Join me for my 48 hours in New York! I wanted to do something different and this was a pretty huge challenge for me. I have never solo traveled alone in America even though I have done it in Asia for 4 months lol. I don't know anyone personally in NYC so I was truly in charge of figuring everything out as I went!

@@eatnplaytoday Of course that's a necessary part of life too, I'd never advocate spending all your time alone but time to yourself is so soothing and peaceful. I need a lot more alone time than most and finally allowing myself it after years of trying to please others and have never been happier. Got my first solo trip in a few months and I can't wait - trips with friends or a partner are great but involve a lot of compromise. You can do whatever you want on your own, it's a beautiful and freeing feeling.

I travel alone because I have no friends and for the most part, I am fine but there are also times I wish there was someone who shared the same interests as me so we could travel together. For example, I went to Japan and felt so alone, good company makes a big difference!

New York is a vibe, it’s a rough place energetically. I’m 2 hours away from NYC and I never want to go back again after years of going. Don’t give up solo travel… there are places to go that aren’t nearly as intense and safe alone.

@@elaineq9565 what im saying is it’s not a tax 29.99 means 30 no matter where you go. In NYC we get taxed on everything but food items I think like grocery. So 29.99 is just 30 dollars everywhere in the US then tax is typically like 89 cents
