I would like to say, we repaired and reupped our ramps. With each further stride away from Covid, Clairemonts slowly coming back! Our bmx course is still under refurbishment though. We did get a landing airbag for a roll away.👌🏻

A buddy and I took a trip there in October (from Vancouver Washington) and that was one of the bucket list parks for us. Showed up and was pretty disappointed as well. They didn't have the skatercross completely open which was also disappointing. Wish they could get more donations/people to help.

Obviously I'm close to the park and the guy that is currently running it, so I may be a bit sensitive, but I feel like you could of had an extra couple sentences/clips to offset the negative and showcase the positive aspects of the park as a whole. Gary has been trying to sort funds to rework that portion of the park for a while, but as we all know, it's an expensive endeavor.

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll take it into consideration in the future. My goal with this video is to bring awareness to the difficult truth that this legendary park needs donations to repair some issues. Not looking to throw shade towards anyone. Maybe you guys can follow my lead by letting your patrons know how they can help repair the park!

Perhaps set up a fundraiser table at the La Jolla Farmers' Market or art festival. There are people there that would give to charities for kids and have more money than they could ever spend. Start a campaign on channel 8 and 10 and tell the masses how to donate. Be even more proactive than you thought you had to be. Approach Home Depot or Lowes corp maybe even a SD Developer -- corp office and get ramp materials donation. People will help you... UCSD SDSU and local high school surf and skate clubs - a whole army of people that would likely support a worthy mission.

I paid $30 for Sabrina and I to ride the park. I always pay to ride. I’m always happy to pay to ride skateparks.

The goal of this video wasn’t to bad mouth this park. It was more about bringing awareness to this place and how great of a park it is and it needs our help. But I must agree Woodward is the best! Hahahaha

It's one of the FEW wood parks in Socal... unfortunately,.. its always been kinda Janky with screws popping up and the like, I think their plan with the airbag did not go as planned either,. and the LAST contest they held on Thanksgiving was a Fiasco..... sadly a LOT of these issues could be fixed with planning and marketing...

What happens when parks aren't maintained properly or at all and also why alot of wooden parks do 𝙉𝙊𝙏 allow bikes or at least didn't yrs ago.

The holes in the ramps are from skinny scooter wheels piercing through the ramps and since the holes are on the bowl corners and flat tops it is apparent that it is from skinnier wheel such as skateboard wheels and scooter wheels hitting them

I’m going to have to agree with @ronanfazio on that. Bike tires are definitely going to be a lot less destructive. I would also add that the bike riders tend to land wheel side down more often than skaters or scooter riders. That being said, I think it’s stupid that we STILL cannot coincide at “skateparks”
