The concrete disintegrated because it was mixed with too much water and with zero large aggregate (stones). The stones give strength and when the water evaporates the space it took up in the mix leaves it too aerated.

The bleed water can't evaporate as it's curing... and the mix was too runny, so that compounds the problem. Maybe if you drill lots of small holes in the tire, the bleed water can escape.

This guy is some sort of genius! Not for the 'concrete tires' idea, but for the usage of starting fluid(ether) to ignite and quickly expand the air inside the tires, to force the tires' beads to expand and contact the sides of the rim properly. At first, I wasn't paying full attention to what he was saying(ADD), so I was under the assumption that he was trying to set the rubber tires on fire to burn them off the rims, which made no sense. But after rewinding and actually listening to the interpreter, it was an impressive impromptu idea.

Just found your channel and I love it!!! Here's my idea. Should try cutting them open the same way but with the intention of sealing them back up with a tire cut to be used as the patch. I would use anchor bolts to make sure they stay on with a bit of foam to seal it....as for what to fill the tires up with with, damp play sand!!! Think you might be surprised at the turn out. Keep up the fun!!!

Besides air, some tire companies fill tires with nitrogen. But all the Belle Tires in Michigan (greater Detroit area) can fill tires with light weight concrete. Never deal with puncture holes again.

Too much water like what you used weaken that concoction. Add rocks, steel and/or fiberglass for added strength and use a concrete vibrator to remove air entrapment. Poor little car deserves better wheels.

Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Rider tires. They used to use these filled tires in the scrap yards and steel mills. Man were they ever heavy and rough riding. I am not sure what was inside them (someone told me it was some kind of foam ) they never went flat. You could see pieces of metal embedded and sticking out of them.I filled my dry rotted wheel barrel tire full of 50/50 mix anti freeze and the rest air , it lasted a long time .

I'm surprised by the amount of caution and even trepidation he is conveying. The things that make the US and Russia quite different can be found here, something has to be done with no possibility of assistance. Russians get it done because no one will take care of it for you. I was born in 1983, and grew up in fear of the "bad guys" behind this iron curtain. Now as an adult, I have so much respect for them for doing what had to be done in any situation, there was no option but to handle it.
