That’s a good question, I honestly don’t know. But I think taxes would be the last thing I’d be worrying about in this situation!

500k is the maximum. Anything under that is totally protected

Are you sure SIPC covers ETFs like VTI or VOO? I can’t get a solid answer anywhere.

Yes, SIPC covers all investments except for crypto, commodities, futures contracts and a few other non-standard types of investments

@@JayFairbrother thanks cause I started using Robinhood who I don’t trust but their App is just so much easier. I have other accounts but for easy day to day Robinhood better.
