Thanks for your videos man! I got KC and currently on Scleral lenses. Optometrist recommended CXL to stop the progression. I see very well with me scleral lenses but will most likely need CXL. Super scared but your videos are amazing and encourage me a lot! Thanks!

How long u walked around with blurred vision before treatment? Did your vision improved any bits after the crosslinking? I didnt talk with the doc yet about the lenses. He first wanted to do the crosslinking and after look into lenses, not specifically the scleraral ones.

I hate to ask this, but in a couple weeks I’ll be getting my first batch of sclerals. I did fine today popping them in and taking them out in my first fitting session. They felt fine! I liked them. But I know when I get home and I’m doing this with no supervision I will be nervous. So! Do you think you can make a little tutorial showing you popping you lense in and out? It’ll help me remember! Haha Well thank you! Glad to see you’re doing well and healthy!

Hello I hope you can answer this question I just got my scleral Len for my left eye I had the cross linking done on October I can’t see good just super blurry when I put the scleral on I see not 20 vision but I can see but I feel like dizzy did you have to get use to your eye and brain to get use to see againg ?

For me, when I was finally able to see 20/20 again and both eyes were working, it took a while for my brain to process that it could use both eyes and my depth perception was off. It does get better, but if for some reason it doesnt, see your doctor and make sure the prescription on the scleral lens is correct

I accidentally got the clear care on my eye & it was not fun!!! I do use Addipaks & ScleralFil to fill my scleral lenses

Did you get any contacts lens liek right after???? I had my surgery about 2 years ago and my eye sight felt better. Now my right eye is bothering me again but I think I need the RGP contacts lens. I was supposed to go and get it months ago but I never did because my vision got better after the surgery? Just curious have you gotten any contacts?

I had to wait 3 months for my eye to heal and then I was able to get the scleral lens. It makes a huge difference, and I can see 20/20 with it, I love it.

I know you said you keep your previous lenses as a back up just in case. How do you keep them in good condition if your not wearing them as often? (Do u keep them in solution and add new solution every week or so or other ways) …. Thank you in advance for all the information. Your Videos are Super Helpful Especially Since I’m new to having KC.

I keep them in solution, and change the solution somewhat regularly (maybe every month), just so they are always ready to go. However, my doctor did tell me I could store them dry.

Are your eye number increasing after wearing scleral lenses

Hey I have a ? I have squinty eyes to where i keep having trouble getting the lenses in. Like I keep getting them stock between the top eyelid and the eye to where the bottom is not in and the sylin solution falls out. Or I'll get it in finally but it feels like somethings in there and I'll look and I got a big air bubble. And when I go to the doctor they can get them in half the time but they have trouble too. My doctor said that if the lenses didn't work out that I'd have to try coronal transplant. Should I try that or do you have any tips for me. Cause when the doctor was able to get them in it was awsome I couldn't even tell they where in except I can see real good

I hope you’ve figured out how to put your lenses in by now but, I had problems as well. Practice makes perfect, sitting down and using a plunger with a hole cut in the bottom helps a lot. If worst comes to worst, consider using a the bottom side cup as a holder for your insertion tool so you can focus on holding your eyelids open.

Oh! Another tip: Warm up your saline solution before hand (I put the tube in a cup of warm water for a minute before I crack it open. Last tip: keep both eyes open as you insert it!

I need to talk with my doctor about getting mine under medically needed I had to pay 3,000 for eye print pro and that’s just for one eye 😫

I can understand being worried. It does pass and before you know it, you’ll be looking back at it as a distant memory. Did your doctor prescribe meds for post surgery?

@@bionic_band_director yea he gave me pain meds… I already picked them up …I watch your videos and you said you were in pain waiting for the meds to get filled 🤦🏾‍♂️

The pain wasn’t too bad .:.maybe a 7/10 the first couple hours after …but after that it wasn’t above a 3 …I had bad vision for a few days though …I don’t have much vision in my left eye and got the cross-linking done on my right

I'm desperately looking for answers and have watch many videos but none have actually answered my concern which at the same time, is making clear to me that the situation is in fact wrong. I recently got a scleral for my right eye (I'm also wearing a hard contact on my left) and vision is not as expected. It's like the prescription was wrong. I have a hard time focusing to read, and it makes me angry cause I was told that once I stick this in my eye I will be able to see perfectly. Well, not true. I can see much better with my left contact which is not a scleral lens. My doctor said that my eyes and brain have to adapt to the change but not only I'm not seeing (no pun intended) an improvement after a week of using it but I spend my whole day uncomfortable and dizzy due to the weird vision. So I wonder if I would really ever be confortable wearing this or if I would have to pay again to get a new one since I feel this isn't my fault, especially because it is too expensive. Every review I've seen explain how great the feel about the new lenses but in my case, I can't say I'm impressed.

I know when I first used them it did take a moment for my brain to get used to being able to use both eyes at the same time. Depth perception changed as I went from having only one good eye to two. If your brain had relied on only one eye for a long time, suddenly having two working eyes is a major change for your brain. It would be worth going to your doctor to check the prescription to see if it is off. If it’s on, my guess is your brain is, essentially recalibrating. Remember, I’m not a medical doctor, but this is my best guess from my experience, and from what I’ve heard from my own doctor. I’m sorry you are having so many issues with this, best to advocate for yourself with your doctor to make them double check everything is sitting right, and is correct.

It makes a lot of sense, I guess I was expecting that ''bring down to tears'' moment when I got the new lens and having difficulties now it's such a bummer. I will certainly visit my doctor again, hopefully we can figure it out without having to spend big money.

@@GizelleQuant hello! So, I don't know if you follow my other comments where I shared that I already change lenses again. Long story short the ones I had weren't made with the right "measurements". I only found that out after going to another doctor who have much better equipments and not only showed me how the ones I had sat on my eye but also allowed me to see how the new ones would and should be. My vision with the new lenses is very very good. Doctor and numbers seem to indicate that it is 20/20 but sometimes I feel like I forgot the limits of a normal vision so I get frustrated whenever I can read or see something clearly lol. I have no complains about the lenses I use now. If you or anyone have any other question, I'd be glad to help.

After my first day with sclerals in both eyes after a good fitting, can confirm, I had to go for a drive just to admire. But that's what the whole day has been like. Mind blowing how these lenses work. It's like going from what I remember as 1080p ten years ago to 4k, but the HDR as well all in one swoop.
