MY CAPTAIN! In his last year at City, Kompany barely played anymore due to his injuries but I think in terms of his managerial career that was a very good thing. Since he wasn't on the pitch playing I feel like he was closer to Pep that year than any year before that which surely improved his understanding of the game. People always gave him slack for his time at Anderlecht but fail to understand that Anderlecht was and still is a club in disarray. Just look at them now, they're currently 11th in the League after Kompany left... he worked wonders to get them to 3rd and a Cup Final. And what he's done at Burnley... honestly... I thought it wouldn't work. Cus like you said when I used to think Burnley I thought about 4-4-2 Barnes and Wood up top and absolute Brexit football... which is miles off what Kompany likes to play but I have to give credit to the club here. Burnley trusted Kompany and backed him to build this project even tho his CV was not really warranting that trust... and it payed off. Easily the most exciting team in the Championship and I'm now really interested in what Burnley would be able to do back up in the Prem. Edit: Forgot to mention, WHAT A LEAGUE THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS! So exciting. Never really followed it but when Kompany took over Burnley I started to follow Burnley and that kinda led me to follow the Championship as well. Love it!

Nice comment mate, this makes me feel proud. Yeah, the championship is great.... until you are in it. Then you 💩 yourself every week wondering which way it might go, I don't feel like that this season though, which is also worrying. 🤔 I remember the last time City were in the championship, 5-0 they beat us 😁

We at Burnley have an awful lot to be thankful for during the Sean Dyche era...he is right now the best manager i have seen at Turf Moor in my time as a Clarets fan which is 51 years in February...However.....for the last 2 years of his reign things were stale....the football being served up was awful and there was an inevitability about our relegation last season....However...under Vincent Kompany we are reborn..re-energised...the football is sublime ..exciting...invigorating...Turf Moor is bouncing every home game...our fans are travelling in their thousands...there is an air of trepidation but excitement every game...we now play a fantastic flowing pressurised style of football and we are scoring loads of goals from throughout the entire squad....Thank You Sean and Thank you Vincent Kompany...

Harry Potts, Jimmy Adamson much better than Dyche and they played the total football we are virtually playing now. After all the great Jimmy Hogan a Burnley man invented and taught the Dutch, Austrians and Hungarians the concept if you possess the players capable of playing it. Strangely Pep doesn't like or have his teams playing it as he prefers players sticking to their positions.

Dude, great work! Such an incredible analysis of the situation. Dyche will always have my respect for what he achieved, but Kompany has put forth a vision that NO ONE thought was possible. Can't wait for more people to eventually jump on the Burnley bandwagon and for the club to be a much bigger global brand! Signed, an American Burnley fan

Burnley have really done fantastically and I’m so glad to see it. The recruitment your lot have done this season is unbelievably good, especially having to work on transfers and tactics quickly before the season started. I really respect Burnley as a football club, a traditionally direct side that have had a whole new rebuild and transformation in the space of only a few months, long may it continue, from a QPR fan

Hello Vizeh, City supporter here.. I just want to say I am glad that Vinny is doing a great job so far with Burnley and he's helped to improve your squad in many ways, starting off with the way Burnley plays football, then how he's developing young talented players and trusts in them, and of course in the league as well where Burnley is top of the table. I hope he stays at Burnley for another season when you're back in PL, before he makes a big step move as a coach. I want him to be our future Pep Guardiola replacement at Man City in a couple years.

Fair play to Alan Pace a lot of people doubted him massively and he said give me time and let my actions speak and boy has he delivered we will lose some loan players yes but we will be able to bring better players into the system and there's no reason we can't make a successful go back in the PL.

Burnley's board did (in my personal opinion) The most impressive masterclass in terms of managing a club bringing Vincent Kompany to the club with young talented players who got everything to prove and from the inside the debts of Burnley FC are constantly looking thinner and thinner and will be financially healthy For next season going back to the premier league. I am so happy for you, as a guy who often watch your videos. And the most important thing I can say is that Burnley FC deserves to be in the prem. And I wish that the financial situation of this football club will be healthier and the global atmosphere of the club will be better and better Well played lads. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I've watched burnley from divison 4 to the premier league, and this is the most exiting time to be a claret. Super young squad, a fantastic manager who we haven't seen the best of yet, top of the league after bring 16 players in. Playing attractive football. Furture is bright for us clarets also big shout out to PACE he sacked dyche and everyone lost it. Thought he was clueless. It nearly worked but glad we went down to rebuild the all club not just on the pitch. UTC NNN

Let's just enjoy VK while he's around. He's ambitious, respected and now successful. He'll be on the radar of the top six already. I'd expect him to be still with us next season (in the prem obviously) but if that goes well and the progress continues he's gonna move on to a bigger club. Yes, his ultimate goal is managing City, I presume. But he's not gonna turn down Spurs or Chelsea and just wait for Pep to move on...

