Cromarty Firth is a large Scottish bay that serves as a harbor for all of the British infrastructure that facilitates oil drilling in the North Sea. It's calm waters make it the perfect place to temporarily store oil rigs while they wait for a new life, or decommission.

Right up until someone decides they are special and brings their infected ass onto your base because they think they won't get sick. That or zombie fish.
