Alrighty guys, so you asked me to show you what I ate in a day so I chose a random day and recorded everything I ate! This is a pretty typical food day for me given that it's summer so there's lots of fresh veggies and salads. My meals will generally change throughout the seasons but it's usually high protein and low carb. I will have a YOLO meal or a cheat meal once a week if I need it! Also, if you wanna see what I eat every single day, add me on snapchat "blogilates" and you will see the real deal.
Hope you liked this video! Let me know what else you want to see!

People are criticizing her for being hungry "all the time" but notice EVERYONE gets hungry when dinner time is coming up. And to that damn frelee girl all I can say is very unprofessional. Stop self prompting! If you cared so much about her diet and were so concerned she would have done it privately. Not shaming her and contradicting her lifestyle AND job in front of her fans. Seriously very disrespectful. Is like going to a gym and telling a trainer in front of their customer that they are doing it all wrong, and should do it their way. You trying to gain viewers, acknowledge or hate?

May I point it out to you that this video is about "Casey Ho's" regular diet and it should be left out at that? I think it is very rude for people to come here just to give thumbs down and ranting on about low carb and high protein diet. As some of you have said, *every person are different*. Every diet always accompanied with their own *pros and cons*. If she exceeds her calorie intake, so what? If she consume a lot of protein, so what? What calculator are you using anyway to conclude such statements? I can find 100 different methods to count your daily nutrition value in the internet, yet none of them can be claimed 100% perfectly accurate. Can any of you prove it? I am a vegetarian, and yes no wonder non - vegetarian/vegan people are hating on us. I think pretty much every videos I watch in youtube with "diet" content in it would get bashed by people showing off the vegan/vegetarian diet. You can agree or disagree, but you don't need to roll your opinion over the top.

Jocelyn Grace I know right! In their own words they scream " this doesn't work for me- everyone is different!!!", but then offer some of the nastiest and most insensitive remarks about her appearance and diet and what she CHOOSES to eat and what has worked for her. She is so brave to be able to deal with this. Just reading some of these comments make me angry for her. :-(

Yes! Sometimes people are so selfish. Taking advantages on other people to favor themselves. If their goal is to make themselves happy by insulting Casey, well.. SHAME ON YOU. I can't stress how immature these people are. They need to sort their shit out and stop taking it to everyone else, especially on people who are TRYING TO HELP, like Casey. Learn the quote: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all". They have no idea how much damage they can put into someone else's mentality because of their 2 cents worth of words. This is why we are here Tara Doyle , supporting Casey as our gratitude of her kindness! "Be brave and be kind". #cinderellaquote

For everybody bashing what Cassey eats: Cassey is a fitness instructor! She is eating perfectly healthy, nutritious food. Before you start telling her "You're not healthy!" take a step back and look at yourself. There is no small path that people have to take to being healthy. If high protein, low carb diet works for Cassey, leave her alone. Just because "Freelee the Banana Girl said so" doesn't mean she's right. People are different. People's bodies are different. Cassey is a health and fitness instructor!

She eats low cards not no carbs. Sorry that she's not eating a McDonald's cheeseburger and fries like most of you normally do. I actually ate everything she made in this video for one day because I was feeling pretty motivated to eat right and was feeling pretty stuffed, I didn't exercise throughout the day like she did but who cares. Oh, to the vegans who watch her videos and leave hate, no one cares about your opinion. to the people who say she is starving herself, why don't you actually try these foods and see for yourself how much protein is in them and how filling they actually are, don't count how many carbs or calories are in things, you should measure by how full and satiated you are at the end of the day! p.s. try the banana pancakes, kinda hard to make but really good if you add oats, cinnamon and vanilla extract to it.

Carbohydrates are not the best source of energy (or not the most efficiently burnt off) for a small group of people. I have a friend who has polycystic ovary syndrome. She naturally has more male hormones than female hormones. As such, this has caused her body to have problems with her metabolism. She tells me that with any carbohydrate source, even fruits, she gains fat. When she takes notice of what she eats and eats a low carb diet, she has no problem losing weight. However, I can eat carbs day on end and have no problem gaining weight. That being said, how carbs are used/stored in the body is genetically determined.

