If you buy a diving knife and the treasure tool diving gear from the buoy (which is in the middle of the ocean) you can dive for treasure witch gets you items from 100 simoleans to 900 simoleans each.

Some suggestions: - you should add the lot trait of island spirits because you're close to the volcano, which seems like a good place for elemental activity. - also you should just make her swimwear a bra and underwear because that's more realistic to what she would actually wear in this situation. she would theoretically already own those items. - You should also have her to odd jobs around the islands instead of having her do a career.

Maybe, you should do odd jobs instead of having a part-time job at first, and collect new collectibles, sell duplicates... Great soil trait is good to have at this point so you can plant some coconuts and pineapples, and you don't have to have a lot of them... When you get enough money you can move to another lot or you don't have to, you can pre-build a house and place it by the volcano, but take off that trait off the grid, and then you can start a new carrier, I hope game developers will fix by then everything that is lagging...

There is a moodlet for “just enough” sunbathe. You have to look out for it or the Sim will burn and you have to wait a few days to try again. :)

The mod for more columns has been updated. There is even 5 now! So glad another generation of Rags to riches has commenced .

One other thing to make the rags to riches feel real for this expansion is that 'Off the Grid' turns of MOST of what your phone can do. So it's a lot easier to 'ignore' that you even have it.

I'd suggest maybe saving up for the Treasure Hunting equipment you can buy from the buoys and diving after. Some of the treasures I've come across can find are sometimes worth 200 - 300 to start, or 500. The new fish traps are also really super helpful to use to capture fish and also treasure.

I've also encountered a decent amount of lag (when I started playing with my vampires in Sulani. I was testing to see if we can turn Vamps into Mermaids and vice versa. Result: You cannot turn a mermaid into a vampire and if a vampire eats the mermadic kelp it will not turn into a mermaid. I did get a mermaid and vamp together to see what would happen with their kids - they had twins - one was born a mermaid and the other was born a vampire. The shame was the game got overloaded and for the first time in my Sims 4 play I encountered so much lag, I actually had to turn the game off *(Note: I own every pack and have a top video card, brand new gaming computer). Will try again later - might move the vamps out and see if that was the problem. // *Also another glitch I keep encountering (even before adding vamps) is the plates get stuck to hands and my toddlers can't eat and I've almost had a couple taken away. It's the worst. I also had toddlers unable to use the Wabbit Tablet - kept glitching out of their hands to a table. I hope a patch is coming soon.

Skip flea market all together. Live off the island, sell inventory. Not being able to fish is already a disadvantage. Once you have a little camp set up then you could switch to conservation.
