I make sour cream all the time with a cup of raw cream and a few tablespoons of kefir and just let it sit out for a few days. Gets nice and thick and delicious!

I have been with Azure Standard as a drop coordinator for 32 years! . Now, Azure sends out an email and lets you know who your driver is and the date and time! I live in Portland, OR.

Our drop is in a warehouse that has freezers and refrigerators so you can come get it as you're ready within the hours they are open. It's so nice! They do charge a $4 handling fee but it's worth it!

The unpredictability of the day and time of the drop can be a pain, but I’m so grateful for the quality products that are not available in my tiny country town.

I ordered Azure regularly for years. Drops were always scheduled, we knew the day well in advance. Driver would call me as he set up his route 7 am ish. That would give us a good time. Key: become your route drivers best friend. They love being appreciated, and will go the extra mile!

I've been organizing a drop for the last 22 years. We used to have the drop at a parking lot at the same day and time once a month. Everyone met at the drop when it was delivered. Now we have it at a home with a fridge and freezer for cold storage and people can choose to meet the truck and pick up or stop by later in the day if it's more convenient. It's twice a month, the s a me time and day each time.

I am a Drop Coordinator in CA. Our order cut off is is on a Wednesday and delivers the following Sunday. All our members who ordered receive an email with the delivery schedule a couple of days after the order is due, so approximately two days later. It works out well. It gives people time to find another person to pick up if they aren't able to or decide to order another month when they can get their order. Hope that helps! I have ordered from Azure for 17 years.

I think it's different depending on where you're at. We have a family that handles the drop and has a pick up spot for us. So they deal with the drop somewhere mid week and then we can pick up either Fri or Sat am and they actually grab our order and load in our vehicle for us. We just tip them a few dollars because they make it so easy. We also have 2 drops a month through them which is nice not having only a monthly option.

You can get organize non-gmo masa on azure! Water, masa, lime juice and make your own! You roll them and flip them like a crepe. Super easy and delicious!

Our drop gives us about a week notice of when pick up will be. We are in Southeast Kansas and it's a dead zone for health food/organic etc. We make large Azure orders, large enough we're starting our own drop soon. LOVE Azure, we get many of the same things you did. Try the Nancy's probiotic yogurt if you don't make your own, it's scrumptious. Also, their scratch and peck feeds are the highest quality we've found, our hens lay double the eggs when we feed it. Oh, and the maple syrup! It makes the Walmart stuff taste like water

The Sierra Nevada Cheese Company Farmhouse, Cream Cheese Tubs, Organic are unbelievably good. It's our go-to cream cheese!

The blocks of cheese keep so well in our extra fridge. When I am ready for them I grate the whole block and freeze bags of cheese to pull out as needed. Love the Azure cheese and the rumiano butter!

We absolutely LOVE the grass fed, raw Grazier brand cheeses from Azure!

The site gives us the week of our drop… it always on a Wednesday at noon, so I plan on it. Also our coordinator is awesome and communicates with us all if we placed an order by email. Still, sometimes it doesn’t work for my schedule. I usually get dry beans, frozen fruit, and just stuff I can’t get elsewhere. I would love to try some of their dairy items… thanks for sharing!

I never buy sour cream. A mug of whole milk & a squeezed half a lemon, Bob’s your uncle! No waiting.

The sprouted tortillas need to be stored in the freezer. I just take them out and pop them apart with the tip of a knife blade. Storing them in the freezer helps to maintain the good nutrition that comes from sprouted foods. I've ordered these same tortillas many times. My family has been ordering from Azure standard for years. absolutely LOVE them.

Recently joined & Loved the products. My son-in-law told me about them. So glad I found them.

We love Azure. Our pick up is next week. While you’re on Azure site choosing your items, look in upper right and it will give you what week to expect your drop. We always receive emails from Azure and our coordinator giving day and time of drop. I ordered that cheese it’s delicious.

Had my Azure pickup this morning! We bought a case of butter this month to get a bit ahead of the rising costs and shortages, as well as another 50 lb bag of flour for all of our sourdough goodies, lemon zest powder and two 5 lb blocks of raw cheddar cheese, which I pre-slice, separate with paper, vacuum seal portions and freeze.

I live in the Kansas City area and our drops tend to be very unpredictable too, and on top of that our driver is almost always a 15-30 minutes earlier than the time listed. I love the organic sprouted tortillas, and the hash browns are super quick and easy. I usually have a fairly large azure order because I get a lot of my groceries for the month from them. There are a few things I can get a better price on locally, and sometimes the produce from azure can be a little iffy, but generally they have better prices, and I prefer to get my groceries in bulk when I can. I also watch for items I like and use often to go on sale and will stock up for the whole year if it's shelf stable.