I think its hilarious that everyone becomes a nutritionist and knows what kind of diet is good for Cassey. You "fruit bats" as you guys call yourselves, even though you may be trying to give helpful advice come off so arrogant and self righteous that no one but other alike people are going to listen to any "advice" you try to give. One diet is NOT, good for everyone. It is awesome, truly that you feel fantastic only eating extreme amounts of fruit, however that does not agree with some peoples bodies. I just wish that you "fruit bats" could have some modesty and be more polite, if you are indeed trying to help someone. No one, and I mean not one person is going to listen to someones "advice" when they say that the way you're living right now is wrong, gross and "sad". Just some food for thought. Also I can see what you guys act like this when I saw your role model call someone who doesn't follow what she does a "undercarbed troll" It's just terrible. That is why I personally wouldn't follow her, though I don't disagree with it just more positivity from her community would be awesome. I love Cassey because she uplifts and makes others feel happy, even if they're not living exactly how she is. She is so positive and gives her followers so much happiness. :) Plus her workouts kick my butt!

I agree! :) When has it become the norm to go around youtube attacking people that don't eat the same things they do? This whole thing that Freelee stirred up is baffling. When Freelee said she wanted to give Cassie some "constructive criticism", she should have done so by sending her a message in her inbox, and maybe have asked her privately for permission making a video about how wrong her diet is. How rude it is to invite your subscribers to bash on another youtuber who actually minds her own business, smh.
@ZebrasEatMarshmellow
@ZebrasEatMarshmellow 10 жыл бұрын
Talia Savina Exactly, and not only that but she replies to other people in such a rude fashion. It's understandable the way her fans act insensitive towards others, because that's what she does. If you're a role model, and anyone trying to promote a healthy lifestyle is, then you should not be so mean and critical towards others who have a difference of lifestyle or opinion. I actually just read something Cassey wrote on her blog pertaining to this video, and it reminded me why I follow her. :) Not like there's not a million! Hehe. "The answer here is simple. All our bodies are different! Something that may work for you may not work for me. Something that works for me may not work for you. As you can see, we are all shaped differently on the outside, so you better bet that we are all different on the inside too. Like with personalities, different people can react to the same situation in various manners." She's so supporting to people, who don't follow the same exact lifestyle. :)

Yes! This is why I love her. She's uplifting, not degrading. I almost considered subbing to Freelee's channel a while back, but her style of "helping" people makes her look like a militant vegan. The pattern of arrogance in her subscribers and their habit of name-calling is irritating as well. And I love how Cassie reacted as well. Thank you for sharing what she wrote on her blog. One thing is not going to work for everyone. Especially the high-carb thing, eating so many starches and pasta makes me feel sick and bloats me like crazy. I think Cassie also mentioned her symptoms in response to eating high-carb in her video, but Freelee (just so happened to) cut it out so her viewers wouldn't hear it.
@ZebrasEatMarshmellow
@ZebrasEatMarshmellow 10 жыл бұрын
That is what she replied when asked why she doesn't eat bread. This is what she replied when a person informed her on her Facebook page about Freelees video. "Craziness. Everyone's body is different and healthy means something different for every person. I accept all types of diets as long as they make you happy and you're nourished. What I don't accept is close-mindedness and imposing your own beliefs on others." She said what she felt, and expressed her opinion in a polite fashioned way. She held her own, even though she was the one who was being insulted, because btw Freelees the title of the video on Cassey was "Is blogilates Cassey straving herself, my thoughts on low carb, low cal diets" So Cassey didn't even have to watch the video to know she was going to get bashed in it. I too was going to follow her a while back, until I saw other videos of her commenting on other peoples diets. If she was really professional and wanted to help she would disclose the issue privately, not make it a public space where her followers feel like its okay to talk badly about the youtuber, or their fans.

