Web of shadows had the best suit transition. Click a stick and boom you get either red or black suit plus different combos too.

I hope they fix this soon. It was the only feature that let us switch from our normal suit to the black suit, in a cool way too.

@@olaftheviking14 This is people's responses to every flaw in this game. Insomniac can't predict what they need to add all of these options for. People collectively demanded an option to change the tendril colors, so they added that because of high demand. Now the moment the update comes out people are asking for all of these little changes and options in the settings. That is why nothing's gonna come out about it.

@@_veloxity91 Honestly, true. The biggest problem with this game's reception is that people are being EXTREMELY picky about what they want. When it's not complaining that every animation Peter does doesn't change when he uses the Symbiote, it's not being able to change the tendril colours to black. When it's not that, it's NOW people complaining that we can't change it to red because Peter now has red Symbiote suit styles. And when it's not that, it's people wanting to pick what suit he changes into when he uses Surge. People just want everything.

If you play your normal save file and have it on black tendrils then it'll swap to the symbiote suit instead of the anti venom suit.

It’s ok for developers to just up and fuck off once they’ve released the game. That’s what you think at least. How much you wanna bet their security woes are their own fault. Motherfuckers literally put an update out with a dev menu still accessible to anyone that happened to press 2 buttons. And that menu revealed all sorts of info about future spider-man content. Mostly the whack ass costumes that we’ve yet to see, which they are also charging money for.

Nah fr tho. Look at Santa Monica studio. They gave us a whole DLC for FREEE bro. Valhalla added SO MUCH to the story/replayability of Ragnarok n yet insomniac couldn’t even do a NG+??? Not to mention, most games like these are expected to be released w a NG+ at launch. Yet they didn’t, ok fine cool we’ll wait. They pushed back the deadline again and again, then eventually released this half baked update. I get it. They were hacked n horrible info got out of peoples personal lives but if they were gonna take this long they coulda at least done it right.

I found out surge mode suit swap still works in youre first savefile as long as you don’t replay missions or anything you be able to switch suits in surge mode

Would be nice to be able to have an actually transition option between regular suit option and symbiot suit option/surge mode. There seems to be some type of load when using a black symbiote versus any other suit, including anti venom and Sam rami black suit. 🤷‍♂️ we will see if they care to implement anything like this though

I honestly don't mind it this all that much, it makes certain suits like the Advanced Suit in it's style 2 look really cool. I do hope they at least give the option to change what suit symbiote surge gives you in a future update.

No, because you can’t just click a button that says “Update the game and add everything everyone wanted!”. That's not how game development works but almost everyone is pretty much saying that's how it works.

My gut honestly tells me this is a bug. But in all honesty I also think it's kinda cool using Surge finishers with different suits. My favourite is the black Arachknight suit, it looks really cool with that.

It transitions to the Symbiote Suit in the standard playthrough. It’s only NG+ where it doesn’t automatically change it for you.

I hate how all the symbiote abilities are locked behind one button, you can only choose between different powers once you unlock anti-venom and still you can’t rearrange them to different buttons. So annoying just let us play how we want to.

Symbiote surge had locked suits to the surge suit. We remove suit lock in new game+ and mission replay. Suit can no longer lock in surge.

I originally bought a ps5 for this but bought it 2 years early so i sold it before the game released because i genuinely didnt use the console. I was worried id be missing out but ive only heard more complaints then positives about this game😂. I play the first game on steam deck and i just haven't felt the need to want to play spiderman 2 since released

Actually there are more positive then complaints. Majority of the complaints are invalid. So yes you are missing out. Plus they are planning a trilogy too and they are setting up SPOILERS. If you're going to play the next one then play Spider-Man 2. I guess you'll have to wait for PC release (Leaks following the hack leaked the PC release). Spoilers down 👇🏻 GREEN GOBLIN
