Yes, same here. My window doesn’t open. I am actually register Blind, so when I said to you before that this has not been the easiest experience, it really hasn’t been. I am in an unfamiliar environment, and everything has just been… Very stressful. This morning, I ordered Uber eats, I wrote on the note I’m in quarantine please leave the food at the reception… The guy was 10 minutes late, then called me and said why aren’t I coming down? I got some site, I had an old cup of coffee that I had put on the floor and forgotten about… And I kicked it over onto the carpet. Thankfully, they came in to clean it. They have been doing the best they can but I have also made a few videos on what it’s like to have a disability and being quarantine in a hotel… I don’t think anyone thinks of these things… They have been making little adjustments, I open the door to take the food, and we social distance and they were masks… But this hasn’t been easy and I can’t wait to get out on Sunday. By the way, I hope you understand me as I am using dictation.

I just screamed with laughter at the 'Pluggate) saga!!! I did exactly the same thing in Dar es salam, Tanzania!! It was my 1st night & turned out to be the last time I saw a proper sink in 3 months!!!. Glad you're managing the quarantine ok & without too much stress. Don’t understand how you can be so happy and upbeat about this horrible situation

We’ve been in a pretty hard lockdown since 25 March. The first stage lasted 5 weeks, and we couldn’t leave home at all. They finally allowed things like riding and non-contact sports towards the end of June. We’ve also had a ban on cigarettes since then (that lifted this week), and on/off bans on alcohol since then too. I completely relate to you feeling a lack of motivation - I even gave up on my honours degree because I just couldn’t do it anymore. Glad you came out of this though - and many happies for the new adventure!

Thanks for sharing your hotel quarantine experience in Adelaide. As I might have to do the same soon, I just keep wondering whether the hotel provides some necessities, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, slippers, etc?

I know that this will most likely be too late but you may find it easier to just either buy a sim or pick up a cheap smart phone to use while your here. Telstra is probably the better network as it’s service coverage is much better than other networks. The Post Office does sell phones if you don’t have anywhere else to pick up one. Hope your having a great time in Australia 🙂

I have a question!! If a 3.5yo Pali WB x SH gelding was able to be leased for you to ride. He's been broken and was bought for eventing etc would you want to lease him? He's absolutely magnificent 16hh, and I believe near Bendigo. The owner has 3 horses 2 endurance that she's getting back into and this young one, but she also studies and has a toddler so doesn't have enough time at the moment.
