So true, about the importance of lenses. I heard the saying "date the camera, marry the lens" and this is so incredibly important to remember. The EF series L lenses are my favourites. Like you, I have the 24-70mm f2.8 L version 2 and it's absolutely amazing the pictures it can produce!
