What I love & hate about owning my Seat Leon FR

Just got my daughter a 2.0 tdi 150 FR that's been remapped to 200bhp, very impressed, it's a proper pocket rocket and a really nice drive, she doesn't like the little infotainment screen though, so may look at upgrading that

That drone noise when ACT kicks in sounds so much better than the rattle noise mine makes when on 2 cylinder mode

Mate can I ask , what it could be ??? When I rev in idle and it makes a sound like a chain or something metal, especially when it is coming down from the rev. Have you experienced something like that? It's a 2013 2.0 TDI FR

The MK2's from 06/12 were a 2.0 170 bhp TDI..in both PD & CR engines..with the CR sounding like a petrol..(which is good)....These ones de-restricted..and tuned can get a sensible 240/260 or more....

@@ryanpowell5947 ho ho ho 😵😀😀😀 Ive had no points since 2008. I don't see it lasting. What a blast. Loving the DSG box. I keep switching the eco setting on then back off onto sport immediately lol. Its too tempting. One of the best cars ive had from sn enjoyment POV

I think the suspension on the leon fr's is rather okay-ish. Okay on bad roads it does become uncomfortable, but for my daily commute i love how it sticks in corners thanks to the suspension. My friends CLA Benz had a sporty suspension from AMG Line and hot damn that thing was a rock compared to the Leon. I've been driving it now at the stock 1.4ACT 150HP. Can you tell me more about your experience to have it chipped? I'm probably very likely to do it soon. Any issues since? How was fuel? Big improvement in daily driving? What are your HP and NM numbers now? Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the comment mate, also sorry about the late reply, Good choice of car mate hope your still enjoying it, After getting mine remapped the MPG did increase by about 3 MPG on a long drive i have Managed to get 620 miles out of a tank. With performance the remap did help a lot with the higher end speeds which i felt like was a nit sluggish on the 1.4 the 0 - 60 wasn't a massive improvement but the throttle res ponder i had massively helped with the 0-60, feel free to give me a message on instgram mate if you need any help or advice :)

How did you get your badge red? I have a seat Leon for 2015 I’m trying to get the badge black and have been recommended plasti dip...what you think ?

Hi mate, yeah I would suggest to plastic dip it or get it wrapped the base come out easily there just clipped in 👍💥

Ryan Powell nice! That’s more than I was expecting, I’ve got the 1.8 fr and thinking about a remap. Maxton designs body kit on the way too!

They are an amazing engine my most recent video is in my mates car who's has a 1.8 and a Maxton design kit, I believe he got 220 out of his 1st stage

I'd imagine a 1.8 getting more than 220 from stage 1 map They come as 177 but run more like 185 standard stage 1 would take it to at least 245 seen them at 260 from stage 1

How do you find the exhaust when ACT kicks in? I’ve been thinking about getting a catback on and off for almost a year now, I don’t want it to be too loud and me end up hating it and pissing the neighbours off, likewise I don’t want to spend £££ and not notice much difference

Hi mate, Thanks for the comment, to be honest sounds really nice outside car but when the ACT kicks in you do get a deep loud drone in the car but i have gotten use to it to be honest, but if you keep on the middle box it will be fine and the noise is still nice

Cheers mate think I’ll keep the mid res and get a custom from there removing the 2nd res and original muffler box

Alright mate. I`ve got a 2016 1.4 FR. I love the car, BUT...... 1 annoying thing, is the dashboard lights sensor. Do you know how to keeep the lights on all the time, rather than just lighting up when it is light. I know it is a safety design, but i never forget to put my lights on. Cheers Ryan

The 1.8 fr has independent rear suspension. Massively improves the ride and handling.

Thing is, a lot of people buy this car for the "performance" even though it's not even remotely geared towards any performance what so ever, that's what the cupra is for

Should get the 2L tdi 184 ,I went from a 2L tdi Audi A3 to the Leon and the Leon feels much better to drive and cheaper to repair

You are nuts, other than the maintenance costs the A3 has the leon beat, hands down. I say this as someone who downgraded from a Q3 sline + to a leon 2.0l dsg

I have the 2.0 TDI MK3 FR and my mate had a Q3 and the price difference a month is 100% not worth it depending on age, my fr and his Q3 same age and let me tell you, you’d be nuts to pay more for the Q3

sounds like your exhaust is blowing, sound like the ones sitting up n down my road popping n banging and siding round the mini roundabout ,don't get it a mediocre car covered in stickers with a loud illegal exhaust, but I guess kids today got to work that though their system I guess, go faster stripes n all. lol

Couldn't agree more with the bonnet vents mate haha didn't know what i was thinking, the drone isn't to bad to be honest sounds worse on camera it's mainly down to the ACT, but thanks for the comment mate 👍

Hi mate when I was shopping for a car I was traveling alot for work so the mpg wouldn't of been great with a Cupra also insurance was through the roof, I am planning on looking at one in the future, also I know it didn't have 300bhp but everyone has there own taste on how they like to modify there cars 👍 also the Cupra doesn't have 300bhp either

Standard Seat Leon Cupra highest out put is 295 hp from factory at the moment unless it is a Cupra R which has 310 hp
