own horse he'll remark "that horse looks almost as strong as baylock!... almost" + every camp horse gets nervous if you try to pat them

WAIT WHAT IF THE PINKERTONS KILLED BAYLOCK AND THE COUNT? The pinkertons during the mission where you save Abigail from Milton a Pinkerton shouts "Aim for their horses!" it's possible before Micah and Dutch confront John and Arthur their horses are shot dead !

Because of Baylock, I used black female kentucky saddler which was almost same pattern as Baylock except without white colour on her face. Named her Balalaika. Bravest horse I've ever used. The thing is, that playthrough was the ONLY time that kentucky saddler was the best horse ever.

Of course Micha gets literally my dream horse in this game.

Always thought Baylock was a cool looking horse I think on some level Micah cared for him You know I think its a rare random line but If your doing camp chores and you walk past Micah while moving bales of hay to feed the horses he'll actually say "make sure Baylock gets some of that".

there are camp interactions with micah where if you carry hay bales infront of him he'll tell you to make sure baylock gets plenty, and if you walk your horse infront of him he'll go "they're looking almost as strong as baylock! ...almost."

Baylock maybe is actually the rdr1 horse and it recognized John (or Jack) so it let them ride it

I think Micah cared for Baylock but just didn't take care of him.

There's actually a hidden voiceline where if you kill baylock using mods and have Micah nearby, he will shout "Baylock, no!". So Micah probably does care for baylock

Turns out Micah cares about Baylock. If you manage to kill Baylock near Micah you can hear him yell "BAYLOCK!" In a sad devastated tone like he saw a family member die before his eyes

The funny thing is that Baylock is playable in red dead one once you complete the campaign at low honour. I would guess Baylock was anywhere between four and ten years old during the periodic events of rdr2 to so assuming that he is the same horse in 1914, Baylock could potentially be and most likely is, the oldest horse and last one living from the vanderlinde gang as everyone else’s mounts seemingly died or were sold went missing etc. I believe this to be canon as many others do. Baylock is probably twenty five by the events of rdr1 which in retrospect isn’t THAT old for a horse as they’ve been proven to live up to their late sixties, but in common terms is still an older horse

You can't actually activate it in game, but if you were somehow able to kill Baylock in front of Micah, he has a voiceline of him screaming "Baylock!" in the most concerned tone I've ever heard out of him.

Should’ve been Arthur’s horse in my rdr2 story I made Baylock my main horse as Arthur and changed Micah’s to a Tennessee Walker coz Micah don’t deserve Baylock

I didn't be locked, didn't die. I went down the mountain and I was kind of exploring 1 day and I found bailout just laying there like he wasn't dead and he was just like standing there. I tried to Mount him but it didn't let me.
