So if young Goku is at the same power level (base) that he had at the ToP, that would mean that when Ginyu switches into Goku's body, he would have a stroke and be left paralysed due to the power difference

I think King Kai would be reasonably helpful if Goku teleported to him. Kami and Popo should also be fairly accepting of some friendly child who teleported to the lookout.
