That money kinda does disappear, The British and French could easily force Germany to pay them tons of money and that's not to mention how much the war effected there economy. Germany isn't the main country holding back Russia, it's a combination of all of the NATO countries doing it. And I doubt any other country would care to much about putting back together Germany except Germany themselves.

UK's total personnel is 1.1 Million, there special forces are some of the best trained in the world as well. On land the UK is has one of the most formidable militaries, on paper at least. We haven't seen them do a large land invasion since WW2.

UK's GDP is 3.3 trillion, Germany's is 4.4 trillion. Doesn't mean the UK wouldn't bomb important economic area's and cripple Germany's economy.
