We're in Pinehurst, NC and considering a move to Greenville. Hate to hear about how bad the pollen is in Greenville. It's horrible in NC, too. And don't even get me started on the mosquitoes!! I assume skeeters are a big problem in Greenville as well, eh? I just don't deal well with bugs either! LOL

I got a friend in Savannah GA. He said the same thing about nice houses being kinda near trailer parks.

@@gvlrealestate He moved down to GA from Long Island NY. He hated the humidity at first. Just a couple of years later and he's fine with it.

@@gvlrealestate It's hot and humid here on Long Island right now. It gets cold enough in winter to make your cheekbones hurt. And I pay over $18k a year property taxes for a cape code on 1/5 acre. So.... Greenville looks like a huge upgrade for me!

I forgot to ask how’s the fall in Greenville? I’m from the northeast and the fall here in upstate ny is beautiful with fall foliage and cool weather. Is it comparable at all?

I am born and raised and of course you're going to see trailer parks and things of that nature because gentrification has destroyed our city for us that has grew up here we lost our neighborhoods to gentrification smh

Some areas get localized flooding around the rivers or creeks, but no major regional flooding. I've lived in the same home for over 30 years and have never been flooded out.

Greenville doesn’t get hurricanes. We will just get rain on the outskirts of a hurricane system.

@@originalk9111 hardly ever. Plus, very few homeowners are required to cover flood insurance here. Mainly properties that border major rivers like Reedy, Saluda, Enoree, etc

Lousy road, traffic over crowding in schools. cost of living, housing costs are too high. Beware crime is like any other town.

@@originalk9111 If you're not from there, your not wanted either. I did laugh hard when I finally heard " God bless her heart... ... about the neighbor's jogging outfit. People here are like my neighbor, if you don't go their church, and like the same things, or you're not worth knowing. I'm on disability, when I moved back to Florida, and transferred everything back, 2 months later, South Carolina transferred I back illegally, and 2 people were fired for that. They have messed up my insurance also. If you need disability like my brother in law, and my sister does, then too bad, you can't get it here. It is Al'so one of the poorest places I have lived. The town I'm currently living in is tiny, everyone knows everyone, and all seem to be related. I'm positive they are inbred. I definitely don't believe in the same thing they do in this state. I could say more, but it would take to long

@@originalk9111 Pretty, but that's it. Neighbors were ok, people are mostly nice. If you need help for the house, or disability, good luck. You won't get it here. It's also the poorest place I have lived in. Greenville doesn't have renters protection, so they don't take care of property. Crime is really bad there too. My niece can walk around the town we're in now, but never there. Someone tried to poison are pets with arsenic coated fish. Two men tried to get to my niece, when we're moving. The thing that happened there that was unusual, I saw a train derail, no injuries,. The doctors in South Carolina are the worst. They have lied to my sister about her health, and totally ignored me about mine. The hospitals are inept. You won't get care at any of them. We have also caught businesses commiting fraud. Example, I require a brace on my knee, it costs $200 dollars. The places I refer to, will bill the state $800 , and pocket the rest. I have reported them. Just a few reasons why it sucks

Don't move here!! The downtown area is literally 2 blocks smh!! No major shops a bunch of hand me down stores😂 There is nothing there smh!! Locals go out of town (Atl/Columbia/Charlotte) to have fun bc that's exactly what it is a Town! They don't even have sky scrapers so this is definitely not a city! The mall is trash !! They built a park in a flood zone and two people have died since they opened! 😮 They built a hotel that is $400 a night just to look at a dirty river you can literally see for free! Greenville is not worth it I would rather go on a real vacation like Thailand for the same price! The roads are horrible!!
