His zombies AI have been shadow-buffed over time, especially when Knight came out. Zombies feel a lot more reliable at the moment (still not great though).

There are some possible reasons: 1. To keep killer's patrol area at its wide. 2. In case if killer will ignore this gen in particular, it will be a quick way out when others are done. 3. "Deadlock" counter. (This gen will get blocked every time the another one is complete, letting to fix others freely). 4. Adrenaline setup.

The 2 worst things in dbd... You leave a gen at 99% to avoid 3gen and someone just finishes it. You play wesker. Cause everything is a rollercoaster of emotions with wesker. Maybe the dash works in your favor, maybe it doesnt