Our drop changes, notifying the day prior. Definitely might help to get to know others who pick up, since a few bucks for a delivery might interest some. Azure has delicious seasoning staples bags that are about 3-4x normal spice size for a good price. The flour and grains are excellent! Might try the cheese and corn tortillas now - we avoid corn for the same GMO issue, so good to hear a solution!

I love love love Azure Standard and have ordered massive orders the past few months to stock up for the rest of the year. That raw cheese is the BEST!!!!! I get all of our sugar, oats, wheat berries, flour, rice, carrots, potatoes, onions, cheeses...... the list goes on and on and on. I don't love the drop dates/times being different each month but still worth it. I am picking up my last order of the year on Monday then we are fully stocked up to get through Winter.

I love azure ! I found that the quality is so much better than what you can get from the big box stores ! I have been canning the produce from what I grow , and what I need from Azure !

The hash browns are really good and the crinkle fries are fabulous cooked in healthy fats. 😋 I have SO many loves at Azure.

I have ordered from Azure for about 30 years. The cream cheese and sour cream last far past the date if not opened. The cheese will last practically forever is opened. You can freeze the sour cream and cream cheese in the containers but us only in recipes.

We get a few days notice then down to the hour. Our driver is amazing on updates. Also check out their apple juice infused cranberries.

Until recently our drop was very regular with day and time. With the amount of growth of those shopping from Azure we occasionally have a bit of a change. Sometimes it’s just later in the day of the normal day and occasionally it gets bumped out to the next day. Either way, there is always an email saying what day the delivery will be. Sometimes hectic but so worth it!

Lisa, have you ever looked into Misfits Market? We have seven children as well and we get our bulk, frozen groceries from Azure once a month, then Misfits ships straight to our door once a week. I get all my organic produce once a week. We don’t even go to a grocery store hardly at all anymore!

I just did my first Azure Standard this past week. Its says on the site your estimated delivery day for the month, closer to time it stated the time and my coordinator did the same. They were spot on, truck was there 10 min early. Looking at my account for next month it already states estimated date. I ordered just blocks of cheese this time for slicing and shredding, mild cheddar, swiss , mozzarella, and provolone. Was a very good experience everyone help each other get loaded. I think I would ask more questions and look at the site closer for drop date. I enjoy you channel very much, thank you. I am from Jefferson City area Missouri. Not to far from you, probably have same delivery truck from Azure.

Our drop is the same time every week. Tuesdays 5-6pm. It might be your coordinator.

I've done azure for a few years and the drops used to be decided in advance, but since 2020, they let us know after we order. I had a pickup last December that kept getting canceled because of winter storms. I went to the pickup and it was canceled then the next pickup was canceled ahead of time and then it was suddenly back on..🤣 You just gotta pay attention to your emails. In my experience, the people coordinating are always helpful and understanding and will work something out with you if you miss it.

Drops in east valley, AZ are at the coordinator's house. The truck arrives like clockwork. If for some reason I'm unable to pickup,, the coordinator will hold until I can pick up on that day.

That's the best cheese we are shocked with how much we use! It's made near where we live. I always order it with my azure orders, I ordered the azure brand of their raw cheese and it's really good too almost as good as the Sierra Nevada 😊

That sour cream is the best ever! They stay good a long time too. I haven't tried the probiotic cream cheese yet, I'll look for it! That cheese is the best too! The little cheese packs would be nice on busy homeschool days when you just need to pull out a little for a snack for the kids.

Here in MA we have a designated drop date that we can look up even before we place our order.

Cheese freezes nicely. No need to put it all in the fridge and worry about it going bad.

Just a heads up, you can be a coordinator and keep the drop closed so it stays small so you don't have to fuss with all the communication. You can also just be a single person drop if you can meet the minimum. I run a drop and don't do all those extra emails. Azure emails people the details and that's enough in my opinion. I'm also considering doing a personal drop alone closer to my home and just ordering quarterly to meet the minimum.

We did it a few months back and the delivery was off by almost two hours. My hubs waited that whole time. I haven’t done it again since but I have a cart full. I love their frozen hashbrowns, bulk cheese, and bulk oats!

They have bulk butter from grass fed milk and we like it better then Kerry gold and it is cheaper when you buy 12 or more! I will have to look for that cheese!!! So awesome! I have been love Ng Azure the last 2 years.

I agree, Azure can be great as long as you know about all the cons going into it. Our stop used to be towards the beginning of the route but then got put on the end and it’s been a nightmare for me ever since, missing items along with moldy root vegetables, which means that they were not fresh to begin with because only one of the root veggie varieties I ordered was bad. Also, not properly pkging the produce for shipping creates problems in the produce. I know because hauling fresh produce from Cali to the upper midwest was our business for 35+ yrs and so I have seen it all. So word of advice, produce should never be held in a refer trailer for more than a few days, and especially when the pallets are shrink wrapped thus causing the produce to be oxygen & air circulation starved while being overly moist. So keep this in mind. I’m pretty much stocked up for the winter and am sure by the time next spring rolls around I’ll order again because many of the organic basics I get I simply cannot source locally. So just know these tips going in, keep them in mind & it will serve you well.

