As a casual player, the junk rifts were my favorite item fortnite ever added. Loved it so much that I didn't even remember them being in the same season as the dreaded mech. With that being said, can definitely see why they're a broken item in competitive lobbies, especially end game

Junk Rifts weren't an issue for pubs at all. They should have just removed MECHs after a week and given Greasy and Moisty better riftzone gimmicks. Maybe make it so you were on the Pepper effect the whole time in Moisty Palms or that you could you find a special Taco Chest or something randomly in Greasy with legendary loot only. With Tacos on the ground to heal of course but not the annoyingass dance.Then yeah, way better fucking Season.

if the mechs weren't a thing it'd mean that they wouldn't have done terrible balancing in chapter 2 aswell, guns not having to be blue or above to even be decent, no season 12 aim assist problem, no bots in pubs, not nerfing every headshot multiplier into the ground even on the shotguns, no snipers at every corner and maybe they wouldn't have stretched seasons for no reason

I still remember my first game at that poi, it was one shot and the half lobby landed there. I had no gun, and I was waiting for it to happen. U just had a break and got healed 🤷‍♂️, but I understand, that it was annoying for some people. I also didn't hate mosty palms, it was just annoying and I only landed there 1 single time

The mechs were op, but got nerfed and taken out, idk why everyone forgets that. Look at the the lootpool... Sooo great. The shotgun meta was awesome imo. No trash guns like surpressed smg, tac or ak (I know, it got buffed, but it's worse than in SX). No spaz dominating. It also didn't have op mythics and mythic pois. Comp is so boring and repetitive nowadays, I rather have junk rifts in the game, than nothing. I miss the absence of the op spaz.

5:42 Whatever your sentiments about Season X may be, look at his loadout and the weapons. AK, Tactical Shotgun and Surpressed SMG and now compare what they used to be back then to what they are now. The AK has had a minor buff recently but the other two? Absolutely terrible. Neutered in Chapter 2 like a lot of other guns I loved in Chapter 1 including Combat Shotguns, Scoped ARs, Tactical SMGs and many more.

Chapter 2s focus was on balanced gameplay but they went too far for guns like the silenced SMG and scoped ar. It doesn't help that they don't release patch notes anymore for whatever reason. I remember picking up a suppressed smg in season 2 and dying to the fact that it was terrible and done no damage. They need to bring patch notes back and stop nerfing every gun into the ground

@@keith8225 yeah exactly. They destroyed so many ch1 guns : combat, surpressed smg, AK (before buff), tac smg, scoped ar etc. They should just revert the nerfs. I mean they nerf a gun into the ground, nobody plays it, they don't care and don't buff it and then they take it out at the end of the season. So they r still trash in creative, smh. Wow epic, ur balancing team should be fired asap and replaced with that one from ch1. There's no way, that, that's the same
