As one of the most polarizing figures in F1, Max Verstappen has as many secret haters as he does fans. But why is the best driver on the grid getting so much hate? And what exactly are his haters saying about him?

It’s a shame that you just tell half the story. Max’ standpoint in Brazil was a reaction on Sergio’s deliberate crash in Monaco. With which he prevented others (Max) from setting a faster time. Thát was the unsportsmanlike action. Max only responded by not giving away his spot. It is the uncomfortable truth and belongs in this story.

Exactly...what a polarizing statementd. Btw. the team already knew, before the Brazil race, Max would return that 'favor' and in this race he did.

Didn't take the unsportsmanlike action. Perez challenged him for the WDC, challengers can't be beggars. If you challenge me to a tennis match claiming you are the better player, I will make it 6-0,6-0,6-0 if I can. You want the gap as big as possible. Why flattering the car at expense of yourself by helping your team mate that didn't want to be a team mate but a rival?

@@DenUitvreter Would you try to win that convincingly by try and beating someone fair and square and train your ass off, or by trying to break the arm of your opponent? Because what Perez did there, is pretty much akin to breaking the arm of a tennis player, by taking away Max' opportunity to clock in a faster lap, which Max was well on his way of doing.

@@EntropicExergyI don't know what was going through his head at that time. I'm just saying that if you want to be the rival of a real competitor you are going to get treated as a rival and therefore shouldn't beg for presents.

The not back swapping with checo was personal, because checo intentially crashed in Monaco Q3 qualifying so max (on faster lap) couldnt finish. In that context, you know that any racer would not be nice when the next moment of respect is to arrive. Than you stick to your argument you gave earlier (apparantly).

Toto: Not a hater, in fact he has loads of respect for Max. Unlike TeamLH (not to be cnfused with normal Lewis fans that are generally fine people) he doesn't blame Max for 21 and the wikipedia comment was blown way out of proportion. I am a Max fan but can't deny he had a point. Records are just a stat. They don't tell the story. Hamilton: Has never been a Max hater. "everyone knows he is not best friends with Max"... so? Does he need to be to be regarded as "not a hater". Did he critisize Max for certain actions... sure, that is how it works in F1. He probably "hated" max in a sporting way during a certain race in Monza and one in Abu Dabi but hating Max as a person or driver... nah. The comment he made after Vegas has nothing to do with "hating Max" "Verstappen is the most anti-social driver on the grid" .... excuse me? I would be offended regardless of which driver you said that about. What a vile and uncalled for comment to make.... do better. Just for that I withdrew the like I tend to automatically give. Ricciardo/Perez/Albon/Gasly/Sainz: None of Max's former or current team mates "hate" him. Maybe they "hate" not being able to beat him (consistantly) but that is as far as the hate goes. In fact, when asked, all of them will tell that Max is a nice, kind, friendly, honest, open guy. Max has a great relationship with all of them. As for Daniel: Yes they had a rough period, that is all... they are actually really good friends. As for the Perez thing, I think @iwanoutmans3537 already said everything needed to be said. Ralph Schumacher: Disagreeing with Max is hating? ok.... well I disagree with the entire video so I guess I am a hater then? This video missed the mark.... as I already said... do better. Nobody needs more toxicity in F1, leave that to TeamLH and the MaxStans ty.

Ricciardo didn't deliberately crash into Verstappen and also there wasn't any grudge. Verstappen and Ricciardo got along great at Red Bull and they got along great after Ricciardo left. Also ridiculous to insinuate that Perez secretly hates Verstappen. Drivers are competitors and sometimes on track it can get a bit tense. That doesn't mean that there is a long lasting rivalry. This whole video looks inspired by Drive To Survive.

You're trying to make Max even more hated with this subjective video, but too bad that we all know the truth about Max and that he literally is the most talented driver on the track in this generation of drivers. Like it or not, he has that killer instinct that Senna and Schumacher had, that love for the pressure moments and the love for hunting down whoever is in front. If it's just the car, why isn't Perez beating him or getting closer to him? Hmmm, because HE CAN'T?!? Lol. Keep on hating Max while he will DOMINATE his era and while he will surpass all the former champions with his brilliance on the track. That being said, yall haters need to keep your tissues right next to you, because you're gonna do a hell lot of crying the following years. Lol. 😂😂😂