You summed it up. :) It should be common sense that everyone reacts differently to certain foods. I try to avoid watching Freelee's videos putting down other people's lifestyles, but when I saw her video pertaining to Cassie, I couldn't even believe it. I was starting to buy into Freelee's claim that she's just helping people, but now it looks like her act of sympathy is fake. "Thanks for the love and recommending my channel :) Gotta love the undercarbed trolls like Zoe she's been trolling my channel for ages - they don't have enough true love for themselves so they project their hate onto others. Keep spreading the fruit seeds

Cassey-- I'm vegan. Please don't think all of us are in this "holier than thou" mindset. I personally don't think bashing someone else's diet, making a whole video about it, and calling it "constructive feedback" is constructive at all. I do believe most of the vegans who commented on Freelee's video have good intentions and truly want what's best for animals AND human beings, including Freelee. I can understand if you're upset and frustrated; I would be too! Please don't be turned off by veganism because of these comments. And I hope your viewers aren't either. Thank you.

Wow, the freelee video is not cool with me, though I can see she has good intentions. I would have been okay with it if Cassey had asked for feedback or if she had at least made Cassey anonymous. It comes across as harsh and judging, especially to people who may have not been exposed to raw foods before. By posting what Freelee did, she is saying her way is the best way for everyone just because it is working for her. I don't think it's right to assume one way is right for everyone. I was vegan for 10 years (3 years on raw foods) and used to act just like freelee did in her video by insisting everyone should be on my diet. This really turns people off and gives vegans a bad name. My experience is that it's better to set an example and let people who are interested come to you. I like the way Cassey did it because she just shared information but didn't come across has judging other people's diets or telling other people what to do. Incidentally, I ended up with health issues in the long-term from raw foods, but I do think I also learned some very positive habits too. I didn't feel great on Paleo, but I do think there's positive aspects to pick up from both these diets if one stays open-minded. I hope that Cassey continues to share information.

Definitely. I don't personally think there's one perfect diet for everyone (eg.I live in a cold climate and if I was raw vegan would have to live solely on imported food!). Even if there was, it's disrespectful to hijack someone's youtube material for your own channel, publicly negatively criticize someone in a condescending way, without them asking for your 'help' or opinion. If she was really concerned for someone's health, she could have contacted Cassey personally, or at least checked with her if she could use her video material on her channel. Whether you want to use Cassey's recipes or not, she's a great model simply because she shares ideas, rather than aggressively pushing them or putting others down.

Guys are you all serious?! Just because freelee commented on her diet, everybody is picking on her! Everything Cassey ate was obvoiusly super healthy and it was actually enough!! Only because she isn't a Vegan, or a raw Vegan, all you raw vegans don't have to pick on her! She doesn't say eat less, she doesn't promote an unhealthy body image, she trains, she lifts, so who are you allr to judge? Is eating clean only possible if you are a raw vegan?! If you really think so, I don't even know what to say to you. Maybe this is one of the reasons a lot of people are "against" Vegans, because they are so judgemental, cause they think everyone is doing everything wrong and they are the only ones doing it right! But Cassey did nothing wrong, and is so much more genuine and lovely than Freelee ever could be....

Just my thoughts: 1) do calories actually matter if you're getting the nutrients? Or are calories important for energy purposes? 2) I know that what Cassey is eating can face criticism, but I believe that it works for her body, and she manages to do high intensity workouts so she must be fine with that diet. 3) I doubt that she eats like this daily. I know some of these meals must have been shown because she has videos on them already. And I'm also sure that she does have a lot of protein in her salads, and more carbs than it appears.

4) Tbh, her diet is a lot healthier and balanced than most peoples so it's not like she's heavily in the wrong. I don't think it's bad as it's HER diet. If her diet doesn't work for her fans then they'll adjust to how they see fit. 5) I also understand that most of the commenters might just be worried for her, but I personally think Cassey's diet is pretty good. It doesn't appear to have a detrimental effect on her so... Yeah :)

Guys...Cassey is a big girl. She can eat how she chooses. You can't take everything you read online so seriously, especially when it comes to diets. Some studies are in favor of high carb, others low. You have to find what works for you and let other people do what works for them.