I hated the drop thing too so I didn't buy from them for so long. Now I have one 5 minutes from my home and I'm usually able to make it work or have my MIL pick it up for me. We love that raw cheese too! It's delicious!

Yes the random drop days get to me. It’s difficult to be ready at any point.

Don't worry about "expiration" dates! If the food is still good, don't throw it away!

I get a email when it ships and they give a estate to when it will be delivered. Then I check my emails for any notices a few days before to make sure all is good for pick up. I also check the day before and an hour before I drive an hour to pick it up.

Azure used to give you a the day to expect your drop, but that ended up being just a suggestion. Now they give you a week window. Even that isn’t carved in stone. Just the nature of ordering from them. The other downside that I have found is that you sometimes think you ordered something, but later on, after your order is processed it shows up as out of stock, and didn’t ship.

I only drive 5 minutes it’s at the coordinators house . I love the raw pepper jack and white cheddar cheese . Nancy’s sour cream is the best. I have to admit I do get carried away on ordering from azure.

We live far enough away that our Azure order takes a good week to arrive. The truck driver is always on time by a few minutes. Rarely they are out of stock. I have saved soooo much $ getting my groceries from azure.

Our drop is in the middle of a parking lot in town. We don’t know the day or time when we place our order, only the week it will be arriving. Our drop wouldn’t work well for people who work because you don’t know when it’s going to arrive!

I’m very spoiled and my Azure pick up is only 5 miles away. When I place my order it tells me what week it’s supposed to come but I don’t know the day/time until after it ships so it definitely can be a pain. Esp in the summer when it can’t be left out for very long if you have refrigerated items. I know you like KerryGold butter. Azure has Rumiano butter that is similar, so yummy and cheaper esp if you buy in large amounts. I buy the 10 pack but would love to stock up on the 30 pack when it goes on sale next. Also the 50 point central milling artisan flour is amazing for all things sourdough but it’s hard to come by as it’s often out of stock. Usually takes me a couple tries of ordering it before I actually get it.

My main reason for Azure orders is to bulk buy raw honey, which I go through a ton of and can't get locally. Besides that I mostly do dry goods.

I feel the same! We’re on the east coast so our order never seems to come when they say because of the distance and things that can happen.

I have to drive over an hour for our drop in Taylor, MO, and the day does vary, sometimes the hour changes on a whim depending on circumstances for the truck. 😕 But I love the product so every few months I just prioritize it!

That’s the most frustrating part about Azure for sure is the unknown of when the drop will be. I did it during the summer, but I have pause for the fall because our drop is about 40 minutes away and it’s too much to try to keep my week completely clear when they give me an estimated week that the drop will happen. I did love getting the cheese in bulk though.

I wish Azure standard had a drop near me. Not driving to another state. Wish they had shipping I wanted to try their raw milk cheddar.

I love Azure and have been ordering for probably 20 years! My pick up is today. It is a pain that you don’t know what day they will be delivering…. This is something new in the last year in my area! So I end up ordering only on months that I have zero appointments for the week of delivery. Lisa, do you not have your cow anymore?

I signed up! The dropsite and coordinator live about 15 minutes from me.. I haven’t ordered yet. Have you tried Misfits? I’ve been using them for t or miss, but I always find things that I “need” they have decent prices on organic veggies and kitchen staples.

I was not familiar with Azure Standard until this video. My fridge/pantry have to be reorganized anytime I am adding supplies.

The change in date/time has to do with how many drops ordered who are delivered ahead of you that month. Usually for us, the day is the same. It is just the nature of the beast.

We always know when my drop is coming in Washington

We know a week in advance for our order but sometimes they switch it at last minute if a truck breaks down. I drive 2 1/2 hrs..

We don't know our drop until that week. Generally it's the same time/day of the week. But you don't know for sure. And there's sometimes delays last minute which can throw a kink in things.

Did you know that you can leave eggs on the counter (not take up your valuable fridge space) if you don't wash off the natural protective coating? When we lived in Spain, all of the eggs were on the shelves in the grocery stores (not refrigerators). I've been doing this for years now and have never had a problem.

I know the day and rough time the day my order goes in because Azure emails you. Then a more specific time when when it ships. Our drop coordinator also texts and emails us updates.

My drop is always the same day of the week and same time since I’ve been ordering the last couple of years. From others comments it’s seems to be different experiences for everyone. It would be hard to order if I didn’t know when it was going to be delivered.
