Holy shit! I can't believe your coming here to Cape Town! Roads I recommend: Franschhoek pass (Chris Harris once described it as being like the Route Napoleon but better, couldn't agree more), Helshoogte pass, Viljoens pass, Chapmans peak and finally, the R44 between Gordans bay and Rooi Els. Some of the best roads in the world! Also, if you have a minute, check out the Franschhoek motor museum, 200 of the most insane cars owned by South Africas richest person, a must see!

I agree 100% with the roads you mention! Sam, if you can only drive one road, do these two... Franschoek Pass and R44 Gordans Bay to Kleinmond via Rooi Els. And if you have more time, continue on and visit Hermanus.

You have to drive the Coastal Road from Gordan's Bay to Hermanus. That and the Franschoek pass are the greatest roads in the world!!!

For Cape Town you need to drive the coastal road between Gordon's Bay and Rooi Els, 30 min from centre Cpt!

THIS times 100X. Just test drove a 2004 gated manual 360 last week. Black on black. I'm headed back to buy it this week! The click clunk of the gear shifter kept me up at night, it was that good. I'm excited!

Chapman's Peak Drive (M6) from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. R44 from Gordan's Bay to Rooi Els. Rhodes Drive (M63) from Hout Bay, past Kirstenbosch on to Newlands. Victoria Road (M6) From Hout Bay to Camps Bay. Check out the Franschhoek Motor Museum on the R45.

Take the exit off the N1 which reads "Khayelitsha" its very scenic, and not many tourists! And being serious, make sure to visit Stellenbosch.

The garden route in Cape Town is very nice and scenic if you look for a nice drive but also to see a bit of the Cape

If you have time for a trip a couple of hours out of Cape Town try to get on the Michell's Pass between Tulbagh and Ceres on the R46. Also would include Bains Kloof Pass on the R301 between Ceres and Wellington. Otherwise in Cape Town itself, Chapman's Peak Drive and the coast road between Sea Point and Hout Bay!

P0496 Evaporative Emission System Flow During Non-Purge. There are particles escaping into the evap system when they aren't supposed to. Normally these are released when the engine is started and are then burned. The fuel tank sensor is monitored to see if a vacuum is being drawn on the evap system. The vacuum for my car has to be greater than 4'' H2O or less than -4'' H2O for 5 seconds within 10 minutes of a cold start. That will turn on my engine light. In my case a canister purge solenoid valve was stuck and was replaced. 20$ part but I suspect it's going to be a good bit more for you.

However, enjoy your stay in Marrakech, welcome to Morocco and let's hope that this will not the only time coming in here. (Keep an eye on there, it's rumoured that there is a Chiron in town)

Personally I think the 360 is great in its current form as well. I love that you're keeping the upgrades factory and if you're keeping the car for a long time I don't see the rush personally. Super cool to see you link up with Steve and Ben, two of my favourite lifestyle KZfaqrs so would love to see you go on a roadtrip for a weekend or something while you're over there! I think they both ride bikes so they probably know some good roads anyway.

South Africa... Chapmans Peak Drive... and Cape of Good Hope... Trip to Hermanus with lunch at: Bientang's Cave Restaurant... Also take a trip to the Delaire Graff Estate - They do wine tasting most evenings, just turn up in a shirt/shoes... Always some incredible cars there. Morrocco - Don't get lost in the Medina :) Crazy place, good fun, however. Wheels or Exhausts - Talk to Adrian at R-Tec Auto Design

Ben before a day can recommend the M64 and the M6 great great roads. Definitely if u are in Cape Town on in either the 22, 23 or 24 of February go and try out Killarney race track's supercar drive days. Always a good way of getting out and trying new track days as you said you wanted to try more track days.

Had the same issue on my 09 accent hahaha it's a little valve somewhere in the fuel line.. does absolutely nothing, as you said it's for emissions but the car functions 100% regardless.

I highly recommend checking out the Franschhoek Motor Museum, they have an insane collection of our finest cars. Also, take a drive up Chapman's Peak and around Clifton beach, amazing roads with unbelievable scenery. Lastly, please inform as to the dates of your visit, and maybe the details of the Audi event. Thanks for the update, Wheels on the F car yes, exhaust Nay, exhaust on the Cayman Na. (why?) as you said, the F car sounds good as is, the Cayman will just sound like a Subi, not good. My 2 cents.

I'm not 100% sure when but they only recently stopped manufacturing old VW Golf Mk1s and there's LOADS of them in Cape Town... might be a nice little scene to explore when you are there.

Head to Chapmans Peak and rent your self an AC Cobra to do it in!!! I fly down to SA a lot and will be there at the end of Jan and Feb - it's by far the BEST destination I go to, absolutely LOVE the place. Book the AC in advance though. There is also a great little Breakfast bar that does great coffee and food in Bantry Bay called Jarrods, again book if you can!

I am English but I am in Cape town in the whole of February. I have been to cape town many times...You need to drive on chapman peaks drive road around the coast. All down the waterfront of Capetown is Super car heaven, make sure you visit and go up Table Mountain. Cape town is amazing. Oh and make sure you go to Camps bay...

Hi Sam, pretty stoked that you're coming to South Africa, pity you won't be visiting Durban, but Cape Town has a few pretty sick cars. Try and see if you can hook up with Selwyn Chatz, he's got a white LaFerrari Aperta and try out Chapmans Peak Drive. It's a awesome road.

Adam Blyth Thanks for not being offensive with your question. However, I still feel the need to say something on the matter of crime in SA. I live in Cape Town and have never known of anyone who has experienced any crime. Yes, crime stats here are higher than other countries. If you don't go into the slums and other dodgy areas then this beautiful country feels about as dangerous as Disney land. I believe that nowhere else on earth is the reality of the situation as far removed from the international perspective and beliefs as crime in South Africa. We don't live in fear, so please don't think you'll have to travel in fear. Cheers man👍

As we know you love defenders they have is south Africa a very specific one (exclusive made from 1997 to 2001) petrol defender with a 2.8i BMW 6 inline engine. The most powerfull factory defender ever made nearly 200bhp !

Im from South Africa. (Live in Ireland now) Lived in Capetown for a few years. You must drive Viljoens pass, Franchhoek pass and Chapman's peak (if it's open) enjoy Capetown Its a beautiful city

Update the Ferrari steering wheel and leave the exhaust and wheels alone. They are fine from the factory and you are going to need the money for maintenance and other projects anyway.