Why do people keep going crazy about all of this carb stuff?! Obviously, Cassey knows what she's doing. She is a professional! If something was wrong with the way she eats, I think she would know about it. And we would know it to because she wouldn't excel as much as she does. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way she eats and nothing depressing either! If you ask me, this way of eating is much more fun then eating a crappy Big Mac. Notice I never said "diet." Cassey is not on a diet, and neither are the people she influences. Diets suck. We are just eating clean, cheap, and FUN.

I'm vegan but I don't understand why other vegans are making such a fuss! No wonder people hate us omg. Think as veganism, omnivores, etc as if it was religion; you should let people eat what they want to eat if it's not causing greater damage to them and just don't go around "spreading the word" of veganism or rawtill4 or 801010 or whatever it is that you are doing like it's the best thing ever because (even though for you it is) when you say it outloud and try to change people into your lifestyle and way of thinking it sounds obnoxious. When people behave like that it is so embarrassing to say that I'm a high carb vegan as well. Please be respectful to other's lifestyles.

Ok, everybody needs to calm down. Yes, while I do think she needs to eat more carbs (since she dose in fact do some cardio based on her videos) it's her choice to decide what she wants to put in her body and she needs to eat what works for her. Clearly it is working for her because she looks not only good but very healthy and in shape. Its not about having a vegan diet or low-carb diet its about finding what works for you. Because each body in different and responds to food in different ways. I also don't really see why everybody is saying she is "starving" herself. Yes, her meals are low carb but she's clearly eating 3 meals a day with snacks and even some dessert at the end of the day. You also have to remember that she's a pretty small person, so she gets fully faster than bigger/taller people. We shouldn't try to shove our ideas of what we think is healthy or unhealthy down her throat. She's just doing what works for her. Alright, those were my 2 cents. Keep up the great work Casey, you are such an inspiration!

I honestly don't get why people are dissing on her diet. The food I saw looked really healthy, healthier than what most people eat. It's her diet and if she is happy with it LEAVE IT ALONE. To all the people who feel sympathetic towards Cassey and her diet or have white knight syndrome: Cassey has been doing pilates for around 10 years and has been teaching it for approximately 7 years. This diet that y'all are trying to correct is more than just a diet; it's her lifestyle. I am absolutely certain that she knows her body far better than any of you could possibly know it. And after 7-10 years of living a clean and fit lifestyle, I'm pretty sure she is already aware of what works and what does not work for her. She knows what foods and what amount of food makes her energetic. She knows what keeps her satiated. And I'm sure she is aware of what foods allow her to perform athletically, mentally, and personally at an optimal level. This is how she lives; it is not a temporary diet that is in need of fixing. And obviously, she is extremely happy, energetic, able-bodied, physically fit, slim, and does not appear malnourished at all, so I do not think that what she eats and how much she eats are issues. Furthermore, how her body functions metabolically and biochemically is something you all simply cannot know despite whatever research articles you choose to cite. So just let her be; she knows what she's doing.

I don't understand why people are so upset about what she eats. She's happy, she's healthy, and that's that. Her diet is pretty damn reasonable if you ask me, and it's perfectly normal to snack after a workout and throughout the rest of the day, it boosts your metabolism. Cassey drinks a lot of water not because it's a dieting method, but because it's healthy for you. it's also healthy to eat many little meals instead of a 2000 calorie dinner, like all of Freelee's fans think. For all the people saying that just high protein is bad--it's not. High anything--carb, fat, protein is bad. Balance is key and there is no one diet that is the quick fix. You need carbs for energy but you need protein for your muscles, tendons, and brain development. Last I checked neural networks are not formed from carbs, or else we would be putting fruit juice in baby bottles. We need a good balance of all of these foods so our body will function properly. While Cassey's diet might be lacking in the calorie department, it is healthful and diverse, and works for her. Who are you to judge what someone else should be eating?? Also when in doubt, go with science--paleo diets have been shown to outperform the Mediterranean and diabetic diets.