Absolutely great video, a lot of Burnley fans fully understand how we have got to where we are. However to the wider footballing community this is a fantastic eye opener to how our club was bought. How we have gone about the use of parachute payments that probably the vast majority of football fans think we have spent on new players. Fantastic insight to the players we lost, the amount of wages we paid out. The undisputed talent we have bought since at the greatly reduced price of buying home grown players. Burnley fans have always been proud of our team, but just now we are at a new all time high. Its clear that from every team we play in the Championship the opposing fans think we have something very special happening here. I went to Bruges last September, of course wore my Burnley shirt, the number of locals I met just wanted to sit down and talk about us & Vincent Kompany. Well done Vizeh its a truly brilliant video, and yes I have subscribed!

As a Leeds fan who went through all of this but we did it completely wrong, can appreciate what's happening at Burnley right now even more. It could of been so easy for Burnley to bring in players to fill the gaps and steady the ship but instead they've done a complete rebuild, backed the manager with the right players. Everyone involved in the process should be shown the up most respect for what they've done so far. I don't think any Burnley fan could have seen any of this when you were relegated

Vincent Kompany obviously saw what a talent he already was and what his potential could be in the right team setup. He's not just talented, he's been an intelligent and exciting player to watch and to see how he's developed over the season in his positional play. Quite a few of Burnley's players have said that this Burnley squad and individual players will only get better with more playing time together. Very cool to see Burnley play this way now after all those years in the Prem. Just hope they can keep this style of play when they eventually get back up. As playing out from the back needs a goalkeeper confident with the ball in his feet I would tip Burnley to pick up Nikita Haikin on a free transfer in January. He has played for my beloved Bodø/Glimt for three seasons and been excellent at playing out from the back. Sadly he doesn't want a new contract at Glimt and I think he's hoping to find a club in England.

I honestly feel that relegation was a good thing for Burnley and for us neutrals. They went from being the ugliest side in the PL to the most attractive in the Championship, and now they’re going to come back better than before.

I really hope we come back better than before. People forget we were a top 10 club for a while that made it to Europe. We are very lucky to have got Vincent he’s the only man that could possibly get us there again

I did have a feeling that Burnley would do really well with Kompany and bounce back up with ease. He's really turned you guys around and I can see Burnley really solidifying themselves as a Premier League club if they go up (let's be honest, it's looking very likely).

@@johnslattery6194 I was hoping you guys do well as I want Kompany to do well so maybe one day he if he proves himself he can come back to us at City as a manger. Would be amazing. however, I don't want him to be hired cos he is an ex player such as Lampard cos that could go wrong n Kompany is too much of a legend for that. He is my fav ever player so would be a dream him winning titles with City again.

he may have been born in Belguim but his heart is in the NW. What a man and what a year it's been THB is the truth.

As a Chelsea fan watching ian maatsen excites me, although I doubt he will ever play his best football at Chelsea, he definitely has the potential to. I hope Burnley get promoted and I hope ian spends another season there before coming back and getting a chance at Chelsea.

Bro how many loanees do you have to watch not work out for your team before you just accept that anyone who will ever perform at a top level for Chelsea will do so immediately or not at all
@jaybridges6972
@jaybridges6972 Жыл бұрын
@@alexsmith6322 have you forgotten about Reece James, mount, tomori and Abraham. They all spent time in the championship on loan before coming back to the club. Although the last two have since left the club they were still given the chance to play for the first team and did so pretty successfully. Although I doubt maatsen will do the same id still say out of all of the players in our youth team he’s one of the most exciting. Also this isn’t the same Chelsea anymore, we don’t really know how much its going to change around the club but you can already tell there is a focus on young players, so you might be judging a little too soon.
