This team is not capable of delivering Kompany's style of football. Trafford can't command the box or deal with crosses and all opposition teams know this. We are heading back to square one. Potentially we could see 11/13 new players are start of next season as well. Nuts.

Why are they not asking him real hard questions like: (1) Vince: " Your goalkeeper is not keeping that well, why are you still keep trusting him or is it that you don't rust your other keepers and if that isn't the case why are they not getting any chances??" I fell like you touched on the muric/trafford debate perfectly as a outsider looking in nothing the best option is to go with the keeper who’s more comferable with the ball at his feet and can distribute out the back which is one of murics strengths and I think you drop trafford for muric and if you go down sell muric cause he’s good enough to play and start at a mid table prem club and then you develop trafford in the championship giving him the one shirt

Another great analysis Jacob 🙂Amdouni is playing out of position and has lost form. Foster and Fofana would have been an entirely different proposition if they would have played together. Muric is a different type of keeper and was much more part of the defensive unit last season. I'm worried that Kompany gets sacked because he wasn't ruthless with this squad rotation earlier in the season. If he'd rotated Muric in after a few games, it would have been no big deal. Now, however, he is trapped into making Trafford's selection a huge issue. Looking back, Burnley should have bought a CDM instead of Tresor. Somehow, Cullen took the blame for how bad Berge was at the beginning of this season and Cullen was not able to play himself back into the squad. (Berge best Burnley player now by some distance.) Just want this season to end and see if Burnley can keep hold of their key players for next season in the Championship.

As a non Palace fan, all teams promoted tend to gut the team that fit them promoted first the basic reason of financial constraints, availability of players on loan and the belief that squad members can compete at premier league levels. No disrespect but Burnley aren’t a well off club so stability and one or two shrewd signings in the spine of the team was always going to be the best option. You don’t have the personnel to play out from the back and are clearly being targeted for that by teams. The premier league is more clinical and unforgiving of tactical errors. That said the long ball game is even less effective if it’s over used. Dyche kept Burnley effective by using average players in the most tactical effective system. A keeper with good distribution can start the play from the back even to average players the key is though the effectiveness of the players to continue to link the play. If Trafford’s pass into Brownhill is typical of his distribution then I’m not surprised players are making themselves unavailable for passes out from the back. Even if he had got there first what was the next pass? He would be under severe pressure and the route back to the keeper was already cut off. It was a poor pass on many levels. Even if it meant losing possession he had to go for a long pass. In one shot it destroyed the ability to attack and offered an opportunity to pick at the defense until answers could be found at leisure. All successful promoted sides can either hold possession, press really well or be effective defending deep and counterattacking. The key is always adding the missing facets over the following seasons. Being bad at what you did well at is never a good sign.

In the documentary. VK stated player need 100 to 150 sessions to understand his way to play. That soon by the wayside this season.

The strangest thing about it all is completely changing our style/shape to facilitate a goalkeeper that cannot execute the passes needed to play through the lines in last season's progressive style, nor can the rest of his signings - O'Shea and Esteve have some talents but short/medium range passing certainly isn't one of them.... Leading to the most turgid, boring attempted build up play which is getting progressively worse every week. It was different against Spurs with Cullen splitting the centre halves and Muric in net, looked much like the team of last season - wonder why eh? VK's bizzare Trafford (and Amdouni) shaped hill that he's happy to die on is just bizarre.

I wonder what's happened to Manuel Benson? Whys he suddenly been frozen out he was amazing in the championship and signing 10+ players clearly doesn't help

Good video! One thing I question is the Muric wouldn't make the saves Trafford would. Muric makes some very very good saves and kept us in games at times last season. His double save in pre season proved that. I don't see this huge difference between Trafford and Muric's shot stopping to really warrant comments that Muric isn't as good as Trafford at shot stopping.

Im not convinced VK is entirely to blame tbh.I wonder how much pressure the money men are putting on him to keep playing the prize (?) assets,keeping them in the shop window,when a blind man can see they are not ready.VK was brilliant last year with lower valued incomings and loans.Why we bought so many wingers when we needed strengthening elsewhere god only knows,maybe statistically wingers have more chance of a profitable return?.VK seems a super inteligent bloke and a great footballer,surely he can see what we all can see-could his hands be tied somewhat

This team won't even do well in the Championship, it's been far too much of a overhaul of the squad, why on earth we didn't fight for Tella yet spend that amount on other players, we definitely should have kept Barnes for one more season out of respect for what he's done with Burnley FC, we're definitely missing what he gave to the team, where is Benson, where is Zaroury 🤔 Right so, we should keep Kompany, but he needs to drop Trafford and get Muric back in goals, but that's not going to happen hey, so I can see Kompany being the master of his own downfall and we're definitely going down this season 😪

The reality is Burnley are going down. Sacking the manager won’t make any difference to that reality. So, the manager needs to be someone who can get a team out of the championship and back to the Premier League. Vincent Kompany has done that. Do we give him that opportunity to do it again? Not for me, put simply his transfers have been a disaster and his tactics, decision making, timing of substitutes has been very poor. Before anyone asks I am not engaging in who should replace him, simply because no matter who I suggest the Kompany in crowd will just argue back, because they want Vincent Kompany. Anyway, that’s my thoughts, sorry it’s kinda long.
