If it keeps them in business I don’t think it matters how a streetwear brand operates or if their releases are limited or not. What separates luxury from the rest is retail price and seasonal offerings.

There's a difference from "keeping them in business" and purposely creating less product in order for the demand to raise which in turn creates a more valuable product. This is intentional. Some of these brands might not be price gouging but it does create resellers who buy up everything just to resell it for a higher price. From a business perspective this is actually a really clever method but in turn it also leaves a bad taste in your mouth for the people who aren't able to get it. That's what I mean by blurring the lines. Also, this idea that the only difference between them is retail and seasonal is just BS. First off, luxury also has retail and seasonal prices it's just more expensive and the resale value pretty much stays the same unless it's damaged. Street wear, on the other hand, becomes more expensive as it the items are sold.
