Wisconsin has explicitly told me that it doesn't matter where your registered or if it's through an LLC or not, you will be ticketed and your vehicle will be towed. This was when I moved here from Montana and got pulled over within the first week I moved here with Montana tags. The guy was nice and let me off with a warning but he said he wouldn't do that the next time. I have scoured and scarred the internet but I cannot find any court cases or case law on this. You wouldn't have any case law links would you???

I wish there was a way to change the law here in Kentucky.

I have a Defender Lonestar HD10 and we are having problems with the Park Rangers of Cameron County in South Padre Island, Tx. Is it legal to use the UTV under the same state law of Texas with register plates of Montana or Arizona or do you know if they themselves can enforce banning UTVs under their own laws.

But when its registered out of state. And ur drivers lisence is different from that state they say u had 30 days to transfer

But you don't have to have all the required equipment that your home state requires if you are legally registered in another state and insured right? Isn't that the whole point of going through the out of state process? Otherwise I'd just pony up and buy all the extra parts my home state requires and go to the DMV here. There is no way that someone driving a now street legal vehicle (UTV, for example) cross country is required to know every state's specific UTV equipment requirements, for example. That'd be insane.

Missouri is hilarious. Says right on my ATV title and paperwork that it is "not for use on any open or public road." Yet they still say you are supposed to "register" it with the state and call it a "vehicle" on the title. Even though it cannot be driven legally on any road. lol. They just want it registered so they can collect personal property tax. I'll get right on that🙄
