While the real way to "brute force" is to find the picture online instead of in game, if you actually wanted to try all combinations: 4 turns for first statue Turn second statue and try all options for 1st, repeat for all rotations of statue 2 Turn third statue, try all 16 combinations of previous... So in total, try all 4096 combinations. If rotating takes 5 seconds including running around that's about 5 hours and 41 minutes.

*Guide for braindeads:* 1. Hardcore Player: The tryhard, the dedicated and the mediator of preservation itself. You might as well become an emanator of preservation, since in this method: you just try every random guess, fixed thinking, and total deduction on it. And if you did, then Congratulations, you created a new timeline branch on the imaginary tree but that ain't changing the major event. Just how you did on Kafka mission on Xianzhou, preventing conflicts by closing the doors--but that ain't changing on her still fighting yanqing is the same as how aventurine confronts sunday. 3. Blind Runner: You are now officially a brute, mindless hooligan in this route. There is no need explaination on this, it is worse version of a hardcore player since they can just literally repeat the same puzzle process and forgot it, literally stuck themselves on the hole. 4. Guide Reliance: It is the same as number 2, where you just go search in random community, social media, google etc. For the guide and picture of the puzzle so you can just copy it as you just "solve" the puzzle on the game when in actuality---you are in a exam, and you literally have a paper that contains every answer. 5. Intelligent Thinker: Are you smart? An intelligent individual, having high iq, or that type of guy who said: "Knowledge is power". Then this method is for you. Instead of doing the quest, doing what hardcore or bruteforce player do; you shall not need information when your iq deduction skills is par on L! If you can that is. Using one's iq and intelligence for that, in this fixed puzzle, i doubt everyone would go this way........right? 6. Lore Seeker: Lore, Lore, Lore. The one that spices the narration and story itself---using the lore one's gathered to solve the puzzle seems a logical perspective. Maybe it is, maybe it is not. It can delve between complex lores, or just straight up gathering information, a less intelligent route of number 5. Though, you can just call it Smart + Lore Addiction combination method. 7. Lucky Gambler: Brute force but lucky. How could that happen? you don't need to know on how a fixed puzzle have such "lucky" occurences. If it's lorewise, then aventurine's luck will surely solve the puzzle on one go.

Ok, but Ratio doesn't sound nearly as sarcastic as he could be tho :D (lemme take a huff of copium real quick) Personal opinion: it was a not-quite-compliment, disguised as an insult. Remember: 1) Sunday has eyes and ears everywhere, 2) Sunday offered the betrayal deal because he was under the impression that Ratio didn't enjoy Aventurine's company very much. So both would have to give the oscar performance not just in front of Sunday, but anywhere he could hear them.

His remark in this is far nicer compared to when you don't brute force it where he makes his sarcastic remark Ratio himself doesn't believe in luck actually - he'd rather people trust in their own to intuation rather than leave it to 'luck' but it seems Ratio despite this he even wishes aventurine good luck in his letter to him (doctors advice) I believe he doesn't dislike him personally Just his way of going about with things And also Ratio is a part of the mundanites so,, this is certainly not an insult The mundanites work hard to be on the same level as the genius society and help others Him saying that Aventurine fits right in with them is basically saying that though he may not be a 'genius', he does have the means of getting things done well

I know that being invited to join the Mundanites would be an honor, but with the "I was being sarcastic" clarification it gains that vibe of "ah yes, you are soooooo smart". And also I don't believe he dislikes him either. (also also, six statues with four available positions for each would make for Many Combinations, so successfully bruteforcing it would indeed be impressive)

Random fact - You can "brute force" it while seeing solution in-game. Just don't step into trigger in front of picture (which you can perfectly see from side) showing solution and game will consider you brute forcing it.

This dialogue appears when you do the puzzle without going into the room where they give us the map for it, meaning we are brute forcing the puzzle by just guessing until we get it right

There are two ways of doing it: Either looking at the map to do the puzzle Or doing the puzzle successfully without looking at the map or entering the room with the key to the puzzle