Oh my god! Leave her alone! Stop trying to control of how she eats. Just stop rambling of how a vegan diet is better than this diet. If she wants to eat a high protein diet, then let her eat a high protein diet. If you want to eat a raw vegan diet, then eat a raw vegan diet. Everyone has their own preference of how they want to eat and Cassey prefers a low carb and high protein diet, okay?! Just let her do own thing! Honestly, I think you should consult a doctor before going on any diet. Instead of following advice from a bunch of strangers on the internet, go to a health professional and see what they have to say.

(I am not a doctor/nutrition, but this is based on basic knowledge). Out brain/cells run on glucose. If one goes low carb long-term, isn't one depriving their brain of that vital energy? And calorie restriction, in my opinion, is NOT the answer because our body needs a wide variety of nutrients from fruits, veg, nuts, beans, seeds etc. and if one restricts their calories significantly, then they lose the benefits they could attain from more raw life-giving foods.
@mufitithebest
@mufitithebest 8 жыл бұрын
+Angie S Our bodies can turn protein to carbs if we are not taking enough in our diets. And the brain only needs about 50g of carbs anyways so cutting out most carbs (sugar, bread, pasta, rice) is okay. Also it depends on how much you are restricting calories. If someone's eating 500 calories a day that's bad, I agree but for me 1500 calories leaves me full and I get all my nutrients. Eating too little is bad for you but that is no excuse to gorge yourself. And in my experience once I cut out those high carb foods and processed crap it actually became very hard to overeat.

I tried eating a high protein low carb diet like this and believed in it for so long, but I honestly never truly felt completely satisfied at the end of the day. Even with "yolo meals" and eating junk food in moderation and all that, I honestly just always wanted/carved carbs lol. I don't want to sound preachy, but eating a high carb low fat vegan diet has really changed my life. I finally feel free to eat as much as I want without guilt and I noticed I am much happier in general. My fitness performance has improved as well, but I really do respect and give props to Cassey for always giving her all and staying so positive and upbeat. I just think her diet right now makes it so much harder to perform her job to the best of her ability. I think she would reach the most optimal health and happiness if she went vegan. She's eating WAY more than her daily protein needs (from all the animal protein) & same for fat, but undereating carbs & overall calories (an active woman like her needs about 2,500cal and she's getting about 1,400). Excess fat/protein gets stored in the body as fat, plus she's storing extra fat because her body is struggling with the undereating, so even though she's undereating, it doesn't show.

I can't believe comments like this. Would you ever say this to somebody in real life? Cassey looks great in my opinion and either way it's nobody's business to tell her how to live her life.

Isabelle Zimmerman hi! First of all, no one is saying Cassey isn't beautiful, of course she is. Secondly, if she were my friend I would most definitely say this to her face as I, as well as most people who commented on her diet being poor, am just concerned for her and the young, impressionable girls who watch her :)

Stephanie Louise I just think that saying someone doesn't look "lean or svelte" is an insult when they're whole career is based on fitness and health. I'm glad some people like you are only looking to help people and not hurt them though!

Isabelle Zimmerman I totally see where you're coming from. I felt that way too the first time I read her comment but I don't think it was said with any negativity :)

add two tbsp of oats! (and blend it so you don't even notice the oats in the mixture) adding oats really worked for me:)

Just pointing this out... The video is called 'what I eat in a day'. It's is her diet, that works for HER. Cassey never stated that this is a diet that everyone should follow, instead she's just sharing her diet for others to see, and so that they can try it if they feel like it. Cassey has also mentioned in her videos about doing what works for you because 'everyone's body is different' x

This is not a hate but basically why are her arms kinda chubby like she eats so healthy and works out so much so she must be really strong all over but they're not even toned? Like it doesn't look like muscle they kinda look soft? Just wondering

man I need to get back into being healthy. i was doing so well over the summer but now im so busy with school, work, and friends that i dont have as much time to workout and i have really fallen back into my old bad eating habits. Tomorrow is a new day though, i already made some of Cassey's whole wheat banana bread (my family loves it as well btw) and ill have that for breakfast and get a good workout in :)
