I'm looking into getting cross linking surgery. The really scary thing for me is I'm legally blind in my other eye. So I'm going to be pretty much helpless afterwards .

Thank you for your post and I’m very sorry you had to experience this loss. Just a week ago I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my left ear and I am now completely deaf in that ear. My right ear is functioning very well. I am considering Cochlear implant to address my left ear and based on your video and other research the sound from the implant will be quite different than my good ear. My main question is, when you are using both ears to listen, when sounds came from the implanted side, do they sound altered or does the functioning ear compensate and provide input to the brain to filter out the “robotic” sound from the implant?

Howdy, I just experienced total hearing loss last week in my left ear. I’m 64 and what a change to my life! I’m still on cortisone treatment to see if my natural hearing comes back but I’m not hopeful. I have spent considerable time looking at next options so I wanted to let you know I greatly appreciate the updates you have provided with your cochlear device. Please keep posting your progress reports, thank you again!

Just received my scleral contacts a few days ago after getting diagnosed with keratoconus. I put them on the first day and they were a little uncomfortable so I’ve been trying to avoid wearing them, they look perfectly fine and there’s no cuts or anything on them so I’m gonna try really cleaning them and come back to update.

I just got my second eye done. Sleep is key. Took 3 naps the next day. It totally killed the pain. The hospital billed my insurance for 2 eyes, 171K. My out of pocket added up to 1.3K total. broken down 1150 for my premium, 53$ visit free than a 75$ for initial testing.

Hello Sir, thanks for your videos, I myself have been diagnosed with SSD in my left ear because of a viral infection. As of today its been a year to your surgery and I want to ask can how is the audio quality from the CI ear or how different is it from your Normal ear and do you still feel any dizziness say after workingout. A reply would be greatly appreciated. May Christ bless you and your close ones with great health & Happiness.

Wait i need to know how it went. Do u still get vertigo now? Hows the sound?? Were u completely deaf now u can hear sound like normal??
@KazukiMatsuoka22 күн бұрын
I went through the surgery too. You do not get sounds all at once, it will overwhelm the brain. You start with some sounds, like four different tones, get used to it, then you get some more and more till you get everything.

Hi, your videos have helped me get through my keraticonus cross linking. Could u answer a few questions please, when does vision come back? Its been nearly 2 weeks yet its still very blurry, also u got a special contact lense private, is this given on the nhs or is it a different lense? Thankyou!
@Newb1182 ай бұрын
Mines been 11 days now, still abit sore but obviously nothing like the first 4 days. Vision is terrible, can barely see text in that eye. U say about your brain having to get use to it but what if u have a brain that barely works lol?
