Emmy. Oscars are for theatrical [film] releases, Emmy's are for television and made-for-tv movies and miniseries, like Roots. And golden globes cover both tv and movie theaters. SAG may possibly cover both, also, but idk. ....And Cable ACE awards no longer exist, but would have only been for cable programming like dream on (hbo) or monk (usa), i think.

Leon to me is one of the coolest actors in the industry. Hollywood hasn't recognized his talent. Watch him in the action flick Cliffhanger with Sly Stallone, he plays a villian and gives one of the best performances I've seen in film.

I honestly don't know what happened to Leon's career, it's either he chose not to accept roles and not produce his own production company or the studios didn't offer him roles because his acting is too campy.

He definitely portrayed David Ruffin very well! The mannerisms, and attitude was "on point!" It's sad when success alter your true being; irregardless growing up in poverty. A LOT of single women are successful in raising their children without a man. It's difficult, but many women do it oftentimes.

Comedy hype really put together a video saying that this man played as the husband to Lela Rochon character in waiting to Exhale. she was his mistress. He wouldn't leave his wife for her. But he got her pregnant, then she dumped him because he wouldn't divorce his wife. Come on Comedy hype. But it was dope to find out he improvised one of the most famous lines in black cinema, potentially all cinema, with that "Ain't nobody come to see you Otis!" 😂😂😂

Not a chance I'll forget him! I met him in the early 2000s when I was 16, I was fan of his since his appearance in HBO's Oz. He was in my hometown for Christmas to visit family and came to our Key Club table in a book store to have some books he just purchased wrapped. I was too nervous to ask for an autograph but I said Hi and how nice it was to meet him and shook his hand. So handsome in person! My friend had no clue what was going on as I was freakin' out next to her. Always remember that day when I see him on TV!

I know Leon was written out of HBO's Oz, to work on the Temptations, but his character Jefferson Keane was one of the best short lived, on that show. He would have remained the most popular had he not been killed off. He's such a natural.

Leon played a significant role in the movie "The Women of Brewster Place" alongside Robin Givens. He played her boyfriend in the movie and was portrayed as an admirable figure working with children in the community to recreate a modern urban version of A Midsummer's Night Dream.

Nobody will forget David Ruffin he played that roll, waiting to Exhale ! Five heartbeats, he is currently playing a pastor in the Chi and his lovely daughter I'm surprised she not in show biz they have a good relationship . Both her parents are stars in someway , she's not shy but she didn't want to leave her mother for college . I lived on campus two years but it was only a small school and it was about 15 min away from my mother's house I wasn't fortunate to have a decent father , their daughter seems to know she's blessed all kind of ways .
