After decades on top of the world, a bombshell 2020 BuzzFeed exposé showed the world a different side of the beloved host. Accusations of bullying and a toxic workplace eventually lead to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" being canceled in 2022 after 19 seasons.
"The backlash clearly took its toll on Ellen. She lost a lot of viewers," Page Six senior reporter Carlos Greer said. "Ultimately she will be known for her courage for coming out on her show in the '90s and her contributions to society." Ellen had one of the best daytime TV shows in history. I watched her for years. She went out of her way to help struggling families and schools. She gave many artists their first shot and they went on to have great careers. She hired Stephen Boss and they created a great vibe together for years. She introduced kids to their sports and musical idols. She created games other shows copied. She gave away a lot of money for nothing (she drew big sponsors). She gave new cars to nurses. Her mother's day show sent new moms home with major new things. I could go on. Lot of haters came here. I miss Ellen!
